Villa Vollard is fantastic. The villa is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The views are spectacular, I recommend you get out of bed for the sunrise at least once as it was absolutely stunning. Getting up will be difficult however as the beds/ pillows are extremely comfortable which I’ve found to be very unusual for holiday villas! Your hostess Rena is one of the loveliest people I think I’ve ever met and makes you feel incredibly welcome and looks after you as if were visiting home. Nothing is too much trouble. Absolutely wonderful experience and very sad to be back home!! I definitely definitely recommend.

The outside space is laid out superbly on different levels and connects well with the house. The view is incredible. The architecture fits the surroundings and has history and character too. Both inside and outside fabulously maintained. The night view of the whole Heraklion with flickering lights is truly stunning. The kitchen was very well equipped for us to cook for the whole family all week. Rena is incredibly hospitable and is around every day to see what we need and the pool was cleaned daily. Rena also cooked a full meal for us which was completely unexpected.
