Don't stay here. My locked bike was stolen off my car rack as I was loading up to leave. I found a weed pipe and live bullets left on the steps. The AC sounds like a jet engine. The staff tries, but they can only do so much.

Worse hotel ever. The room was just filthy, from the toilet on down to the tub. I went to speak with someone at the front desk about two hrs later they sent the maintenance guy.

This sub-par review is mostly my fault for not doing better homework. The motel as a whole is in disrepair. I should have spent $50 more dollars and stayed across the highway at a hotel. The staff was professional and courteous and the room was as clean as it could be considering it hadn’t been renovated in quite some time. For the budget minded traveler, it would be acceptable. Just wasn’t what I wanted for me and my wife. My fault not theirs.

Friendly staff. Breakfast is adequate. Property is in dire need of an update. In my room, there was very old carpet, bathtub had burn marks in it, ceiling above tub was leaking, refrigerator had thick ice in it (needed to be defrosted). Surprisingly, the bed was comfortable; slept well the two nights I was there.

The facility was old and falling apart. Our door did not have a lock on it. the floors looked like they had roach pooh stuck to them. We had no house keeping service the entire time we were there. VERY disappointing.

We arrived to our room at 3am after long day of weather delays in Chicago. Attempting to find out when we could check in by, we had multiple times we were told by three different people. The elevator had an unpleasant odor, which we attributed to the stick down floor panels and humidity causing some sort of bacteria/mold. When we opened the door, the strong smell of wet cat/ cat urine, which was localized to the closet. One of the bed mattresses was concaved in the middle and the top cover sheet had stains on it, near the foot of the bed. Upon doing more research, it was found the mattress was made in 1998. The bathroom area had hair around the edges, under the toilet, and there was even hair in a folded towel. The heating/cooling unit in the room vibrated so much it set itself warmer when the dial was placed in the middle, which made sleeping a bit of a mess. We ended up purchasing air freshener from a nearby store to attempt to clear the air the next morning, which had little success.
The one positive about the place was the night attendant. The same gentleman was very friendly and helpful when we checked in and out and deserves consideration when it comes to someone advancing.
Also, the French Market is way more than an eight minute walk as advertised. The walk to the water ferry alone is 4.5 miles from the location.

Staff was kind and helpful. That's where the good experience ends. There were two small beds and a dirty room. Even a piece of pepperoni from a pizza on the floor, and what appeared to be a urine stain at the foot of the comforter of the bed we didn't use. Cigarette burns stained the tub and window covering.
We decided to stick with it, until returning from an afternoon outing the second day. There was a whole giant family loitering RIGHT in front of our room drinking beer from a cooler. Staff approached them about moving, in which they finally complied. That was the final straw for us. We left and demanded a refund for the second night and we stayed in NOLA East at a Holiday Inn and everything was great there. Nice staff, but I had a feeling people lived here and management / ownership allows this low standard. I would not in good conscience recommend this place.

Carpet was still wet when we checked in. No biggie. Only had 2 washcloths for 3 people. Someone came by to see if we needed anything and when I asked for another they walked away. No hot water. Other than this they were extremely nice and helped any way they could

Arrived early and was not able to check-in, which is no problem, so we left our bags and went out and explored for the afternoon. When we arrived back at the hotel they had cancelled our reservation even though they had our bags and checked our reservation when we arrived. We had to wait an hour for them to “find us a room” since they had over booked. Once we were in our room, which was a king rather than two double, there was a terrible smell. We dealt with the smell knowing there were no other rooms available. The shower faucet leaked all night and the toilet made odd noises. There was no extra toilet paper or tissues. In the morning, I was sad to see there was only decafe coffee provided in the room. When we went to the continental breakfast, the coffee maker was broken. Overall very disappointed in our stay.

