Overall, for the price and the fact that it is a motel, this place wasn't awful. The room was shabby but clean. For us, the beds were the worst part. They were very uncomfortable. I would bring a mattress topper or skip staying here if you have back problems. The pool was fun and clean. Staff were nice. I asked for more pillows, and they accommodated quickly. There are tons of amazing places to eat within a 15 min drive. The housekeeping staff that came in the room while we were out didn't clean anything and just pulled the comforter back up on the bed without actually making the bed. To this fact though, we would be fine if they didn't come in and clean until we left so this wasn't a big deal for us. Would consider staying again if they updated their mattresses.

Booked for a birthday weekend in Lake George.. Ended up being woken at 3am by the sounds of animals scratching and fighting in the walls and under the tub in Bathroom, we are not talking just small mice, Like Racoon or larger. Video taped for the owner, but he refused to listen too it and didn't care.. He did offer to move us to another room.. No Chance.. We had been up since 3am and had too wait until the office opened to discuss this issue. This was the biggest issue, but the carpets were damp and the place pretty old. There was a gap under the door so the bugs just came right in.. That we may have been able too deal with , the the animal fights in the walls and the scratching was just way too much too handle. Weekend ruined and had too drive back home.. Never Again.

Room is just what we needed. Clean & comfortable. Loved the shower very therapeutic. Had a refrigerator we didn’t expect so that was nice. Parking right in front of room. No hairdryer but thankfully I brought one. I could have asked at the office but no need. Bed is comfortable. All is well

Inexpensive, clean. The cabin was a throw back to a 1950's road side motel with the yellow front porch light and wall mounted air conditioner. bathroom was clean and updated shower. For the older and taller population, taller toilets would be a plus.

The Brookside Motel is a gorgeous, rustic, mountain hideaway. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The Motel is located just far enough to escape the hussle n bussle of downtain Lake George, but close enough to enjoy shopping and dining.

Loved the individual cabin however it was damp and smelled musty - the carpet felt wet. The stairs going down to the car from the cabin are stone covered in slippery moss

This was our second time staying here. We loved the quaintness and serenity of the place and would definitely stay again. My only complaint would be the water pressure for the shower which was pretty much nonexistent. The owners are very nice and check in/out was easy. Also enjoyed some small wildlife around there.

tv was so small it cut out half the screen we could only get one channel to work poor wi-fi

Motel is somewhat dated but room was very clean and in very good condition. Great location,not far from the main street with lots of specialty shops. Ingroun pool was nice.
Free wi-fi. TV had plenty of channel options. Not sure if shampoo was not included in the room or just forgotten to be put in the room,but we did not have any and did have small bars of soap at least. Would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here a few times over the years in the cabins and absolutely love them.They are away from the main motel and it’s much more quiet.Will be back soon!

Our stay was pleasant. Friendly atmosphere, and overall clean and welcoming. We will stay there again and recommend it to our friends and family. Close to everything in the village and a short drive to other attractions. Next time it will be a family stay! NcSMITH

Reliably clean & comfortable compact rooms. This place may be available last minute because it’s just slightly off the village path, but it’s a safe bet. Great Vietnamese restaurant close-by!

We stayed in the cabin and the owner was very nice at check-in. The pool was very nice and very clean. My only complaint would be that the bathroom is extremely small and the bed mattress was not very comfortable. We really enjoyed having the privacy of a little cabin and sitting on the front porch and listening to the stream. I would stay here again but would prefer a more comfortable mattress!
