Very out dated. Hardly any food choices. No vending machines or way to get snacks in the evening. Everything they do have to offer (turkey sandwich or chips and gucamole in white boxes behind the lobby desk) is gross and way overpriced. They charge for wifi so forget a family friendly hotel (conveniently located next to a family friendly theme park Universal Studios). 30$ breakfast. 45$ parking. The prices are unreal!!! Took 3 days for any turn down service. 500$ charge for check outs after 11:30am. The hottub was gross. Pretty expensive due to their upcharging everything. Taking advantage of families coming for the theme park. Wont stay here again. Good if you have a business event but not worth the price with kids!

I had a handicap room on the 2nd floor. The pillowcases had an old smell as so did the bed. The room my daughter stayed in was room 217. She had a street view which she stated that she didnt care as she was in the room only 2 days that week. The staff was extremely pleasant, food there was costly. It would have been great if there was a shuttle to LAX, but completely understood the traffic.

The hotel is gorgeous and in a prime location. The hidden fees rack up fast once you’re at the hotel and you’re not told about any of them. Just beware and budget for about $100 more per day/night. Also my room wasn’t cleaned until I called at 3:00pm.

The hotel is nice and clean and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable about Universal Studios which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Also, please make sure you are aware of all the taxes, fees and LA County/City fees that are charged including a charge for housekeeping whether your room is serviced or not. Lastly, if you're thinking about ordering room service be prepared for $14 French Fries that were marginal at best.

Our room was updated and the room smelled like mold. Every time we turned off rhe AC the room smelled like wet carpet.

It was really clean, and the staff was friendly. My complaints are with the mattress. It was old and lumpy. That was the same issue with sofa bed, the mattress was also lumpy. You would think that at $400 per night you would get a better nught sleep.

Whenever in L.A., we stay here. It is a short distance to visit family, the valley, Hancock Park, the Hollywood Bowl, and the City Walk at Universal is a 5-minute walk where restaurants and shops are plentiful. We did request an ADA room for a family member. My only complaint is there was not a walk in shower, only bars to assist with getting in and out of the tub. A walk-in shower is much safer for an elder and it would be nice if the ADA rooms were updated.
The staff is wonderful. And the food in the restaurants are very good as well.

Even as a Hilton Honors member and checked-in through Hilton Honors APP, the room was not ready at published "Check-in" time at 4pm. I had to wait until after 5pm to receive my room.
The hotel knew my arrival time and could have easily assigned Housekeeping to clean the room in a prompt and timely manner.

The amount that is charged for parking is outrageous. For the amount that I spent on a one night stay, I shouldn’t have to spend another $45 to park my car. Other than that, the hotel and room was very clean. The room was comfortable and the staff I interacted with were incredibly kind and helpful.

The only slightly annoying thing was that you had to enter the wifi password again every day. But other than that minor point everything was perfect really.

Also, the beds are made with the cover so short I have to pull the bed apart just to have it high enough when I am lying down.

Everything was great! We stayed the night to enjoy the Cafe Sierra Lunar New Year buffet and entertainment. Then took the complimentary shuttle to CityWalk for a movie. Definitely coming back.

My husband and I came to Hilton In celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. The receptionist Linda M was able to accommodate all of our needs and more. We really appreciate her kindness and professionalism. She made us feel very special. We stayed at the deluxe King room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. We will definitely come back to Hilton Universal City next time when we’re in town. Thank you so much Linda and all of the staff who made our weekend extra memorable….

This hotel was amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was absolutely perfect. The Hilton really understands class! Our room was up to date, clean, and ever so comfortable. We had a refrigerator, microwave, and a safe, all essential for a secure and comfortable stay. And, let’s not forget about the water pressure. It was the strongest we’ve ever experienced at any hotel over 40+ years of traveling. Amazing!!! This is the hotel we all hope for when we travel. We were lucky to have found this absolute gem!

We really appreciated the close proximity to Universal Studios. We were able to enjoy Universal City atmosphere within walking distance the night before visiting the park. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and very comfortable!
