My stay for a lacrosse tournament with my son. The hotel was nice and clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Their was no continental breakfast included which is usually included at most hotels. The biggest drawback to this hotel is its location. There is 2 sets of railroads behind it, there are trains going by at all times. They do provided ear plugs and a white noise machine, but it is still an annoyance. Also with the trains it can take some time to get anywhere in town being where the hotel is located. There was also lots of streets blocked off which made it difficult to get in and out of the hotel.

Overall staying was fine. The only criticism will be that the shower curtain was torn and the window coverings need some work . Other than that everything else was good.

Hotel next to River and train tracks which we didn’t mind. No breakfast served and only option is really Moxies with limited menu. Underground and surface parking.

My overall experience was good. Checking in was efficient.
I chose city view so vibrating from train during the night shook the building, woke me up. Room was super clean. Bed was comfy. Lots of plugs/usb outlet for work purpose. Nice touch with check in follow up call.
My only suggestion would be to move the cabinet holding the fridge & microwave to the far end by window so entrance to bed is more open. It was tight with cabinet right by entrance to room/bathroom.

The proximity to the train meant I was up all night as it passes through almost non stop.

Interesting check in with a police incident going down. The room was upgraded to a view of the river which was nice - but the room wasn’t so nice. Window was very dirty but I do know it’s that time of year. The room had so many things needing some TLC and fixing, it was a bit run down for a Signature room. Not super clean either. Front desk was helpful.

My stay was excellent. The room was a great size for a business trip and the staff was very helpful. I really enjoyed the location and was able to take advantage of the riverfront walking path that the front desk staff suggested.

Stayed for one night as I passed through town. Staff was friendly and facilities were clean. A bonus that two restaurants were attached to this hotel.

Paid for a jacuzzi room, tried the tub and only half the jets work, the pillows were covered in someone’s make up from a previous stay.
Was put in a room 1 step above and the sink in the bathroom was plugged full of hair.

Unfortunately I stayed during a cold snap. The second night I was awoke to a fire alarm at 1 am (not placing blame as this is out of anyone’s control). That following morning I along with everyone else woke to no water. 2 pipes had froze and burst. Again out of anyone’s control. Having to attend appointments I was unable to shower or properly get ready for the day. The 2 on site restaurants were excellent. Food was great and staff friendly. It was a very clean facility with a convenient location. The train tracks are VERY close, however the noise was hardly noticed, and earplugs were provided if bothered by it!

It was a bit brutal. 1/2 the hotel was literally along a the busiest train line in western Canada. The alarm at the train stops kept going off and forever. The building is relatively new & nice but we paid 230$ which was way more than any other hotel in town… when we discovered how bad the train noise was they said there was white noise units in the room, which was like having a super loud humidifier in the room and didn’t cut out the train noise that much. The tv remote barely worked… the hot tub jets didn’t work and even the clock at the pool wasn’t working… overall the hotel looked the part but I have stayed in dumps and got a better sleep. Staff were very very nice to be clear. We asked for room to be switched to the opposite side but they said they were all taken.

I did not like the city view room due to the non stop train traffic that is easily heard in your room. My next stay will be on opposite side of hotel to reduce this very loud and dististurbing non stop noise.

I was accommodated with an early check in when I arrived which was nice. However i didnt receive a $15 food and beverage coupon which was supposed to be included. Also obvious that a deep clean hadnt been done in a long time. As well as a fowl smell coming from the plumping. We had to run a lot of hot water to make it bearable. Overall thinking of staying elsewhere for our next trip.

Nice comfortable room, the bedding was very nice as well which I find to be one of the most welcoming parts of booking in at a Sandman Signature property. They always have a very nice luxury waiting area great for a few pictures for a nice night out. Breakfast options were good with affordable to room options. Plenty of covered and open parking.

Was given a complimentary upgrade to a nicer room and higher floor (quiet area of the hotel). Not sure what the non-quiet area would have been like but the trains at 8 pm and throughout the rest of the evening were crazy. The 8 pm train literally shook the room. The rumbling and vibrations lasted about 10 minutes - ridiculous. This happened like clock work both nights. For the money I paid, I wanted to sleep without these interruptions.
Poor selection of complimentary soaps and washes, bathroom fan and baseboards were run down - did not enjoy my stay.

Great location for being near downtown shops and food. If you're coming for a fun weekend with friends, like we were, it was great. Very comfortable bed. Staff were great. Parking was great. They have locked entrances so homeless population won't be coming in. It is downtown, so there is a homeless population if you're waking about. Also, it means there are unseemly areas nearby, like empty lots or oil spills, etc.
The hottub was awesome. The deck needed a thorough clean as some bottles that were under chairs didn't get cleaned up.
I am a light sleeper with light, so I wouldn't stay here in the summer time as the window shades do not keep the light out in the morning.
We loved our stay, it felt so luxurious and friendly staff. We will be coming back for sure.
