This was the second time we were lucky enough to stay at this cabin. The vaulted ceilings, log cabin ambience, and stone fireplace provided a comfortable gathering place for our group of eight adults. Even though the October weather turned cold and rainy the large windows and ample deck space provided plenty of space for our group to interact without feeling cramped. We enjoyed family style dinners and breakfast meals at the large table. The scenery is beautiful and we took walks on the nearby trails. The owner was extra responsive to our questions. He was easy to work with and I found his business attitude and personal integrety refreshing.

Joe is a great host and communicator. The trip was fantastic thanks to accurate details of property and location. There was a ton of space for us and lots of indoor and outdoor amenities to enjoy. Couldn’t have been happier!!

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing location, home and hosts! The communication with Joe the host, was super responsive, he was incredibly accommodating and answered all my many questions before arriving quickly and thoroughly. Super nice guy! He even had the ice maker on the fridge hooked up right before our stay when i asked if there was one (which went to show how attentive he was to our needs.) The home was clean and sooo cozy with everything we could possibly need in the kitchen and every room in the house (extra blankets, pillow, chairs, fans, privacy screens you name it) when it comes to relaxing we had everything we needed. The house stayed nice and cool during the 87 degree week were there in June which was very nice considering its size. Every square inch of the place has some funny sign or nature statue/bird house and it wa just the cutest! The covered deck was our favorite coffee spot to see the lake come to life with who knows how many different dragonflies, fish, hummingbirds, frogs, and chipmunks. We felt transported and really connected with nature during our stay. We caught sunfish and a large bass while we were there. It was lovely to watch our family and friends soak it up and the young ones to splash in the shallow water by the dock. We took out the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat regularly and the lake is just wonderful, peaceful and calm, most of the week we felt we were the only ones. Plenty of room to gather on all levels of the home where we felt we all had our own personal space if needed, we also did not worry about running out of hot water during the whole trip even with our large group, which was a huge plus. We truly cannot wait to go back! Thank you again Joe!

The three of us enjoyed our stay at the cabin. There was plenty of room for more. The place is wonderful and had everything you needed. Joe was very courteous. We are ready to reserve our stay again.

We had an amazing time! They have everything you need for an awesome vacation! We didn't get to enjoy any of the many outdoor activities so we will going back. It was so peaceful and relaxing to sit by the fire and enjoy all the decor. We absolutely loved it! Looking forward to our next trip. Thank you Doug for your hospitality!

Fun Fun Cozy!! This is a perfect Up North cabin! So much space layout is perfect! We enjoyed sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice skating and exploring the island! Not one bad thing to say about the amazing cabin - I would rate it a 10 star if I could!

The Smith's 20th Fishing Trip during 11-18 SEP 2021 was an excellent time with family. Doug Jones Parker's Cozy Cabin (house) on East Twin Lake was beautiful, clean, with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed taking the pontoon out where we fished and just relaxed catching and releasing pike, largemouth, perch, and sunfish. Went golfing at the Quest in Houghton Lake and had a great lunch at the Lake Side Bar & Grille. Played cards, Cornhole with the family while catching plenty of College and Pro football. This home was excellent for my extended family and multiple children. Plenty of room to spread out as well as spend time together. Home was very clean, communication with Doug was easy.

Everything was absolutely beautiful! The cabin had everything we could possibly need and more. The adults loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the view it was great sitting on the deck in the early morning drinking coffee and watching the hummingbirds come to the feeders. The kids loved the lake and water pad and the shallow water was perfect for my 1 year old son and there was also a sandy area for the kids to play with sand toys. Definitely thinking about booking again in the future! Also the owner Doug was very helpful and always responded quickly when we had questions.

My family used to own a cottage on this lake, so we came together at this gorgeous location (by the way, much nicer than my family cottage) for a little remembrance vacation. I’ve never rented using VRBO. The owner was amazing, the house and grounds were amazing, I will hopefully be coming back in the future as long the owner continues to rent this gorgeous house and property. This beautiful cabin on a small and quiet lake was exactly what we were looking for. It wasn’t lavish, but everything was tasteful and fulfilled our every need. It was a great property for a large family getaway.

Great property with charm of boutique hotel. Attention to details-extremely well equipped, clean, no smell, right on the water. The owner rented us a pontoon, we had a very nice ride on the lake. Fire pit at night was a big fun. Fireplace in the house-very charming feature. Great framed signs everywhere , made us laugh all the time. The owner was extremely helpful,answered all the texts very fast, great communication. Our stay was just perfect.

This was our third time staying at this beautiful cabin in St. Helen. It has always been clean and organized. The owner is a really great communicator too. We will definitely be back again!

Property manager was very easy to work with and the property is cozy clean and felt like home! Anything you need is right there! Such a great Christmas!!!!!
