This is an excellent property if you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation. Be sure to book a 4-wheeler before you come. They can be hard to find! Food choices are limited near the house and for the most part, we found the food to be bland with most restaurants serving the same options. There are not a lot of activites available close to the property.

Great beach house, steps from a magnificent beach.
Lovely little paradise, house is well appointed.
Lovely beach front area with restaurants at a walking distance.
Area is quiet, but gets much busier on weekends.
Thanks you Casa Inca for the lovely memories

We had a wonderful week! It has everything you need, and comfortable. The fantastic beach, just steps from the gate, was amazing. We were able to just relax, enjoy the beach, ocean, and pool. We had a great time. Only downside, and just a minor nuisance, weekends seem to be much busier, and much louder. But that would make sense as it is a beach town. While we didn’t enjoy the loud music, it didn’t detract from our stay. You won’t regret staying here at all. We will definitely be back again.

Gerne wieder!!

Perfectly located and private
We chose this rental for its location. It didn't disappoint. This is away from the hustle and bustle of Las Terrenas. It's also not mixed in with beachfront bars and restaurants - although they're easily accessible on foot. Instead, it's part of a neighborhood of beach villas.
We found the location to be a perfect blend of easy access to a quiet and beautiful stretch of Playa Ballenas while having everything else you'd want to see or do within reach. Accessing the main part of the town will likely require a car, bike or scooter. But you have several good dining options if you're willing to walk 15 minutes.
The four bedrooms and three bathrooms were comfortable for our family of five. We spent most of our time on the covered patio overlooking the pool and the beautiful, tropical garden with Caribbean blue water visible through the threes at the end of the property line. Just cross a small paved road and the beach is yours. This area can be semi-crowded on weekends when locals enjoy the beach, but it's pretty quiet on weekdays.
Note that there are neighbors to either side, but visual privacy is largely ensured. Mosquitoes come out at night (as they are everywhere in this area), so bring or buy some repellent if you're prone to bites. None of this should dissuade you from booking this villa.
Highly recommended as one of the nicer beachfront rentals available in Las Terrenas - especially for those seeking a degree of seclusion on a beautiful beach without being too far removed from all the area has to offer.

We were two families of four and really enjoyed our stay at Casa Inca! We were steps away from the beautiful beaches of Las Terrenas and just a short walk to several beach front places to drink and eat! House was very well kept and felt very comfortable and safe! Had a wonderful trip and hope to come back soon!

Lovely and very comfortable
Stayed at Casa Inca for 8 nights for family vacation - six adults. Beautiful grounds between house and beach. A delight to walk through. The house is large and very comfortable. The covered dining and seating area is perfect. The pool is quite large and very well maintained. The staff is great. Xcomara (who cleans) is wonderful and a fantastic cook - we retained her to cook four dinners. Great stay. Great property.

This is the best house you can rent in this area! The house comes with an amazing staff who will take care of all your needs. The beach out front is so beautiful it’s right out of a postcard!!! I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for the best vacation with or without a family...we were a family of four with another two! Also the pool is bigger and deeper than it looks, our kids were either in the ocean or pool! Can’t say enough positive things about our time!

We just returned from an amazing week in Las Terrenas staying at Casa Inca. We have a family of 7 with kids from 18 to 8. The house exceeded our expectations by far, we absolutely loved everything about it. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen and living areas have plenty of room - we spent most of our time at the house in the outdoor covered living area by the pool. The grounds are immaculate and private - we felt like we were in our own garden of eden. We loved being able to walk out the back gate and onto the beach. The small road that separates the back gate from the beach is a non factor and is beautifully done in cobblestone. It leads right to town, so is very convenient. This was our first time using vrbo.com and the entire rental process was very smooth and easy, from working with Robert (the owner), to Beatrice (the property manager), and Nina (the housekeeper/cook). They were all very gracious and helpful. Nina is wonderful. She does not speak english but was able to accomplish everything we needed or wanted from her. The beach is gorgeous and felt very private. The only semi busy days for people on the beach were Saturday and Sunday when the locals go to the beach. The ocean was incredible - beautiful colors. We loved snorkeling and looking for shells at the bottom. We thoroughly enjoyed Las Terrenas. It was the perfect sized town and not touristy. We felt very safe and enjoyed walking off the main roads where the locals live to experience their lifestyle. The excursions we did were: El Limon on horseback, Samana zipline, and dunebuggy ride to Playa Rincon with Samana Extreme. They were all great but our favorites were the zipline and dunebuggies - these are a must do. We spent a lot of time walking around Las Terrenas and can honestly say that Casa Inca is the nicest home and grounds that we saw. We feel like we absolutely scored on our choice of homes to rent. This was a vacation we will never forget! Quick warning for families, the area has a lot of Europeans visiting which meant frequent topless sunbathers - all of which were 50+ years old. We found this inconsiderate as this is not a topless designated area.

