We booked the seaside house for a late October weekend get away and by chance the weather was perfect with high’s in the 70’s the entire three days. Accordingly we were able to spend time on the beach enjoying the weather with the house just feet from the water at high tide. The house itself was clean and comfortable. The beach side deck and furniture need some care. We found the chair and couch pillows stained. I’m sure the patio furniture suffers lots of wear given the location but even more the reason to replace the pillow’s frequently. On another note, we take long weekends such as this about three times a year in similar small homes along the Maine coast. This was the first time that a house we rented was devoid of linens, towels, bath mat and basic amenities to feel welcomed. We found ourselves heading over to Reny’s to buy the necessary items needed for the weekend. It was and is stated in the lease agreement but I failed to read the contract thoroughly. In spite of the inconvenience I would highly recommend a stay.

David’s house is located on the gorgeous beach with 1 of 2 bedrooms looking out at sea. Kitchen is equipped with new appliances. David is very easy to communicate with.

Very nice little cottage right on the beach. In proximity to many stores, activities, but you don't need to go anywhere when you have the beach right outside the door.

Loved the view and the ability to walk out onto the beach so easily. Easy walk up to a few shops that were luckily still open in October. Good shower - plenty of hot water and water pressure. Very well equipped kitchen.

Doesn’t get much better than this. Atlantic Ocean at your doorstep with fresh sea breezes to inhale. Cute, quaint New England town. If you rent here, please, read the rental agreement from top to bottom. There are a couple of things you’d think were included but aren’t.

The property is just what we wanted. Small, but perfect for us to spend the night and have family come and play on the beach every day! One relative said "Great flow to this house." It just works really well - eating area, kitchen, newly renovated bathroom downstairs, and best porch under roof, and dining table with umbrella, then beach is 2 steps away. All ages enjoyed it.
Can't wait for next year!

I could not have asked for a better vacation home for our family trip. We have been going to Wells for years and we decided to book this house this year for convenience of both location and parking and it certainly did not disappoint! Right on the beach and walking distance to everything. 5 Star for sure! Highly recommended!!

My family (husband, mom, and our kids, 5, 4, and 1) all stayed at this beach house the first week in June. It was AMAZING. The house was equipped with everything you could need. Especially in the kitchen. We cooked a lot at the house, and everything was provided. Lots of beach toys, chairs, etc. Washer and dryer came in handy too.
Super clean. View from the house was the best! The tide would come in and go out multiple times a day. Which would leave a giant beach to play on and walk. Tide pools were left, which the kids liked to splash in. New rocks and shells everyday on the beach, which we loved to explore. The water from the ocean was crystal and clean, beautiful water on Wells beach!
The location was great. Very safe. The neighbors and people in Wells Beach were friendly. Super chill. There was a little arcade down the end of our street going into town that the kids loved. Ogunquit (7 min away) and Kennebunkport (20 min away) had tons of cute shops and restaurants. Right out of a book. There was a grocery store 3 minutes away.
All in all a wonderful trip. You can’t beat the view and beach. I don’t go places twice usually for vacation, but I would 100% come back here. Loved it!

This house is amazing! It is right on the beach in Wells and we spent much of our time enjoying the ocean from the covered porch when we weren’t walking and playing on the beach with grandkids. Our family of five adults and two young children had an absolutely wonderful time. David was great to work with and the house had everything we needed for meals, beach chairs and toys for kids. Hoping to return next year!

This house couldn't have been any better located. Your first step off the back porch is onto the beach. It was perfect for getting the baby on the beach in between naps. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We'd definitely recommend this place and hope to stay there again.

This beautifully decorated and furnished cottage home is the perfect combination of beachy yet classy. It’s in a location that is close enough to the main center (with shops, dining, and an arcade) that you can walk to it by beach or by the road, but is also far enough away from it that you have privacy. Just steps from the sand, it has beautiful ocean views out of every window and in the evening the neighborhood is quiet, so you can fall asleep each night to the sounds of the ocean. It’s very dark at night, so you can enjoy the bright nighttime landscape of moon and stars from the porch or patio…we saw shooting stars almost every night! The large concrete patio on the beachside has lounge chairs and a large patio table with chairs (and a gas grill) if you prefer to hang out outside without getting sandy. You might check to see what items are already there before you go to the store because it is well-stocked. The beach is clean and the shore is flat which is great for walking and looking for shells. The cool ocean breeze and icy water is so refreshing and is just devine! We had a wonderful stay in case you can’t tell and hope to return next year! 5 stars!!

We had a wonderful and relaxing family vacation! This a well maintained and perfectly located home, with amazing views and incredible access to a beautiful sandy beach. The kitchen is well-stocked, and we loved the porch/patio and grill. The owner was very responsive to questions before we arrived, and was available if necessary during our stay but no issues came up.

Ten days went too quickly at this home situated so perfectly, with beautiful sunrise views and just a few steps to the beach to the east, sunset views over the marsh to the west, and a very short drive further west to Rt. 1 and all of its offerings. The convenience cannot be understated - choice of sandy beach, the lovely large patio with the well-functioning grill and firepit, or the covered porch (with an array of furniture) made adjusting to the ever-changing weather a breeze!
The interior was clean and nicely modernized, with a beautiful very large tiled shower in the first floor bath, updated kitchen (with kudos for the wine/beverage cooler and the separate icemaker!!), a dining nook which was we used as jigsaw-puzzle-central, and a kitchen table in the center of the space that easily fit our family.
Good communication with owner prior to and on arrival, as well as at departure (none needed during our stay).

We had an amazing week at the beach. The house was newly renovated and renovated well. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Propane in the grill. The owner was quick to respond with any questions. We will be back!

Quintessential beach house
My family and I enjoyed our short yet wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The beach house was the perfect size and location ideal! Views were spectacular and communication with host excellent. The home was fully stocked with all essentials and we ate at each of the places (pics shown on listing). All were a delight! I wish we had more time to stay! Highly recommend!

Breathtaking ocean view Comfortable accomadations
It was wonderful to be able to sit on the covered back porch and the open deck and enjoy the ocean. The beach was 6 steps down and no crowds! The house was we!!

Just what we were looking for!
Everything about this rental was perfect - the location, the house itself, the communication, everything. We had plenty of room inside and out. We ended up with great weather, but even if we'd had to spend more time indoors we had all the space and amenities we needed. As it was we spent almost all of our time on the porch, patio and beach and the set-up is great with lots of furniture, a covered area to get out of the sun, and direct access to the waterfront. All of the communication was friendly and prompt, and we even got some hand-delivered grill tools when we reached out to ask if there were any on site! We would not hesitate to return for another getaway!

Open the sliding glass door you have the private porch... a few steps down a stone patio... a few more steps down and you're on Wells beach. 180 degree sweeping views from each spot. This is a true beach house.
We spent 10 days there and loved every minute of it. Many of the houses on Wells beach were built a long time ago and it shows. This is an old one too but has mostly been modernized with all the conveniences (the kitchen was better stocked than our home). The little eating area the juts out with windows on three sides overlooking the beach is great for days when you want to avoid the weather. Location is great; communication with the host was excellent. We recommend the place and hope to return.
