The welcome at reception on arrival was warm and wonderful; a comp bottle of delicious red wine was delivered within minutes of entering the room. This was lovely and spacious, super-clean with excellent facilities. Breakfast is a treat and the spa tip-top - we had excellent massage treatments. The team here is really excellent - just shows what good training achieves for customers. All in all very good all round. We'll be back!

Excellent hotel great breakfast , spotlessly clean , big spacious room and balcony overlooking the water . First class staff who went above and beyond and sent Prosecco and cake to our room for my birthday

Overall we had a good stay but would not class this is as a 5* hotel. Pros: - Very polite and helpful staff at reception. They went out of their way to sort any issues which were within their control. - Clean and modern. - Good location; you can walk to all the sights in Olhao. - Decent breakfast, including omlettes made to order. - Nice touches, such as a bottle of champagne and brownies as it was my birthday! Thank you for this :) Cons: - Room lacked amenities which would be expected in a 5* hotel (e.g. no face towels, limited toiletries and no bathrobe and slippers). - Spa was disappointing and had some odd rules. Rude staff and tried to charge extra for use of all facilities (which was not specified at the time of booking). - Outside pool was full of seagulls, which is unhygienic. - We felt rushed out at breakfast, e.g. staff trying to clear up before we had finished. We feel a 4* rating would be fair and would set expectations more appropriately for guests. Also, hotel should specify which spa facilities are available and which are subject to extra charges at the time of booking.

The hotel is nice, and the staff very friendly. Saying that, this isn't a 5-star hotel, more like a 4-star! The room is a decent size, but without much comfort, also the beds are very uncomfortable, especially as they use this ugly waterproof mattress cover (horrible) that keeps creasing and keeps you extra warm! The breakfast was ok, but not up to 5-star standards!

Liked breakfast a lot with real eggs. I would change the nespresso chemical coffee for real coffee.

From check in to departure the staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. A little tired in places but did not distract from the stay. It was our wedding anniversary and we had complimentary fizz and sweet truffles, which was a lovely and greatly appreciated. What a gem Olhao turned out to be. So many restaurants and bars to choose from, very impressed.

This hotel was truly amazing. Great location, wonderful views, fantastic breakfast, clean, comfortable. The free and convenient parking was a bonus. If I could fault anything it would be the size of the outside pool which is not big enough especially on sunny days. Otherwise ticks our boxes!

The aircondition is on all the time - but one day the room was extremely warm. The fridge is not cold (about 15 degrees) Very friendly and helpful staff

The property was immaculate, the mattress is comfortable, and the pillows just right. We could walk to the old town and the fisherman’s district. I would stay here again.

Lovely modern hotel, conveniently located for the town and beach.

The hotel was ok, bedrooms are spacious and breakfast is good. I really wanted to use the hot tube, but it was so cold! I thought, maybe they had just turned it on, but it wasn’t the case.

Everything went very well. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. The Portuguese language and the live music events were the highlights

I was only there for one night for business, but it was an excellent stay all around. Seevice was great and the room was luxurious and comfortable.

Lovely stay had to wait a wee while to check in. Rooms were nice not sure if I would say they were 5 star but were comfortable and the view was lovely overlooking the marina, Breakfast was nice lovely choice and very attentive staff. Would stay again.

Hotel pretty good but I was surprised to be asked to pay for the coffee in my room after the first day

The hotel is quite nice, with several spaces for relaxation. The rooms are big enough ,and the noise is minimal. The breakfast buffet was good, enough parking in front, nice pool with patio equipped with many long chairs ansparasols. The only down was the bed which was due to be replaced. It looks a bit ''oldish''and should be a little revamped.

From arrival to departure,we were met by welcoming and efficient staff making us feel valued guests. Our allocated room was amazing not only for outlook but size and amenities. Breakfast was particularly good with huge variety meeting all needs.

Got in after midnight just wanted to take a bath and go to bed. Tub dirty. Carpet dirty. I couldn’t get the heat to turn on. Are usually stay at another hotel- sorry I didn’t. Staff were nice. Breakfast was good. Not a 5 star hotel so it was disappointing.

Fantastic suite and hotel amenities. Eat in town and not at the hotel. The Real Restaurant is a major tourist trap with mediocre food. They actually represented their marinated sardine appetizer as fresh and a traditional dish of Portugal, but they had the nerve to serve canned sardines still in the can! Insulting and shady.

Cleanliness of the hotel is very good. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Facilities are overall very good, the gym could have a few extra bit for people who use weights rather than cardio/ machines. The biggest let down was the breakfast, there wasn't a huge choice and it was very basic choices. Also the cooked breakfast options were quite honestly shocking, the standard of the cooked breakfast such as, hash browns, eggs, bacon, etc... was lower than nearly every 4 star hotel I have stayed at before this one. Being a 5 star hotel I was expecting big things from the breakfast but was very let down. If I stayed here again I would avoid the breakfast.

This hotel is NOT 5 star! At best it is 4 star. I preordered a bottle of champagne to be placed in the room for our arrival to celebrate a wedding anniversary. I had to pay for this as soon as I arrived and could not put it onto my room to settle at the end of my stay. On arrival at our room the champagne was not there. Another visit to reception was made to be told by one member of staff that it had been placed in the room while another said they would fetch it!! Complimentary water and coffee in the rooms were only for the first night, additional water was charged at €3 per bottle. A charge of €10 was levied for the use of the sauna & steam room. The attached showers were dirty with every cubicle having human hair covering the drains. Clearly not checked on a regular basis. A complaint resulted in waiving the fee. Certainly not expected of a ‘5 star’ hotel. Very disappointing visit.
