The sheets smelled horrible and the couch in our suite had stains all on it. The door to the bathroom was broken and the shower faucet looked like it had never been cleaned before. You can hear everything happening in other rooms.

We had stayed at this property 2 years prior for the same reason, visiting family in near by town for Christmas. The property at that time was great and we had a lovely stay. This time was awful and we checked out early on Christmas eve because it was so bad and check into another hotel for the remainer of our stay. To start with, at check in we announced ourselves at the counter only to find out the clerk was sitting on the couch watching tv and playing on their computer. After finishing what they were doing, decided to check us in. We needed additional bedding for the pullout couch for my son, they did not have pillows or blankets. We borrowed bedding family the next day. The room was dirty with smudges on the walls, the sheets on the king bed were stained, the sofa cushions were stained, the toilet seat was not attached and my husband had to attach it, the bathtub/shower had grime and hairs. We asked front desk for a stopper for tub since ours was missing and our son needed to take a bath, front desk informed us that they had not time to have it replaced but it would be replaced by the next time we decide to stay at the hotel again. By the second night we had roaches in bathroom. One across the counter and another by the toilet. We promptly checked out early in the morning, Christmas eve morning I remind you, to stay somewhere.

The room was okay but the mildew I found in bathroom and the water damage on the ceiling was gross. The bath water is stained not clear and the staff was rude.

The hotel looks very neat from the outside. It’s convenient to dining/shopping. Parking was ample. The lobby area was basic. Check-in went smoothly. Once on the floor it was apparent how badly it needed refurbishing. Hallway carpet was worn. The walls were scraped up. The room was very basic. It did have a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker however there were no cups. The room appeared to be clean but the towels and sheets were thin and worn. The sheets were really wrinkled and did not fit the bed well. Despite being clean, this just gives it the “ick” factor in my opinion. The water pressure in the shower was minimal. I did like that it had wall dispensers for soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner instead of those little sample sizes however, there were 2 bottles of lotion at the sink so you had to get soap from the shower to wash your hands. I also liked that the floor in the room was laminate (?) and not carpet. The A/C cooled well. I can’t personally rate the breakfast area as my husband just went down for coffee. He did say it was pretty basic with hot and cold options. I asked him to bring me a cup of hot water to make tea but he said there was only coffee options at the bar. Check-out was easy and the lady working was very pleasant. I wish I had gotten her name because she was one of the very few bright spots at this hotel. Overall, this place is more like a $99 special. Definitely not worth the inflated price for a football weekend! Its 30-45 min from LSU.

This place was so scary in the room. Dingy, dirty bath tub, doors wouldn’t shut all the way. No soap in shower dispenser. No snacks or even water to buy.

Good: The employees were friendly and helpful. Not so good: 1. The floors throughout the building, including in my room, were not clean. The hallways were dirty while my room floor was slick with something. 2. The breakfast was mediocre. The coffee was fine, but my croissant was stale, the sausage was neither crispy nor warm, and there was no fruit. 3. The interior is in need of a refresh. The walls and doors are scraped up and the thermostat on the wall didn't work and had holes in it (though the A/C unit had a working thermostat).

Seems like theyve been renovating forever stayed here a while back and they still arent done.. room was very humid n moist due to air conditioning changed rooms and it was the same...not horrible but not very comfortable either just... meh

Of course they are in the middle of renovations but, the floors have a slimy film on them, the smell when you first walk in was like they poured a whole bunch of chemicals to hide a vomit smell, the chair in the room we stayed in had stains all Over it, there were little roaches in our room, great area, and there wasn't much of a breakfast.

Very dirty, property has went down on cleanliness since our last stay here. Almost no water pressure in shower on 2nd floor. They definitely need to clean inside all over elevator and along doors and floors of elevator. Instead of spraying air freshener all around clean a little…

Undergoing renovation so I can cut them some slack, but the 1st room they put me in had no refrigerator, the 2nd room had no lights. The place, even with the renovation, is run down. Shame on me for not picking one of the other properties in the complex.

the room was filthy and the smoke alarm had been ripped off of the wall! the sheets were so old that they were frayed. overall the worst hotel experience of my life.

The hotel was clean-ish overall except the room floor was sticky and dirty. It was a "smoking free" hotel yet the employees were always smoking right in front of the entrance. Breakfast was edible except for the eggs. Will not be staying at this hotel again.

Do not stay at this hotel! When we first walked in the room, we saw a small roach crawling behind the dresser. We tried to brush it off but quickly noticed the room was not clean. The lounge chair had some mystery white staining all over. The coverlet on the bed was visibly dirty. We arrived late at night and figured we could get a few hours of sleep and leave ASAP. When we woke up the next morning, we continued to see multiple roaches crawling on the walls and floor. I let the lady at the front desk know and she seemed underwhelmed and did not even offer an apology. I never write reviews but I felt like this should be noted. Very upset and will never return.

Maria is the best…She always go above & beyond to make sure I’m completely satisfied with my room…Her welcome is very warming & she always have a smile.

The property was easy to get to from the interstate. The shower was broken, only a trickle of water from it. When management was told we got oh I’m so sorry, nothing else. Stay here was very disappointing and I would not recommend the property.

This property is disgusting. Dirty towels in the halls, old torn worn out filthy carpet in the hall, super dilapidated sleeper sofa in the presidential suite, No decor whatsoever. Not worth the $117 rate we paid. Do yourself a favor and do not book here. This review has nothing to do with any current renovations taking place, and where were those ? Only good thing was the AC worked .

Great area and great staff

We are a family of four and stayed here for 2 nights. There was not much of any service as the employees that we witnessed were often out front on smoke breaks or on their cell phones. The room we stayed in had carpet that looked as if it had not been cleaned for a while because it was full of animal hair and we do not own an animal. We had to keep our shoes on because the floor was turning our feet and socks black. There were a few big roaches in the restroom and the pool was filled with bugs. We couldn’t clean the pool because the tools they had were broken. I do not feel like the price was adequate for what we experienced.

When i arrived it took 30mins for me to get checked in. The gentleman who assist me had patience. But the following morning i was awaken with a knock on the door to figure out how i ended up in this room. But the lady was extremely nice and pleasant. I was suppose to have a refrigerator, we didn't, Also the air-conditioning kept making a very loud noise.

I’ll preface these comments by saying the property was under construction with room renovations. We did not know this until we booked the room. This situation did not bother us and we understand and appreciate the upgrades. One day soon, it will be an outstanding property. My negative comments and our overall experience pertain to the check in employee. Our interaction was unpleasant in every way. First, she sent us to a 2nd floor room that was under construction and unusable. When we returned to the front desk, she acted grumpy and uninterested. We received this same attitude from her with every question we asked. Once we settled into a different 3rd floor room, things were very nice. On the plus side, the hospitality lady was super friendly and professional. Also, the lady working with the 2nd floor contractors was amazing and assisted us getting relocated to the 3rd floor. We spoke with the property owner and he was friendly and apologetic. Again, we have no problem with upgrade improvements but we cannot excuse employees with poor people skills.

Hotel is under construction, this should be disclosed in the booking. The construction workers work until 8:00 to 10:00. Do not get room 211!

My son laid down to go to sleep and the mattress had a wet spot that smelled like urine in it. He ended up having to sleep in the other bed with me. He’s 17 and 6’3” so it was quite inconvenient. Also desk staff when we initially tried to check in at 11:30am were rude and had to ring the bell multiple times before anyone showed up It took 15 minutes before anyone showed up and then the little woman was very curt and acted like we were putting her out by asking to check in. When we were finally able to check in later that night after our event, the young desk manager was very pleasant though.