We stayed in Casa Inca from 7 to 17 November 2013.
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that villa is much better in real than in the photos. Villa is very comfortable and cozy. The villa is located in a cottage village on the Las Ballenas beach. After we spent several days there and drove around nearby beaches, we came to conclusion that Las Ballenas beach is the most beautiful, clean, calm and crowd-free. Every morning it is cleaned and swept. The seas is pure and crystal clear, but waves and sand can make water a bit murky. There is a road along the beach and to go to the beach you need to go out of the gate and cross this road. But I can tell that traffic is low and it absolutely doesn't disturb the rest. If you have plans to eat in restaurants-one of the more nearest restaurants is located in a 15-20 minutes walk. And, in my opinion, if you plan to cook food in villa, you must rent a car (or any vehicle) as the closest decent grocery store is located in a 10-15 minutes drive in Las Terrenas town. Villa furnishing: There are 3 rooms in the villa (as you can see in the photos). One of them with an exit to swimming-pool has a "king size" bed and is big, light and very comfortable. There is a separate bathroom with shower, toilet and two wash basins in it. There are also two other rooms which are smaller. There is a hall with a separate shower and toilet in it. There is nothing to complain about, everything works well. There is a hairdryer; towels are changed every other day. Beach towels are also there. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is everything necessary to cook: plates, pans, forks and knifes - enough of all. We were very happy to use BBQ. The swimming-pool and garden are excellent! The territory around the villa is very green and lush. There are beautiful bushes and palm trees which hide the villa from the strangers ‘looks. In real life the swimming-pool is much bigger than in the photos. The water is chlorinated. Every day at about 10-10.30 a.m. a very nice, undisturbing (??????-?? ??? ????? ??? ?? ????????? ????????) cleaning lady comes to clean the villa. Every day, as it got dark, security-guard came. I`ve read in reviews that there are many bloodsucking insects. Yes, it`s true, but mosquito-killer helps. This is not our first trip and not the first villa we rented for our family. I assure you, you won`t regret if you choose Casa Inca.

nice house - could do with mosquito screens
The Las Terrenas area is really nice and far away from the all-inclusive resorts that have given the country a bad image among travelers. Thanks to a large community of European expats you can eat out surprisingly well in some of the beachfront restaurants. While the village is nothing special, long pristine beaches are just 10 mins away by car.
The house does look similar to the pics posted on homeaway.com. It is, however, separated from the beach by a road. With the exception of Saturday/Sunday there is not much traffic, so it did not bother us much.
We enjoyed the well tended garden/pool area and the shady terrace which are ideal for lazy afternoons reading books. The maid will also cook for you - we loved the spicy fish with rice and beans. You can get fresh fish straight off the boat 5m mins walk from the house.
The house does have one big drawback: Neither the windows nor the sliding doors or the porch area are screened. This means the house fills up with bugs, including lots of mosquitoes, when you switch on the lights after sunset. Do bring plenty of strong mosquito repellent if you come here, you will need it!

wonderful stay in casa Inca
Casa Inca was better than expected. Lovely decor, comfortable and perfectly located. Not too far from town, but far enough away to be quiet. The house manager and other staff (cleaner, gardener, and 24 hour guards) weaved seamlessly into our family. If you haven't been to Las Terrenas before, at first the bikes and ATVs in town seem loud. The remedy is to rent an ATV yourself and have some fun!
Excellent location, excellent house- all good!

EXCELLENT STAY AT CASA INCA

Amazing house
Casa Inca was recommended to me by friends who had already stayed there – I must say the photos don’t do justice to the real beauty of the villa. Three lovely bedrooms all with different decorations and wall paintings, a comfortable kitchen and living-room and a superb outside terrace. Although we ate out several times, we were really best having dinner beside the pool, looking out on the lovely garden and palm trees and ...the sea. We will be back!

wonderful stay
I spent two wonderful weeks in this amazing villa with my family. The setting is beautiful, garden full of exotic flowers and the house has been superbly decorated throughout, including some native art. You can see a lot of personal attention has been made, to make guests as comfortable as possible. In addition, we spent a real holiday here – the maid cleans, does your washing, can even cook for you – we didn’t lift a finger ! The site manager was there to help us with all our requests, including providing us with phone and laptop with wireless internet access so we could keep up with business back home. We did several excursions and ate out in the great restaurants nearby. We definitely will be back in this superb house!

Disappointing misrepresentation
Our stay at this property was disastrous! The rental terms and current condition of property are inaccurate.
The house is located across the street from a beautiful beach, but it needs serious maintenance:
The pool is yellowish with rough walls. The sliding doors cannot be properly secured and not all the lights work. The kitchen has seen better days, it is not well equiped, missing most glassware, the pots and pans are out right disgusting. The sink is chipped and stained.
The linen and towels provided are as rough as sand paper.
There is no telephone, stereo, computer, nor will you be allowed use of the washing machine or broken drier.
The heat in the house is unbearable during the day, although it cools off at night with all doors open which invites insects and pests. Do not expect privacy, two sides of the yard are open to public view.
Vehicular access to the property was blocked for 2 days due to a construction ditch, combine that with the daily power outages.
The water smells like rotten eggs and you will too after showering.
I cannot recommend this property until owner improves it, corrects misrepresentations and provides good customer service.

Casa Inca -- The Place to Stay in Las Terrenas
...We just returned from a terrific week in Las Terrenas, a bustling enclave of fun and tranquility on the north coast of the Domincan Republic's Semana penninsula. Attracted initially by the kitesurfing (for which Las Terrenas is well known), we didn't expect to find such pristine beaches, superb dining, or friendly vibrant people. We stayed at Casa Inca, a superbly appointed three-bedroom pool home situated amidst trendy villas on the west side of town. Steps to the beach and horseback riding, Casa Inca was a marvelous oasis...We'll be back!
