Having stayed at the Hummingbird Inn 5 years ago, we decided to stay again on our recent visit. We were not disappointed! The property is undergoing a renewal that is wonderful. The check-in area is beautiful and our host was wonderful. We were assigned to one of the bungalows. WOW. It was very new and modern. We loved the décor and the functionality as well. Very comfortable bed as well. We will most definitely look forward to another visit hopefully in less than another 5 years.

Walls are paper thin and we could hear the people above us walking around all night. It sounded like a waterfall was in our room any time they used their sink or shower. Our patio was connected to the room next to us which was also odd. Would not stay here again.

Nice renovations

Currently having some renovations done. Room was large, comfy bed. Quiet. Seems like a nice place.

Dining a short drive away. I was surprised there was no in room coffee but at least you had a microwave n little fridge. Bathroom and vanity had very little space to place items like toiletries.

We had a real good time staying at this place as it was so close to downtown. Everything was at a walkable distance. The receptionist at the front desk were very very friendly and helpful.

Some of the rooms were being renovated., so there were work crews and a dumpster in the driveway. However, it didn't effect our stay in any way. The staff was top notch. Polite and extremely helpful.

Hotel is well-located. It is currently undergoing renovation/upgrading, we were impacted only peripherally by the construction. The main challenge: This place is long in the tooth and is thus overpriced for the condition it's in.

I very much rely on personal reviews so want to be honest and straightforward with mine, in an effort to inform. I was assigned room #23 (king bed) and immediately asked to be changed but I was told they were fully-booked and it was the only room available. I didn't really believe that but didn't want to spoil my Ojai energy with push-back. I booked about a month prior so it wasn't as if I was last-minute, showing up for any availability. The hotel is being gently updated (much needed) and the common area improvements were underway when I arrived. The room wasn't ready and I was told that this room #23 was being used as "the office" during their remodel until just before I arrived. The room was spacious and clean, but located right next to the common area so the noise was significant. I heard every arrival, folks chatting as they checked in, and heard the bustling of housekeeping cleaning that area and getting organized in the early morning. If you are looking for a room with a king bed and want some peacefulness, I suggest you specify that room #23 not be assigned to you. Town is about a half mile away - a walk, not a stroll - a portion of which does not have a sidewalk and is not well-lit at night. It was easy and felt safe, just FYI for those with accessibility concerns.

This was a fantastic stay. It's a no-frills, basic inn - in the best way; quiet, clean, quaint vibe near town. Would definitely stay here again!

Enen the road from the hotel to the downtown is not so good for walking; it is just a few minutes driving. Good location.

I think this place is a converted old school motel 6 or something of that ilk. As such it's under insulated under sound proofed. Clean, basic rooms but noisy construction next door, noisy neighbors, noisy fridge and a/c unit made for a sleepless stay. The ladies at the reception were wonderful.

The property is very clean inside & out. The construction outside did not affect our stay. The room was large, with a microwave, refrigerator and plenty of counter space. 2 minutes from the golf course!

Small quaint... not enough parking, construction going on in parking area.

Mattresses and pillows were great. Very comfortable rooms. Good toilet paper. Nice pool with towels. Parking isn’t great, but it’s a nice property over all.

Cute hidden gem in Ojai! Super clean and the pool was the best for a cool down after a walk through town. Just a little shower issue but was still able to shower comfortably! Would love to go back soon!
