Great stay, clean room, excellent staff, great restaurant.

I really enjoyed my stay at the everglades hotel. Great staff,facilities and loved meeting a variety off different people

The people were great but the decor is a bit shabby. The ceiling and carpet of my room had stains and the basin was cracked. Also, as I told reception, the TV remote was filthy. I didn’t want to touch it! The dinner waitress was a delight - called everyone ‘my lovely’ or similar. And the chips were the best I’ve had in ages. The biggest problem was that reception recommended a taxi firm - Britannia - that badly let me down. I booked an 8am pickup the night before, and although I phoned them at 8:15, 8:30 and 8:45, the firm failed to find me a cab despite all their promises, so I had to cancel and book with another firm. This made me late for my appointment. In short, the hotel is OK but do not use Britannia Taxis!

Nice one night stay for business locally. I was late arriving so didn’t eat at the restaurant, and I didn’t get chance to have breakfast either. The room was spacious and clean, nice touches like biccies and a posh coffee machine. Comfy bed and nice & quiet apart from my next door neighbour coughing loudly nearly all night !

Upon arrival our room was messy and hadn’t been serviced, but the staff quickly dealt with this and provided us another room to stay in. The cleanliness of the bathroom wasn’t the best, but the rooms were nice and comfortable!

I stayed here for 1 night and I made a teeny error which they were very helpful with. The weekend I stayed there was a party so allocating me to a room where everyone passes wasnt nice. Ideally they should have put the party guests near the event and me as far away as poss. Breakfast was so so. The staff are absolutely fab and really accommodating.

Currently on the road and booked this hotel for a good night sleep and a bath! It didn't disappoint, huge bed and huge TV to go with it. Will stay again when I get the chance. A pleasant surprise hidden in-between Widnes and Warrington The lady who checked us in was charming and professional making me chuckle on arrival! (not sure of her name - Thurs @1900)

Overall it was a good stay but it could do with a lick of paint and a good refurbishment

Lovely little hotel, staff were very kind and professional. Bed was comfy and place overall was clean.

Staff very helpful and friendly

The bed was solid hard and think may have been broken as it was like sleeping with my feet higher than my head. TV remote was broken so had to get out of bed to change channels and turn off. When someone flushed the toilet in a neighbouring room it made a horrendous whinning noise. Looks lovely from outside but a bit dated inside and not a very good stay overall!! Definitely wouldn't stay here again!

We stayed here during creamfields weekend was an excellent stay and just what was needed.

Average property. Good location for what we needed it for. In need of some refurbishment as rooms are looking very tired. Poor decor in rooms, mould in bathroom and to top it off, calls and voicemails from staff after checking out alleging that we had an outstanding breakfast bill of £24 when this was paid when we checked in!! Not sure if we will be back...

Another enjoyable stay at the Everglades. Staff as always super friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast both very good, enjoyed each meal. Waiter on Thursday evening was extremely busy but still provided an excellent service as he always does. Room clean, however bathroom in my room was a little tired some black mold on tiles. Duvet was winter weight so I did have to take it out of the duvet cover and use the duvet cover as a blanket. Regardless, we did have lovely stay at the Everglades and will return. Thanks

Room was absolutely filthy! Carpet had stains all over with some that looked like blood! The bedside lamps were thick with dust and dirt and one had a chip in it. The vanity unit had a nicotine patch stuck on the side obviously from a previous guest! The bathroom door had black marks all over it! The list is endless

The staff are excellent and can not do enough for you, especially the gentleman that served us at breakfast. Thank you, we will be back.

Very dated and bed uncomfortable

Just stayed for one night,facilities were good in the room,very clean, restaurant was good & the lounge bar area was pleasant enough, plenty parking. I would stay again. Breakfast was excellent by the way.

Room was good size but furniture was tired with broken drawers, breakfast was average for the price, the bar was very expensive. We were given a bill breakfasts for the day before we booked in ???

Lovely stay, Friendly staff

Travelling for work and the location was good for that. Friendly staff when checking in, easy booking. Room looked tired and could do with a refresh. Comfortable bed but must have been near the cleaning room as banging of doors and people talking from 06.30a.m. I’ve marked cleanliness down a bit (not normally fussy) didn’t make a coffee in room as cups were ditched, I cleaned the toilet with the brush provided before use!

What makes this hotel is the staff who are really very good especially in the restaurant where they are excellent, very professional, friendly and kind. The room was ok, I've had better but I've also had worse. Definitely could do with an update, the bathroom smelled a bit damp but it was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Quiet. Restaurant very dated. Needs a makeover. Food was average, breakfast better but very limited fresh fruit options. The room was warm and so was the restaurant despite reviews saying otherwise. I was disappointed to find when I got back to my room after the first nights stay it had not been serviced so no clean towels tea & coffee etc. On check out I mentioned this and was told they only service the room every 3 days unless its requested but the cost of the room is the same for both nights. Also I should have been told on check in. Overall satisfactory, brought up by the staff, I'd probably stay again

Overall standard of hotel was good. But disappointed with room I had. I paid for a double plus room and I felt it was basic and not of great standard very tired looking. Bed was king size but was it comfortable I’d say no.
