The room was very clean and comfortable. But if you stay there housekeeping only cleans the room or supplies you with towels, clean sheets etc every three days or you need to request if you want it done sooner.

The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable and the front desk gave us pillows when we asked for additional ones. The flooring was odd, vinyl plank floor in most of the room made things louder. The shower had several areas that looked like mildew around the edge. The cockroach crawling up the shower curtain was quite a surprise. The front desk staff seemed nice. There was a housekeeping person that completely blocked access between the elevators and front doors with a cart the first morning we were there and forced us and some other guests to have to go out the side doors and walk around. The next morning she nearly blocked off the door to our room and just stared when we said "excuse us". We had to squeeze around her cart to get in our room. I guess she expected us to stand there and wait til she was ready to move.

Property under renovation. Very early work schedule, inconvenient noise level , no warning prior to booking ( should offer a rebate or voucher for future stay in Balstrop.

The bathroom tub was rusted, as well as the bathroom door. Ceiling had water damage . We were not told that the pool was closed or that the hotel was under construction when we made reservations. The ice machines did not work so we had to go through the desk to get ice. We were very disappointed.

The property was clearly just renovated and very clean, the beds new, enough towels. Breakfast was very basic and the staff inattentive, but we got lucky at check in and the gal was very polite and prompt. Check out was really awkward as the staff was chit chatting over a video on their phone so we waited.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and walking distance from Walmart and restaurants. The breakfast menu was a bit limited but it tasted good.

This location is beautiful and has a friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious. The workers coining in and out to renovate the property were clean, quiet, and courteous. A mistake was made, and I got an old, tired room on the first floor that isn’t renovated yet. Had I been advised of the condition of the room and directed to a new room on a higher floor, I would have seen the gorgeous room redesigns that match the new lobby and cafe. This property is making some wonderful upgrades. I’ll be back to see them when I’m in Bastrop!

Our room had both a broken deadbolt and broken latch, so the door was not secure overnight. The property is under renovations but we didn’t know that until check-in. Ok overnight stay, but I wouldn’t book here again.

The room smelled like a dog and furniture was worn out (sofa cushions were torn). That being said they were involved in updating at this time so may be better in the future.
