Rooms were is horrible shape. Broken tiles in shower stall. Water was extremely hot, scalding from both sinks. You could see daylight around the door and the curtains were held up by zip ties. Property was not very clean or trash free. Several homeless people seemed to hang out on the main access road to the parking lots. Management was not friendly at check in. Too expensive for what is offered. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought it was an abandoned building.

The fridges were dated, the shower tile was cracked and broken, the sink handle was missing, the toilet lid was missing fasteners.

Unless your looking for the cheapest dirtiest hotel in Roanoke, so not stay here. Police were on site all weekend. Looks like place is getting ready to shutdown. First room I got had bugs everywhere and I turned light on. So I requested another room, no bugs but still terrible.

This was probably a great place 25 years ago but it looks sad and worn out. I asked where to find ice and the room where it was made me wonder if the ice would be safe to drink. On my by the ice/vending room on the second floor the machines were in pieces and look like they had been that way for months.

Check in took 25 minutes. No hair dryer. No coffee maker. Property needs a good clean and paint.

This property was dirty and in poor condition. Our comforter had cigarette burn holes and had stains all over it. Absolutely terrible.

Very old, no blanket for the bed- just a thin bedspread. Bathroom was in terrible condition, the door handle was broken, cabinet broken, very dark and dingy.

It was very clean it had no elevator so I had to drag a suitcase up stairs My first impression it desperately needed a complete renovation The outside decking needs to be painted The man at the desk had a tee shirt on with a hole in the middle The place was seedy

This is a 1 star hotel at best. We are very surprised that Wyndham would have this property associated with their name ... or that Hotels.com would include it in their repertoire. Room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it reeked of nicotine. I got deodarizer spray from housekeeper and sprayed the walls, floors, curtains ... everything. The room phone did not work. The ice machine was inoperable, and front desk gal told me to go down the street to Super 8 hotel (owned by same people) and use their ice machine!! The room lacked toilet paper, which I also got from housekeeper, and was full of flies. But the most disgusting thing of all, was that a pot of decomposed food was in the microwave -- covered by squirming maggots!!

I’ve stayed in a lot of cheap, dirty hotels but this one was particularly rough and run-down. I can forgive a big or two but there were *lots* of small roaches. The bedding was typical of dated, cheap hotels: some burn holes in comforter, thin blanket… The room smelled heavily of smoke. It’s the kind of place where people actually live.

In its day this was probably a wonderful place to stay and if it was cleaned up and a little tlc it could be ok. But when you have burn holes on your top cover and even your sheets and the smell of cigarettes in a nonsmoking room. The air conditioning and the hot water are the best I have seen in a motel but that is the only good thing I have to say about this place. They advertised a pool, and the pool is not open. With everywhere you go through anymore there are no work staff anywhere, and the ones there are probably very over worked. The manager put me in a room in the back of the motel on the second floor. I asked for something close to the front on the bottom floor and he said he had no rooms available but there was only a handful of guests or cars anyway that were dumb enough to book this motel. I would not have stayed if I had not booked a nonrefundable booking which no one should ever do. So please learn from my mistake and do not stay here.

I don’t even know where to start, i’m honestly glad i couldn’t check in because the outside looked scary and the staff were rude. there was dirty mattresses outside and the place looked soo rundown. i went inside to check in and they said i have to be 21 when online it said minimum check in age is 18. So glad hotels.com could get me my refund a week and a half after my vacation is over.

This place is disgusting!!! I was fooled by the good rating online. Mouse dropping all around the room. 30 minute check in and key wouldn’t work for the room so they had to move me to a different room. Then the super awesome guy with the loudest leaf blower known to man spent over an hour doing 3 passes of the parking lot at 8am!!! Over and over - leaf blowing what you just leaf blew!!!! I have videos if you’d care to see!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Horrible!!!

Absolutely disgusting!! First sign of trouble was when we pulled in to the property, there were no cars except 2 that were being worked on and had trash all around them from some people that were apparently living there, and there were many people there that looked very scary!!! Checked in anyway, got to the room, it was gross! Stains on bedding, sticky floor, smelled horrible, bugs everywhere!! We were gone within 5 minutes. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS PLACE!!

I was appalled by the conditions of this hotel: dirty, smelly, and in disrepair. I am surprised that Travelodge does not guarantee an acceptable minimum standard in their properties. The place seems to serve more as temporary housing for poor income families that have no option that to put up with the poor living conditions that the so-called hotel offers. Avoid it if you can.

I was there an hour, truly the most disgusting hotel room I had ever seen. Cigarette ashes were left on the bed, the white walls were brown, the shower looked like it hadn’t been touched and the floors were filthy.

Upon entering, floor stickie and dirty. Clothes hanging rod in closet gone. No trash can. Plastic fork jammed in sink. Coverplates misding from electrical outlets. One of two bath towels totally stained. Toilet paper holder broken. No tissues. Non-smoking room but pillow reeked of smoke. Bed was uncomfortable. By far the worst $100 room I have ever stayed in. Had it not been so late when I arrived, I would have gone to office to complain. Was only in the room for about 8 hours and maybe slept five. Had a ten hour drive next day and was certainly not well rested after that horrible stay. Kast time I stayed in a Travelodge was some 35 years ago and the room was overrun with ants. I caved on my never again pledge in Roanoke. That will not happen again. Thought Windham might have classed up the franchise and gave it another try. Won’t happen again.

I choose this location for the Wyndham name, location, price and recent positive ratings. Our room was in much need of repair; was documented as a non-smoking room, but reeked of smoke odor. Trash was everywhere outside and possible abandoned /wrecked vehicles. No towels were in the room, so I went to the front desk and realized that the night auditor had abandoned the motel; phone was ringing off the hook; and other guests came to check out with no one to assist them. I tried to find housekeeping and no one was there, but as I walked around realized there were several doors open to unmade rooms. An hour later when someone (uncombed hair and wrinkled clothes) finally came to the desk, I was given attitude for asking for towels. The icing on the cake of my stay was at check-out time; we were packing and ready to go when housekeeping came along and knocked on the door and told us that "we had to get out".

It was disgusting. Bathroom ceiling was crumbling down. Windows filthy, rusty fixtures, mattress very, very old. Wall behind toilet in need of serious attention. Will never stay there again…

Property looked deserted when we arrived. Trash and old mattress outside of first floor units. No one at check-in; waited for ten minutes and drove around whole place looking for someone. Whole place looked sketchy. When we called to ask for refund on our reservation, manager promptly billed us and refused a refund even when Expedia requested.

At some point in the middle of the night the ceiling started leaking water from the room above me. I woke up and half of the floor was soaked, all of my belongings were soaked. I went to the office to inform the manager and ask for a refund and another employee informed me that they had told the manager the day before that they needed to close off the room i was staying in because of the leak. I also did not receive a refund.

Did not feel safe in the area. Non smoking room smelled like smoke. Cigarette burns on the sink. Tv remote was missing back battery cover. Room had no carpet. Killed 2 bugs in the room.
