I've stayed at HOTEL NORTHAMPTON many times over the years and have always been happy with the choice. Having the very good and casual restaurant downstairs is a plus and the number of really fine restaurants in walking distance from the hotel is another plus. The people working at the hotel are intelligent and genuinely friendly.

A lovely historic hotel situated in the heart of Northampton with ample free parking. The room was very comfortable although the trim in and around the bathroom door needed to be painted. The only really negative part of our stay was that the coffee in the room was awful and the coffee in the lobby was only slightly better. Thankfully, Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters is just down the street.

Very clean but kind of cheap on things like soap--one bar for both the bath and the sink. Not enough plastic drink cups. Great looking Tavern but only open for brunch on Sun. Front desk very pleasant.

Solid, old style, well built hotel. Great location for visiting downtown Northampton & Smith College. Very quiet, comfortable with large rooms. A big favorite of mine.

They have a rule that sates you are not allowed to have alcoholic beverages in your room unless you buy it from the bar/restaurant on premise or you will be charged, possibly kicked out. This is completely non-sensical and for that reason, I won't ever be staying here again. On a positive note. The bartender at Wiggins, Cheri, was very pleasant.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Since it's a historic hotel, there were fewer electrical plugs to charge all of our gadgets. That wouldn't deter me from staying again, but something to be aware of depending upon your needs.

It’s a large old hotel that hasn’t quite caught up to the 21st century. My room had no place to plug in my devices and no available outlet.
The bed was comfortable the bathroom new but the room itself was tiny.

This is a very comfortable well-served hotel. However it has two restaurants. Wiggins Tavern which is excellent but closed much of the week. The Coolidge Cafe is simply awful, poorly prepared food and a limited menu. Breakfast so terrible I had to send it back.

We love location ,easy parking walking distance to college and downtown.
Beautiful Classic Hotel with history and all staffs are very friendly with warm hearts !
We will return in May for our daughter’s graduation!! See you then !

The Hotel lobby smells like old, I understand it is old but don't take a deep breath in there. There was personal trash left in the room from the previous guest, Not having the Tavern open is just a shameful waste of a gorgeous place.

The hotel is well located with an easy to access parking lot. My room was comfortable and clean with a great bed, nice linens and an outdoor balcony.

at time of placing our reservation, i needed a handicapped room. my reservation was two weeks early and gave plenty of time for that request to be filled.
the room was great, I had to have help getting off the toilet, I COULD NOT take a shower.
extremely disappointed they did not fill my early request. AND THIS IS NOW TWICE I was refused the needed room.

LOVED the hotel but I can't give it a 5 star because the mattress in the room was AWFUL. I didn't sleep a wink. However, the flowers were gorgeous and the hotel itself was very very clean and so fun to be at because of the authentic feel. Easy to park, walkable to all the stores and Smith College, and quiet.
