Excellent location and beautiful quiet property. Well maintained cabin. Someone has a talent for decorating and design. Everything was as they said it would be. Game room was an added bonus for card playing. Enjoyed the use of the Kayaks and fire pit with the smore supplies. Cooked a few meals here with the awesome kitchen. Thanks for sharing your property with us. Will definitely come back again.

This property was adorable and how cool that it’s located on a peninsula where you can see water on both sides. We brought our boat with, which made it even more fun. We took the kids tubing and fished everyday!! The dock is a nice spot to hang out and swim and snorkel which we also did a lot of. We brought our paddle boards with and they have kayaks for ppl to use too. We didn’t use them but it was a great option to have if you didn’t bring a boat. Plus we got to see a few loons up close!! They were so fun to watch. The cabin was the perfect size. We ate breakfast on the cute porch in the mornings. Played card games in the nice living area too. If you bring a boat with, launch it first at the boat dock which is close to the cabin. The drive way is steep and would be hard to drive a boat up it. We did drive our empty trailer up it to park. This cabin is very close to the cute downtown shops of Nissaw! So many cute boutique and trinket shops to see. All in all we had a great stay!

This place was perfect for a girls’ weekend getaway! It was clean and comfortable. The lake was awesome. Access to bike trail was easy. Extra area of the bar was so fun to play games and laugh. Would highly recommend this place!

My own complaint is that the kitchen could be a little more stocked with cooking utensils and the like.

The cabin was very clean, spacious and had many nice touches. We used the garage/bar to store our bikes, and hopped on the Paul Bunyan trail nearby to ride them.

Truly wonderful! Plenty of space for the kids to play and explore. We had so much fun, and the kids begged to go back the whole way home. It was so nice to see them disconnect. The location is also great, not to far from town and restaurants. We rebooked another weekend already!

Perfect MN MEA weekend for our family of four - on a lake, near local attractions and activities. Greeted with a personalized card and invite to local cafe (thanks!). House, bedrooms and property were well decorated and comfortable. Solid WiFi. Loved the bar shed. Kids rode the kayaks. Watched Thursday night football and then bought the new Taylor Swift album at Baxter, MN Target on Friday. If you’re in a pinch for dinner, Tasty Pizza North will deliver. Well water has an odor, but showering in it leaves no residual smell. (Awesome shower). Might want to bring bottled drinking water. Sorry I burned most of your firewood, but our S’mores were delicious all 3 nights. Will bring more wood next time we book.

The cabin was gorgeous! Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities that you could ask for. You can really tell the owner’s take pride in their property! Every detail was well thought out and it made our weekend getaway fun and enjoyable! The lake is quiet and beautiful, we regret not getting out on the kayaks but it was a bit chilly the day we planned to explore the lake. You won’t be disappointed in booking this amazing spot! We will definitely be back for another getaway in the future!

The property is beautiful. Looking out of the cabin at the trees and lake...and then walking right down to the dock in a few steps was fantastic. The kayaks were so much fun!!! (Thanks Eric and Laura for your help!) It was such a great experience to enjoy sights and sounds on the water. The fire pit was awesome. (Thanks for the smores!) Would love to come back one day and again enjoy the comfortable and well stocked cabin, rec room, and lake front. Thank you!

Modern, clean and relaxing! We greatly enjoyed our family trip together and all 5 members of our group, (mom, dad, 3 kids) found aspects to keep entertained - fast wifi, smores at the firepit, fishing off the dock, kayaks to use, swimming and plenty of space to enjoy our time together. The cabin has been completely updated with modern features, fantastic kitchen and bathroom, bedrooms were very comfortable with beautiful views of the lake. The detached bar was a hit on pizza night and the location was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

The cabin is completely renovated and beautiful. The amenities were great; a dock down at the lake with kayaks provided, an awesome outdoor fireplace, grills for cooking (one a Traeger smoker), and a neat bar in the garage/outbuilding. Location wise, it was perfect distance from both Nisswa and Pequot Lakes, a few minutes in either direction. The lake was amazing, the water super clear and clean and a perfect depth for the kids to jump off the dock. It’s such a great size lake and a beautiful setting.

This home was perfect for our family, renovations are amazing and the place was so clean and stocked with everything. We enjoyed the extra space outside for evening games and the dock was great for swimming! We would absolutely stay here again.

