Outdated in a bad way. We were expecting an older look, maybe early 1900s but we got the early 1990s and 2000s. Floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked. Toilet seat paint was worn off. Big patch in the ceiling unfinished. Laminate floors in the room were very worn down. The place needs some money invested into it. The view from the room was interesting. We just couldn't wait to finish our 2 night stay.

Loved our stay at the Tilton Inn. It's a quaint old hotel with great porches to sit on and watch the local fireworks that happened to be going on. Also relax at the end of the day.
Onions restaurant was excellent from the food (excellent)to the service (excellent)and even the decor. Cheryl was a great server and Jess was an awesome bartender, both friendly and helpful. Loved being able to eat and relax right at the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

I totally recommend this inn. The staff were incredibly nice and the food in the attached restaurant was great. I absolutely loved our room. We stayed in the Henry Ford room which was extremely cozy. Once the hot water kicked on in the shower I didn't want to leave due to the high power head. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that there was no coffee maker in the room and the guest journal that is supposed to be in the room was gone. Other than that everything was great and we plan on going back. I would recommend this Inn to anyone.

It was quaint with bookshelves full with old books and a big poster bed. The restaurant below had wonderful food (lunch and dinner only) and jazz piano player on Saturday night. I would recommend if you don't want a lot of bells and whistles.

Loved our stay here. Friendly, affordable and clean. Room was a little small but would like to visit again. The restaurant on the first level called Onions was great also

This place was such a nice treat to stay at then the usual hotels. This place was so quaint and perfect. It was like staying at home. Rooms were small but nice and loved the pub. Get away from the big hotels and stay here!

Great friendly place to stay owners on site friendly local attractions in the area I was there for bike week it was a disappointment there wasn't too many bikes their but maybe next year

Price was very decent, good restaurant on premises and good sound insulation floor to floor (first floor has a bar and the restaurant). Located right in the center of Tilton, if you like old charm New England this is the place.

Charming hotel in Quaint New England town. We were greeted by the lovely owners, a warm cozy fire and a bowl of Bermuda Onion Soup . Each room has a different theme. Excellent food and ambiance.

I got a good price on the room on the day of my stay and it was nearby where I needed to be. This is a quaint inn with restaurant/bar that has good food and service. My room was basic and small, but I knew that from the description. Friendly hosts. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed the old world charm of the inn, the air conditioning was more than adequate. The beds were comfortable but the noise from the road woke us during the night. We were in the front side of the building. The Henry Ford room, on the back of the building, was charming and quiet! Breakfast was wonderful and fresh. The inn was clean and pleasant.

It was a really nice central place to stay. Easy to find and park, Tilton is not a really high point of interest but it is a pleasant small town. The rate was good, the place was spotless, I did not eat at restaurant this time but have and it is nice standard food at decent price. the staff was really helpful, good places to eat in town too, and they gave good recommendations. I will be back to visit family nearby and will definitely stay again if the price remains as reasonable in the future

The staff is very friendly and the location is convenient. The only con I'd mention is that the HVAC system could be improved as I could smell the cigarette smoke from other rooms.
