Our stay at the Royal St. Andrews Hotel over the Christmas holidays was truly exceptional. Despite the busy season, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that instantly made us feel relaxed and welcome. The staff, led by the admirable hotel manager, Difford, went above and beyond to ensure our holiday stay was special.
The housekeeping service, particularly by Bonnie, was outstanding. Our room was impeccably maintained each day, providing a serene and spotless haven to return to amidst the festive hustle. Bonnie’s attention to detail and dedication significantly enhanced our comfort during the stay.
The hotel’s ability to create a peaceful atmosphere during one of the busiest times of the year was impressive. The blend of festive charm and modern amenities ensured our stay was both delightful and relaxing. The festive decorations and ambience added to the joy of our holiday, making it a Christmas to remember.

The dog next door to the hotel barked the entire night and early in the morning. I am sure it barked throughout the day as well, but we were playing golf and at the beach during the day. The hotel is fabulous though and the staff is amazing. Do not waste your time going to The Thistle. The food is overpriced and the portions are incredibly small. The Highlander I would highly recommend. The food was good and portions in relation to price was very good.

The place is nice and would recommend to other friends.. But their bedding disappointed me to another level.. I guess this was just a negligence from the housekeeping supervisor.

I only stayed one night on my way to East London from PE. Our short stay was really nice and my daughter and her friend have been telling all their friends about the great place they stayed at.

Conveniently located opposite golf club entrance. Very well run. We were in a heritage room which was large/roomy and very quit and private. Staff were very obliging and always smiling. Great place to stay

We have found it hard to find 4*+ accommodation in the Ndlande/Port Alfred area. This is great. Well trained friendly and effective staff and a manager who never seems to rest. Very nice facilities. Good location close to town and the beach. Quiet location next to the gold course. Felt safe and secure at all times. Once you have seen the big sights of South Africa, this is a nice part of the country to spend a week or two.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The best food I have ever eaten in a pub! Breakfast was also delicious. Much higher than average thats usually available. Very comfortable bed and well soundproofed rooms.

I must say I was impressed with the hotel and the room, it was all very comfortable and a nice size room.everything was 5 star quality in the room, cannot complain. nice big bed and comfortable pillows, WI Fi also worked well. We did book the room for 3 days so I think they could have given us a brighter room a bit stuck away at the back thought as we had not paid full price they stuck us in a back room.
I do like my TV so was disappointed with the lack of channels but this appears to be the norm. All the 3 film channels were not working and was told this was a MNET problem, I told them not to pay the account until it was fixed but I noted my account was not reduced.
The room was great but the breakfasts and the other meals were just OK. Service a bit slow and they try to be a bit fancy.
All in all if we go back there will probably stay there.
