This place is a treasure! The rooms retain their olde world charm but modern conveniences are tastefully incorporated. The owners live on-site and they are wonderful hosts - attentive and friendly and very informative. We would absolutely recommend staying at The Lodge on Elizabeth.

Jeff was so helpful but felt it was overpriced. However, it was just days before Wooden Boat Race and Regatta and I did book last minute. Would stay again...but not at the price I paid.

Beautiful old hotel with quality classic furnishings and decor. Warm, comfortable and quiet with friendly, helpful owners and staff. A little historic garden oasis, right in the middle of all the busy restaurants and bars.

Well appointed rooms with nice facilities (but no view). Overall a very pleasant stay and will definitely stay again when next in Hobart.

Jeff the manager of the property was super kind and helpful, always looking foaward to make your stay better and comfortable. I well located for a quiet and relaxing stay but still close to restaurants and the main atractions for hobart. I will defenetelly come back

Everything from the room, the free available parking, location, facilities, Jeff’s explanation of Hobart and vicinity, the free port wine and the courtesy continental breakfast was perfect. Jeff at the property will make sure you will walk away smiling and satisfied after your holiday. We cannot thank Jeff enough for everything he and the staff will do behind the scenes to make sure you have everything you need before you ask for it. We are always staying here when in Hobart next.

Owner Jeff's personal touch is heart-warming. Attentive and caring, he sought a doctor when my throat felt sore, he read out a breakfast menu every morning and looked after our overall wellbeing. The furnishings, a few weeks short of Christmas, had an old-world charm and homey feeling, particularly in its lovely breakfast lounge. The quaint lodge exterior, stemming from the mid-19th century, was a major draw for us, well worth the uphill walk every evening as we came back from day-tripping. Thank you both, Jeff and Julie, for this special home away from home!

We loved this friendly cosy hotel just North of Hobart CBD. The hosts, Jeff and Julie, were welcoming and helpful. They made us feel at home and provided us with all the information we needed during our stay. The continental breakfast was generous and catered for a variety of dietary needs. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful heritage accommodation close to city centre and eateries.

This is a beautiful heritage house run as a B and B by a warm and hospitable couple. Our room was well equipped, parking was easy and convenient and lots of local information was available. Walking to the centre and to many restaurants in North Hobart was easy. The continental breakfast was excellent. We chose a “petite”double room which, with hindsight, was a mistake as it really was “tres petite” indeed!

Jeff and Julie were lovely hosts. The Lodge is a lovely establishment, without beautiful garden, lovely breakfast, good views of the city. Room 14 was quite spacious and had a very comfortable bed. We liked the location in which we had an easy time of finding dinner in N. Hobart, while being able to walk to a lot in the city. When we did have a car, arrangements for parking were quite easy over the weekend. For those who have a bit of trouble walking, the Lodge is a little further out than other establishments closer to the main streets near Salamanca Market and the Piers. To us, its accomdations were worth it.

Very good and pleaseful hosipitality! The house manager was warm,caring and helpful. One day we needed to go for Port Arthur early in the morning so we should have missed the breakfast time, but the manager checked with us the night before what breakfast items we liked and prepared them in good order so that we could enjoy them before we left for our journey on the day! Thanks.