A great spot! Wonderful lake and a beautifully remodeled, cozy cabin with a smart layout. Very large bathroom and kitchen that accommodated our family of 5 very well. We loved everything about this place inside and out. As advertised, with comfortable beds and nice linens. Bar area with TV is a great bonus space. The lake and dock are beautiful, great fishing just off the dock and kayaking with loons and eagles everyday. We made great memories. Thank you!

The Pow Wow cabin was the perfect spot for a restful vacation! Beautifully renovated with an all-new interior and exterior features - clean, comfortable, and so much attention to the details. I cannot say enough great things about this rental, but I will share a few: 1) 5-star cabin – well equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom towels, soft sheets and great pillows, new appliances throughout, porch to welcome the morning sun; 2) Lakeside - amazingly clear East Twin Lake, great swimming along the sandy shore, the 2 kayaks were perfect for exploring the quiet lake & beach area across the way and watching the loon family each day; 3) outdoor space - nightly fires with wood from property, comfy outdoor chairs, large picnic table for meals or games and night lighting creating a beautiful atmosphere. The cabin location was ideal – many options for a quick drive for a bite to eat, tourist shopping & entertainment, or picking up a forgotten necessity. Super easy check in and check out with grateful and generous hosts. Having rented several properties, Pow Wow has been the best to date - we didn’t want to leave! We left refreshed and will definitely be back again!

We had a great time at the cabin and very much enjoyed our time there. Our days were spent on the dock swimming., fishing and relaxing. We also spent time exploring Nisswa and Pequot Lakes. The shops, restaurants and local attractions were great. Our nights were spent around campfires and playing games in the bar room. This place had everything we were looking for and more. We hope to return in the future!

Wonderfully cozy cabin with updated interior was a perfect spot for our family of 4 to spend a few days. We were easily able to access the property, a thoughtful welcome awaited us and the location was just great. Check in was easy and everything worked as expected so we really had no reason to contact our hosts. The stairs down to the dock are a bit steep but we were able to navigate them easily. The provided kayaks were a great way to get out on the water and we enjoyed swimming off the dock. The firepit was a great spot to enjoy the evening and listen to the loons. The interior has been recently updated with a well setup kitchen and a lovely bathroom. The improved comforts don't take away from the "up north" experience for me but do make for a nicer stay. The sun porch was a great place to play games or just enjoy the view. Really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely return.

The pictures are accurate but don’t do justice to how well the interior has been refreshed and how nice the view is from the fire pit and dock. Well spaced out from your neighbors so you have great peace and a sense of private retreat. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this cabin to others coming to the area. Eric, the owner, stopped by shortly after we arrived and explained how to use the gas igniter for the fire pit which was all set up and ready for use. . The cabin was neat ,clean,cozy and very relaxing. The party room was a plus although we did not have the opportunity to use it but the storage room was great to house our bikes while not using them .The location was great for us as we were visiting family in nearby Jenkins.We would definitely stay here again. This is the best place we've rented in the Brainerd lakes area and we have rented many homes over the last decade. It is a brand new remodel that has nice finishes, lots of space for sitting both inside and outside and is in a perfect location to access Nisswa or Pequot Lakes. We enjoyed the kayaks, fishing from the dock, morning coffee at the outdoor spot, sitting in the living room together and walking on the PB trail. We didn't turn on the tv once! The kitchen is stocked nicely and there were plenty of towels, pillows and extra throw blankets for chilly nights or wrapping up on the couch while reading. I had an unavoidable Zoom meeting to attend the first night of our stay, but I was able to set up my laptop in the enclosed porch with a view of the lake, which made it oh-so-much-more tolerable. It is only five minutes to Pequot Lakes and maybe 7 minutes to downtown Nisswa. We know the area very well after coming for the last ten years, but newcomers would find all the magazines about local spots helpful I'm sure. The only thing I did not like about our stay was having to leave. I actually felt sad when we drove away. I think that means we have a new favorite home base in the MN Lakes area!!

This place was so beautiful and cozy! The room was facing the lake and we woke up to a gorgeous sunrise. We caught lots of fish! The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend and it’s close to lots of shopping, ice cream, restaurants and more. We did not want to leave!

This was a lovely property and we enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to all the shops, restaurants and activities in both Nisswa and Pequot Lakes. A bonus was being on the Paul Bunyan trail for walking each day. The loons were an added treat. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very thoughtful. The cabin is small but well organized and the outdoor space is the real draw. We enjoyed sitting on the dock, a campfire in the evening and coffee on the screened porch in the mornings. We would absolutely stay again.
