When we checked in at the School House Inn, the attendant told us to go to our assigned room and she would bring the key and check the room. After about 10 minutes, I went to find her and she said that we needed to go to the attendant at the North Conway Mountain Inn (owned by the same people). The attendant there was very friendly and very helpful. The ratings here are for that inn, not the School House Inn.

Easy to find property right on the highway. Small comfortable room. But had to go to office to get a tool of toilet paper and they do not refresh the room during your stay.

Hotel is older but very clean and very nice staff. I prefer to support local small businesses instead of chains. The bed was very comfortable and I would stay there again.

The history of the school house makes this a unique place to stay, the staff is awesome!

Wonderful cozy cabin! Management couldn’t have been nicer. I called to say I was going to be arriving later in the evening, past their check in hours and they were very accommodating. They turned the lights, tv and heat on in our cabin and left the key for us. It was so welcoming and nice to walk into when we arrived. The cabin was charming and clean! In the morning, the man at the front desk told us the story and history of the motel and the cabin we had stayed in, he also gave us suggestions on where to go for breakfast. Friendly, accommodating and affordable- we will be back!

It was about what you would expect for an inexpensive motel. A little run down, creaky doors, floors, beds, etc. On the positive side, it was spacious and we all slept well.

This property is aged but in good condition. It is reminiscent of a late 1950s motel. The motel is clean and comfortable (to a point). It has potential to be rated quite well but there are a few features that might be improved upon: These were discussed with the owner's representative and I was told they will be passed upward. The price for the amenities offered is too high... the room's bathroom is very small although it was recently renovated; the sink is outside of the toilet and shower area in the main room; The lighting is barely adequate and an overhead lamp would resolve that criticism; There is a small dressing table placed close to the bed but no place to sit either to play a game of cards, eat a meal or sit to interview someone. A small drop-leaf table was suggested as a solution; There were no places to place suitcases - folding racks would resolve that criticism. The property is not listed as having any amenities and that is true. However, with no amenities, the price is quite high $130 US given the age of the property. I would stay again because it is clean, but not because of ambiance, amenities or price.

Excellent, convenient and affordable for a one night stop. Comfortable queen bed and very clean room. Don't expect a large room and bathroom, but for the price paid it is very honest. We would return.

Clean property. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates. Property conveniently located to many of New Hampshire’s beautiful natural sites. We were very pleased with our stay and would return if visiting the area again.

The motel is in need of a refresh. There was a patched hole in the bathtub, the toilet was extraordinarily low, the mattress was very uncomfortable, and the front office had to show us how to turn the tv on by doing something behind the tv, because the remote did not work. The carpet did appear to be new. We will not be staying here again.

Loved the cabin I stayed in. Roomy, clean and the screened in porch was a bonus. Close to everything. Staff was friendly abd welcoming.

We stayed 2 nights in a cottage, we were under the impression from the pictures that the cottages were single but they had two rooms in each, which in itself was not a problem, but ours was very close to the road and was very loud due to the traffic. Reading info on their sister property, it had balconies which would have much better since sitting on the porch of the cottage was not relaxing. Otherwise, place was clean, dated but thats the charm of New Hampshire If i had known ahead of time about the cottage proximity to the road, i would have requested a different one.The other thing I wanted to mention, when booking this property specified you could pay at the place, this was not the case, our card was charged before we got there.

Great place to stay. Totally quaint, would like to see a small table, between the (2) nice chairs inside, to have a place to eat when eating inside. Other than that, very nice!

My only real negative, and for me a big one, an ash tray outside the room on a table next to a chair was loaded with cigarette butts, and I could smell it in the room as well, maybe the last patron didnt smoke in the room but certainly carried the smell into the confined quarters. To me one of the most repulsive smells there is!!!!!!!!!! Not a pleasant experience. Probably won't revisit Schoolhouse.

School House Inn is a Cool place with a deep history in N. Conway.. Stayed in a cabin built in the late 1800’s.. Can’t tell from the modern interior.. It was quiet and relaxing.. Plenty of good shopping and places to eat minutes away.. The Staff is Very Nice and Accommodating.. It’s a Great Inn and nice to park right at your room door.. I’m the Inn type of person.. instead of hotel with hallways … The School House is a Great Place to Stay at Reasonable Rates and Good Staff…!

The host was friendly and personable. He also had suggestions on where to eat and visit.

Schoolhouse Inn was great. We had a quiet and comfortable cabin. Amenities werefie. Royce, the owner, and his family were friendly and helpful. Rooms were also very reasonably priced. We will be back.

Very convenient for our family of 4 for a one-night stop in North Conway. I appreciated the warm welcome upon arrival as the lady told me about the history of the place while leading me to our room and making sure it was meeting my expectations. We found the room very clean with nice old wooden floor. A/C was modern, not noisy. Nice bedding and curtains that match the historical touch of the place. Got good tips from gentleman at check out. Would go back.

Always drove by but never stopped in. We're so glad we did. We slept in the original schoolhouse room. Very clean and cute. Had super loud neighbors with the thin walls.

What a great place to stay, we chose the cabin, rustic but very clean, perfect for us. The people who run it are so very nice, it’s family run and what a great bunch they are. When I go to New Hampshire again this is where I will go, every time. We had the best time and loved the quiet cabin with an enclosed deck in the rear very private, we had so much fun relaxing out there after a busy day. Great place.

Rustic charm galore. If you want ikea modern this is not for you. The cabin we stayed in was cosy wood lined rustic and comfortable. The mattresses on the queen beds were squishy but comfortable. The shower was hot. The toilet was clean. Everything worked. No complaints. 5 stars considering the price
