We 5 people carried a lot of luggage, and missed one piece when checked out. The staffs of the hotel found that it was too late to send to the airport hence they sent one staff to carry the big luggage to Xi'an (our next stop) by train and delivered to us for free. They are unbelievable nice and I highly appreciate their help in my trip. I will strongly recommend the hotel to my friends.

This was the best customer service I received in my entire traveling life. I have travelled to Europe, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore etc but this was the best experience ever! 10/10.

The hotel was very nice with updated rooms. Staff was courteous and pleasant. They would go out of their way to help us. Very few of the staff members could talk in English which was a little inconvenient but they would try to find someone who could communicate with us. The hotel amenities were efficient. Spa was very nice and relaxing with an extensive massage menu. The masseuse was well trained and did a great job with our deep relaxation massage. The area around the hotel had many shops and restaurants but the location of the hotel is far from the city centre and a little inconvenient

I was comfortable here for three nights. Reception people were competent with English. Many services available, but I utilized only the gym. The gym was well equipped and available 24hours. The only problem I had in my stay was with the poor wifi. It was not possible for me to do any work that depended on access to the internet.

The hotel was nice and the room was HUGE! One of the tree restaurants was closed and one night they had an event in one of the two so only the western one was open. The food at both was OK. Breakfast was great. The only issue we had was at checkout we had two charges on our bill that were not real and we had to jump through hoops to have them removed and the front desk woman was a bit rude about this process. All in all we would suggest staying here.

First time I stayed at this hotel, it was amazing. Second time, the water was not hot and the air conditioner did not work. Besides that, all was good!

The only downfall in the room we stayed in is that the bathroom has a window into the bedroom area and it's not very private if you are staying with a colleague or a friend. The shower and toilet are behind well-tinted doors, but the bathtub and sink area is not. There is a shade that you can bring down but it doesn't really do anything. The staff is very helpful and most speak English. The restaurant is wonderful and has lots of options.

Huge hotel with big room and great bed. Next to grocery store and shopping mall. Extremely clean. I enjoyed massage which was worthwhile splurge. Breakfast buffet looked great but cost $25 pp so did not try. We could not get access to work but otherwise a great place.

The front desk was busy when I arrived, absolutely packed when I walked past later, and was bewildered by my bill when I checked out. Perhaps these are just growing pains. Could not for the life of me find a room service menu in my room. Called down for one, waited a half an hour, and gave up to try the restaurant. My server was great. She saw the sandwich the chefs had made for me, decided it was too small, and ordered them back to make another one. Took forever, but I appreciate her sticking up for the guest. The food was tasty when it arrived. Another superlative employee was the concierge who was as good as any concierge at any hotel I've stayed at in the world. Overall, a polarizing experience. But I'd give them another shot if I ever come back through Xining again.

My stay was very good overall. The room was very comfortable with all the amenities you need. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that the housekeeping may need a little more training on refilling consumed items such as complimentary water and coffee mate in the room. The area around the hotel is very new so there are less attractions around the hotel yet as compared to other areas.

Will stay in the same hotel if I visit Xining next time

The staff was very professional and Evin Xing was a big help organising a very early taxi for our departure and making sure things were taken care of. It's not in the center of town, but nothing is far and you can breathe a little better as a result.

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. The first time was at a woman's retreat. The 2nd time was because I was so enamored with the hotel and staff the first time. I will be taking my mother there this next month as her Christmas gift this year. I will always try to stay in a Sofitel when I am travelling, but especially in the Xining Sofitel! It is my home away from home.
