The hotel was dirty and smelly, the room was very tiny. The towels were placed on thre bottom of sink that had no shelf or cupboard - so it looks like its on the floor and breakfast was bread and butter and a pastry. no eggs or protein.

They must rent out the portion of the building directly below the room we stayed in since we were kept up all night with loud music people screaming and yelling. The rooms need some major renovations. For example the carpet was coming up and the bathroom sink was cracked and rusty. On a positive note the night staff did unlock the breakfast area to allow us to warm up some food.

Breakfast is not very good, no option

The pics on the website were nothing like what it really was. The guy behind the desk was fast asleep and we had to shout to wake him up. Ice machine didn’t work. Felt grubby in the room. Breakfast was white toast. That was it. Extremely disappointed. Felt I was overcharged for this experience. Tent city was across the street. Very scary. Night club that was under the hotel played loud banging music until 2 am.
Worst stay of my life.

Wyndham should not have been associated with this establishment. I expected Wyndham to uphold a certain standard. There is a night club on the 1st floor of the building and painted over mold/mildew in the bathroom. The floor felt sticky. The pictures were very well taken but it’s not true to scale.

Breakfast food choice was white or wheat bread. No cream or sugar for coffee

room was made up with no shower curtain or washcloths in the linen stack

Rooms need upgraded, been the same for years. But, they all of a sudden charge $200 deposit to your card for the outdated reused rooms. They don't accept cash, and you have to wait a few days for your money to go back on your card. This is a joke because, your payment was direct, and so should the return of it. They may be gaining interest % on your money while they hold it. Otherwise, they can send direct payments back to your card . They may need an AUDIT so they can get right. I also wonder if they give African Americans certain rooms only. Because it appears they do. All of the times I visit there, they give me the same 3 rooms, but the building has way more. Why haven't I seen any other rooms in so many visits?

Absolutely avoid stepping foot into this establishment. It's a true contender for the title of the worst hotel imaginable, deserving a grand total of zero stars. From the moment you enter, you're greeted with a time warp back to the 1980s, with facilities that seem to have been neglected since then. The staff, if you can even call them that, are a sorry sight with their unprofessional appearance and demeanor that screams incompetence. As for the parking situation, it's nothing short of a joke – a desolate area beside the hotel where cars are left vulnerable and unwatched, inviting theft and vandalism. And let's not forget the lovely company of homeless individuals loitering around the premises, adding a delightful touch of discomfort to your stay.
Now, let's talk about the price – a staggering $150 per night for what can only be described as a nightmare experience. Trust me; you'll be kicking yourself for spending that kind of money on such atrocious services. And for the love of all that's holy, do not subject your children to this horror show. The bathroom is a breeding ground for foul odors, with water that smells like it's been festering for decades and a fan that sounds like a chainsaw on steroids. Oh, and the floors? They creak and groan with every step, providing the soundtrack to your misery as you hear every little sound from the adjacent rooms.
But wait, there's more! Picture this: staff members shuffling around barefoot, as if hygiene and basic decency are mere a

Had 1pm late check out
Housekeeping started banging on my door at 10:45 every 15 minutes or so and walked in on me naked twice after screaming go away with do not disturb on door.
I finally opened the door and found 5 housekeepers outside the door so I walked outside naked and asked them if they wanted to take a picture instead of walking in on me trying to sleep.

Horrible place. The awful bathroom fan and the noise- I don’t recommend anyone staying here.
Oh and the complementary breakfast it’s true it’s only toast, coffee, and tea. What a joke.

When you pull up to the property, hopefully you'll be able to find parking in the very small spaces. Hopefully you won't have to walk past the bouncer at the sketchy unmarked, unsigned club that's either next door or built into the hotel with clouds of illegal drugs smoke billowing out. Hopefully when you do that with your kids in tow, You won't feel as endangered as I did. Please know that when you do experience some of these things and ask for a refund the hotel will not give you a refund. They will tell you to refer to orbitz. Orbitz says that the hotel will not give a refund, which is true. The operator will say to talk to Orbitz. So no refund means no refund. No matter how endangered you feel. I honestly don't feel like this hotel should ever be suggested to anybody, much less a family visiting with children. Shame on orbitz for suggesting it. Between the smell of the drugs and the advertisements in the ground floor of the hotel about prostitution, this place is a dive. I have never written a review like this before. I will be more careful when I book in the future.

Paid for this knowing I was getting what I paid for but when "breakfast" is included I was assuming it meant more than bread and packaged cinnamon rolls. No fruit or proteins. Just bread. Literally. Slices of bread.
The beds were fine, room was decently clean aside from leftover hair on the sink from a guest (shaved hair) and the shower ran hot
Dont recommend for families

When we came in Jassan the guy at the counter acted like we had inconvenienced his whole life. Jassan failed to mention how to get to our room what time breakfast was and any information normally given at a hotel. When I asked him a question about our stay he finally looked up and said ugh yes I know a king size bed. Which by the way it made my entire body hurt, that bed was so hard and lumpy it made my back, hips and knees hurt, my partner was feeling the same way.

Staff was very nice but hotel was dirty, uncomfortable, free breakfast was toast. Awful location and a lot of homeless around, checked out early because the bed was like sleeping on the floor. Staff was very friendly and understanding

Front desk person shows 0 interest with the guests, as if they show their face why did you book this hotel as such. This hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, their service is a joke. Hotels.com you must remove the option breakfast for this hotel. Location and parking is the only advantage to get around Hollywood rest are useless

Good price for this part of town but the clerk was very rude and not friendly at all

Poor facilities, horrible breakfast, non working ice vending machines, rude staff. Only good thing was that they accepted our request to move out early so the torcher stopped earlier than expected.

The Super 8 by Wyndham Hollywood/LA Area is located in a convenient area but the hotel was noisy due to a noisy club. In the Super 8 by Wyndham Hollywood/LA Area area there are a lot of tents...

If you need a rest for the day to get going the next, this is your place. Place made me nervous, homeless encampments and suspicious people surround this place. At least parking is free but I prayed for my car not to be stolen. Room was a bit small but the ac was working and there was hot water.

It's unfortunate, I normally don't do bad reviews but this stay was not good. Some positives: it wasn't far from universal studios, they allowed us to check in an hour early and we booked 3 rooms and they were all on the same floor. For the not so good: 1 out of the 3 rooms were "updated" but even that room was dirty, the TV was broken and kept glitching, 1 of the 3 rooms had an old stained mattress (we always check mattresses for sign of bed bugs) when we asked for a different room due to that and the fact that the bathroom door was not properly installed and you can see through it like a stall door, the lock didn't work and it had a terrible odor, the front clerk was unwilling to switch the room. The 3rd room was ok, not good but not bad like all the rooms not clean and had a stale odor.

Staircase felt like it was going to fall apart and so did the elevator

Front desk clerk was very nice and was knowledgeable of nearby features and conveniences. The facility has a small parking lot which was appreciated as well as was the Target catty-corner from the motel. Good options for quick meals within walking distance was nice too (e.g. Farmer’s Boy, Jersey Mike’s). A reasonably short drive to Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Bowl…15 minutes depending on traffic. It’s an older building, however, and it shows. But our room was clean.

Pictures are more than misleading. Hotel is falling apart and it is so dirty. There was gum and silly string on the walls. The bathtub was falling apart with holes and mold everywhere. The "complimentary breakfast" was white bread and coffee. Terrible place to stay.
