It was an amazing stay fro me and my family as it was short notice we were able to get in and check in with out any problems the staff was amazing at getting me checked in. Checking out was amazing very family oriented and professional kinds and welcoming. Will return to rent again

Room was pretty bare bones. The hot and cold taps on the sink are backwards, so hot was in the right. Smoke alarm had been taken town and was not present. Floor was pretty sticky. For the price, I wasn't upset, but for sure could use some paint and new flooring under the bed.

Never stayed at this hotel. Booked through third party they ran my card over the phone without my approval and put several deposit charges. Meanwhile I never even was able to stay at the property because no one was at the front desk when going to check in. They refuse to refund my money and deposit for a service I never receive. They are a credit card scam! BEWARE DONT STAY! Unless your desperate but still then don’t give your card details.

I have stayed here at the valley in on more than one occasion, I have two dogs and they never charge for a pet. The rooms are very spacious and the staff is Always very friendly

One employee was great! Sherry went above and beyond her job description in making sure customers stay was pleasant.
Another employee was incredibly rude from the outset. And seemed to derive pleasure from doing so. Very strange.
Owners seem nice.
Rooms could use a Lil more detail when being cleaned.
Policies and rules are seemingly arbitrary.
Semi automatic gunfire was alarming...not sure if anyone called the police, one employee stated "its not my responsibility, im not the one working right now" Unreal.

Ive stayed before with some friends! My stay this time around was just as good if not better than before, the staff are nice and the hotel is quiet. They have a store nearby that was convenient, the check in was fast and easy!

I liked the remodel they did but there were boogers on the wall a glass jar with a broken pipe invthe microwave and a old syringe under the fridge

Well as far as staying there it was different from the normal, but the Jack Hammering very early morning of a destroyed pool, and the knocking on the door 10:30, 10:35 to tell me to please bring down all towels and wash clothes
furing telling me that check out is at 11:00 am was over the top!
and that had brought me to the decision of never stay at that Hotel again.

Overall stay was good. Initially there were some issues with my reservation/stay and Sherry who works the front desk went above and beyond her job description to alleviate any concern.
I have 30+ years experience in the customer service industry and it is my personal opinion that Sherry truly cares about the guest experience. Her seemingly inate ability to lead by example would best be served if she was a trainer/team leader for existing and any future employees at this establishment.
I will continue to frequent this establishment because of Sherry. The hotel would benefit greatly if other employees were as customer oriented as she is.

The facility is clean. It would be nice to see a designated bin for guests to place recyclables. The best part of this hotel is Sherry who works the front desk. Initially there were some concerns with my stay, Sherry, in my opinion, went above and beyond her job description and was able to alleviate any issues. Its evident that she truly cares about the guest experience and her overall demeanor exudes excellent customer service.
There is a training opportunity for some other employees, who seemingly strive to follow the rules and do their job however, as it is in any business, sometimes the #1 priority "The Guest Experience" ends up taking a back seat when mixed in with the minutiae of the overall task(s) requirements.

With her enthusiasm and what i see to be an inate ability to lead by example, the overall guest experience will not only surpass a 'good' guest experience but elevate that same experience into an 'exceptional' one.
A pleasant hotel stay provided by a well trained, customer service oriented employee, will result in repeat customers, from a desirable demographic, contributing favorably to their business model.

As usual I was able to get some much needed rest and when I stay at the Valley Motel El Cajon I always get what I need. The staff is really helpful and always super accommodating. Really the staff is what keeps me coming back.

This was my second time staying here and this last room was not very inviting. It had cockroaches and the restroom door didn’t close.

Sherry, at the front desk, super cool. This motel is lucky to have someone so pleasant behind the desk. I would come back because of how she treated me.

Cigarette but under pillow. Cigarette burns in the sheets. 1 towel, 1 washcloth. No screens on windows.

The room was old and poorly kept. The floor was so sticky and disgusting we went and bought flip flops to keep off of it. We also needed to use flip flops in the shower and bathroom as the tub and flooring were dirty. For 100.00 it was quiet, the staff is the highlight of the place. They were so nice and welcoming. They made our visit nice.