I walked in and out of my room. I told the office of the STENCH of Mold and Urine. They said they were sold out and there was nothing they could do. We left this “dump” and told the “manager” they really should not put anyone in this room. Numerous people went to the desk because had no towels, no blankets or the wrong was never cleaned or made while I waited. I have been to a hotel like this before much less a La Quinta. This is my first negative review. We checked into another hotel in downtown New Orleans. This place should Not be in business. I have seen the do not stay here reviews before but never herded the warning - I believe them now.

They cancelled my reservation once I got there because they were overbooked

The room smelled like musty body odor, half the room none of the plugs or lights worked, there were stains all over the carpet, and overall it was just disgusting. The only positive was the bed.

The staff was rude during check in. She was on the phone the entire time. Acted like i was an inconvenience. Told me the only room left was on the 3rd floor and the elevators are out is that fine. I said YES I suppose. When i left the next morning i saw rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor that didn't have occupancy the night before. The rooms were still made up. The room itself was dingy and not cleaned well. I was too tired after driving 11 hours to go find something else but in all my 30 years of traveling I've never been more disgusted by a hotel or service. I won't be back and would advice others not to either. A true waste of my money! I didn't take pics but wish i would have

Hotel was dirty. Poorly supplied. Run down. Had to run the shower for 15 minutes to get hot water. Housekeeping did not supply the room with towels, tissues, etc. properly. Requests to front desk to get same were met with “we don’t have any here” responses. Other than the first night check in staff , he was very friendly and professional, everyone seemed to have almost contempt for customers and requests.
Because of car issues, had to extend for one night and was lectured by the manager about if items were left in room after checkout time, they would be removed and held for pickup. Not even sure why that came up nor where that came from.
I am a frequent guest at LaQuintas around the country. This in no shape or form was equivalent to any I’ve been a guest at prior. In addition this hotel was more expensive than the other properties in downtown New Orleans and other suburbs. The hotel and staff ( other than the gentleman checking me in) are a disgrace to the service industry as a whole and to LaQuinta in particular.

I booked 2 nights stay online & was charged, but when I went to check in, the front desk lady told be she had given my room away because they ran out of rooms. She wasn’t even apologetic but just spoke matter of factly. I had to find another place to stay. I’M STILL WAITING FOR MY FULL REFUND FROM 1 WEEK AGO!!!

One of the filthiest places I’ve ever been. First room TV did not work, but was by far the worst problem, room smelled like urine , was filthy. I got another room bc of the TV. It was just as filthy, smelled like weed. There were Black and Mild wrappers all over the floor. It DEFINITELY had not been swept are mooped, couldn’t walk on the floor without your shoes. Pubic hair on the toilets, spilled sticky drinks all over the floor. The only thing they MAY have been done were they made the beds, I doubt they changed the sheets. If it had not been so late that I checked in and knew I was leaving early the next morning there’s no way I weighed have stayed here. The bathtub is also covered with hair. Not worth $20 much less $120. I have NEVER left a review on anything in my life. This place is so bad I had to warn people. DO NOT STAY HERE

No hot water. Had to trade dirty towels to get new ones but they ran out and didn’t tell us. We waited for new towels until eventually having to go all the way to the laundry room to get them ourselves. No housekeeping during our entire 4 night stay.

This is not a place to stay even if it's given free.
Nothing will be worse than this one period.

When we arrived to the room it looked fine. Then we started to see that it looked like it wasn’t swept. There were black spots on the sheets. There was only one set of towels for a double full room. It looked like there were cigarette burns and other stains on and in the tub, in a non smoking room. There seemed to be paint splatters everywhere on the floor and on the curtains. There was pen marks on the bathroom door. The lock to the room is broken and didn’t work at all.

Found bugs in the room, had to ask 4 times for a blanked as there was not one on one if the beds did not get blanked until last day there. Had to go to I hop for breakfast since the food was bad the first day and we did not want to go back. The pancake mix tasted rancid/bad, toaster was not working so we had a cold bagel, eggs tasted bad.
