Unfortunately, this turned out to be part of a trip that went south. The hotel was older, but in good shape. The outside doors are not a plus for us. It did have a great restaurant bar next door and the amenities were actually ok, but the area around it really didn't have much to do due to the hurricane 1.5 years ago. They are really slow to rebuild the area.

This hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly. It was well situated to restaurants and shops I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Beautiful property. Well maintained and great location. Even with the hurricane damage in the area, this gem was taken care of and updated. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This place was a gem of a pick for staying with 2 girlfiriends for a short girls' trip. It's in a perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere: the beach, the restaurants, the marketplace near the pier. The hotel staff was terrific: very friendly and helpful. The hotel also has it's own restaurant which is attached and has seating at two levels next to the canal. It's fun to watch the boat traffic on the canal going under the main bridge to the island. We also had free parking in front of the hotel and because of the central location, we never moved our car. Finding parking in the area is difficult and expensive so having your own parking space right next to the hotel was a big plus. We were delighted with our room. It had a kitchen and enough room tor the 3 of us to be comfortable. We had so much fun!!!We will be back!!!!

Very noisy!

The staff was super friendly, the hot tub was hot just like they said and we had a cute little villa to ourselves. Location was easy to walk to food and beaches. We were just passing thru so only stayed 1 night.

Disappointing Stay at Matanzas Inn My recent visit to Matanzas Inn was quite disheartening. Right from the start, my room was plagued with an unpleasant odor that made it difficult to relax. This issue alone significantly impacted my comfort during the stay. Moreover, the Hotel Office area was filled with a strong cigarette smell, which was quite bothersome, especially for non-smokers like myself. This made any time spent in the office area rather unpleasant. A notable inconvenience was the lack of proper curtains in the room. The existing blinds failed to block out the light effectively, resulting in a brightly lit room at night and disrupting my sleep. What truly astounded me was the lack of basic amenities like room service. Being informed that we had to request essentials like towels or toilet paper ourselves was quite surprising and, frankly, unacceptable for a hospitality establishment. This lack of service was not only inconvenient but also a clear indicator of poor customer care. In summary, the quality of the services and facilities at Matanzas Inn does not justify the price. The combination of these issues made my stay far from enjoyable, and it's safe to say that the inn falls short of basic hospitality standards.

Great central location. Staff in office very friendly and helpful.

The staff is incredible nice and efficient, the property is super clean and beautifully maintained. Unfortunately the weekend I spent there was cold and cloudy but the hot tub and warm pool came to the rescue. I did receive the vouchers for the free drinks and they were fantastic. In fact, the food, drinks and the view of the bay from the bar are reasons to not even leave the hotel. The beach and the few restaurants and shops that are open are just a few steps away from the hotel. Loved my stay and my only complaint was that I wish I had stayed longer.

Since this was our first time to stay following the hurricane, we didn’t know exactly what to expect. Thankfully, the Inn was operating smoothly and we had no issues. There was and will be continuing construction in the area, but for our purposes prior to departing on the Key West Express, we were quite pleased.👌😎

Wonderful location, quiet area near to all the bars, restaurants and beach. Definitely would stay again!

The cottages at Matanzas was a nice stay, convenient, though quite a bit of road noise from bridge.

Dec. 2023. We stayed in their cottage. It’s like a home away from home. Very comfortable. Will stay again.

The area is absolutely lovely and it’s a short walk to the beach! The rooms were clean and cozy but the entertainment on the upper deck could be heard from our rooms and was a little much.

Hotel has a small, big quaint pool field and Jacuzzi all redone since the hurricane in September 2022. So everything is new and redone.

The place was great! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The pool is perfect, the restaurant has great food, drinks and views of the waterfront. Would have loved to stay even longer and look forward to planning a trip back soon!

Great Hotel for our holiday

Amazing stay! We felt so comfortable here. Away from all the noise, but still walking distance to fun if desired. The room was so clean, beds were so comfortable, and staff was incredibly nice. Will visit again!

Matanza’s is a Ft Myers legacy. It’s exactly what you expect. Old school, right in the thick of things, great pool… Phenomenal restaurant too. Walk to everything or we’ve gotten picked up on the boat as well. My family LIVES in Ft Myers so we stay with them…but we always end up sneaking off to Matanza’s for a breather😂. Nice Place. We like it.

While staying at this property Hurricane Ian was a distant memory. We will be staying there again.

Extremely friendly staff. Great memories there before Ian (Restaurant and Grill), temporary lost home on island so decided to stay here to support local islanders. Hope our place returns soon but will come back if necessary.

Just an overnight stay. Honestly the best service I’ve ever had at any hotel. Fast friendly service. Front desk called me in the morning to ask me what time to expect me and to let me know my room was ready. Nice, clean and comfortable place - close to everything.

Once again the hotel was fantastic! We already booked for next year .

Hidden gem! We love Ft Myers beach and had never stayed at the Inn. They had availability for a last minute weekend away with friends. The new rooms are so nice, clean and perfect for what we wanted. Patti, Penny and Jeff were so friendly and accommodating. We will be back soon!
