We enjoyed our experience and recommend this listing to others. The apartment is located in an older building in an older neighborhood, but the host did an outstanding job of bringing it up to date. The apartment does not have a living room, but I will not allow this to impact my overall recommendation as I should have observed that in the pictures provided. The kitchen does not have a stove/oven available, but there is a larger toaster oven, microwave, portable stove burner(s), and electric griddle available. Again, it was my error and the listed amenities did not include either of these. The host was exceptional with communication, which was very much appreciated. The neighborhood is an older neighborhood, and it’s not unusual to observe interesting citizens walking down the street from time to time. Overall, the property met our needs during our time in Sioux Falls.

The small apartment was perfect for our needs- and perfect for two people! It is located just a few blocks from the downtown district, and we were able to walk to most places we wanted to visit!

Everything was spick and span clean, a great neighborhood to walk my dog since it was on edge of historical district w old neat houses and lovely church. Thumbs up,

BUGS. YES, you read that right. This place had what Abby claimed were earwigs (“gross but harmless” in her words) crawling around in both bedrooms and the bathroom. The first night when we discovered the bugs, we were first asked to move to one room (hard to do when we are a family of 4 with a pet), then we were told that we could vacuum them up and clean the floor with soapy water. After that, we had to clean nightly as they were crawling in the bedrooms on the floors, on the shelves by the beds, in the windows, and even found one on a pillow. We couldn’t change out the pillows or pillow cases as there were none available (one extra pillow without a case and one with mascara on it). Some of the other reviews mentioned the cleanliness; however, that was not the case for us! There were facial hairs behind the faucet in the bathroom and the floors felt dirty walking around. When we took shoes off by the door , immediately felt like we had dirt on our feet walking around the apartment and that night when we vacuumed to clean up the bugs, we vacuumed up lots of lint and hair from around and under the beds. The griddle provided had to be washed before use due to being dusty and covered in crusty food/grease. When discussing the bug situation and cleanliness issues at check out, Abby was not willing to work with us to resolve our issues in any way and stopped communicating with me.
