We stayed here for my bachelorette weekend with 13 gals and the house was more than perfect and spacious! Plenty of sleeping areas and bathrooms! The backyard was a perfect place for us to hang out by the pool and do a catered taco night in. I would highly recommend this house to anyone with a large group wanting to stay in the La Jolla or San Diego area!

The house was incredibly spacious, comfortably housing 16 adults. The owners were very responsive. Plenty of towels, bathrooms, kitchen utensils. Awesome communal spaces (kitchen, dining, living room, pool). Would come back!

This is a great property. Our large party (approximately 18 total, about half adults and half kids) stayed here for three nights. The house was spacious and very clean. This place is designed perfectly for multi-family parties: there a bathroom for every room, and every room has access to the backyard/pool, making cleanup after swimming very easy. The layout of the house (primarily single-story, with a slightly elevated family room/loft) made it ideal for young kids to play without excessive supervision. The house has plenty of parking, and is relatively close to the beach (though not a walkable distance) without being subject to the insane beach traffic. It was perfect for our large family beach vacation.

My kid was graduating college, so we wanted a really nice spot for the family to enjoy and celebrate. This place nails it! Has the perfect location, comfort, ambiance, amenities, and makes it really easy for people to relax and have fun. The owner/manager was nice and quick to respond. Highly recommended!

I have traveled immensely over the last decade. This has been my absolute favorite house. I've rented anywhere in the country. The views are breathtaking. Every detail of the house is fabulous absolutely wonderful. Hope I am fortunate enough to return.

Stayed here for our annual extended family ski week and everyone had a terrific time. The home is centrally located by shopping and an easy drive to get to the many ski resorts. The layout was perfect for everyone to spread out and have privacy as well as get together to enjoy meals in the large kitchen or hang out in the many common areas. The owners were terrific and answered any questions we had and made it a great experience. Had such a good time we immediately booked a spring ski trip at the same house and we are looking forward to returning.

Very nice house and neighborhood! The owner was quick to respond to any concerns. We didn’t have a chance to use the lap pool, spa or outdoor furniture but there is a nice yard for relaxing or eating outside. Plenty of room in the kitchen and family room for our group of 9 adults and 3 babies. (Brought our own baby gear)

In July our three families from Texas, NY and London met in La Jolla, San Diego for a week of relaxation and fun! Our group included 6 adults and 7 kids ages ranging from 12-17. We chose the Muirlands house based on location, amenities and photos on the internet. We were not disappointed! The home is way larger than the photos indicate! There are 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. The master bedroom also has a bonus room with a sleeper sofa. All the kids except the oldest stayed in the front room and there was a bedroom for each couple and the oldest kid.
There are several areas to hang out in throughout the house! We had morning coffee on the front balcony overlooking the water, watched evening movies in the upstairs living area, cooked and prepared meals on the large kitchen countertop, ate meals at the large dining table, had small meals at the breakfast nook, more coffee on the outdoor patio nook, drinks and meals at the outdoor dining table, grilled on the outdoor grill, swam in the massive long pool, chilled in the spa and even did laundry in the garage facilities! There is a water filtration system at the sink and refrigerator, drip coffee/kcup machine in the kitchen.The driveway had plenty of room for our large SUV and minivan.The house sits up high in the hills in a beautiful quiet neighborhood.We took walks to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and down to the lower areas and enjoyed the stunning views.Location is great and 5-10 min drive from many places.
The owner is very responsive with communication via the VRBO website, text or phone call. He is very knowledgeable about the area and if anything stops working, he is quick to set up repairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house for others!
