It was an older motel but was really clean

The pool was only open from 2pm-6pm, but check out is at 11am and check in time is 4pm. That leaves little time to swim, horrible hours. The power went out during a storm. The sheets were stained. The window was boarded up.

I adored this place. It was so unique and the kids loves it. Things were outdated, but I think that added to the charm. The staff was very friendly and approachable when i had questions. They had little animated rides for the kids and water slides in the pole. Ill definitely go again

It's a nice family owned business.

No one to check you in. Had mice droppings in my bed. No inside pool hasn’t worked all year but they but a sign out down for maintenance. Never go there it’s trash!!

I would strongly advise anyone to stay away from this hotel. It was very rundown and not properly put together. The "waterpark" was hand made and and was basically just some pool noodles hanging from the ceiling with lights and water on them. The owner was very rude and un professional. She even went so far as to come in the pool house and throw away our personal belongings with out saying a word to us! When my husband confronted her about it she called the cops. I will never stay here again and i would recommend anyone looking to find somewhere else!

The railing for the steps to the slides were rusted, the management is rude, there was a hornets nest out side our door. The rooms were dirty.

The place needs to be upgraded badly. The man running the place was less than friendly, the reason we booked there was for the water park after we checked in we were told there had to be a certain amount of kids there before it was turned on. We would of left if we hadn't already paid!!!!

Male manager was extremely hateful. Refused to turn on the indoor water park, yelling at me and another resident that we were getting a deal and with 2 children he wasn’t going to turn it on. Pool was cloudy. We were moved from one room to another our first night. Construction started early waking us. I think because of the heat I had a mini heatstroke therefore I was too sick to move to another hotel.

Interesting little place decorated with an assortment of kids rides out. Older property with room decor to match. There's supposed to be a pool, but we didn't see it. Not the fanciest place we've been to, but it worked out for us.

We checked into our room to find dingy, stained carpets, mattresses that were older than me and dead bugs under the beds and rugs. My husband went to talk to the manager, she got very ugly with him and refused to give our money back. Her selling point to try to get us to stay was the "water park". The water park is inside a metal building with no lighting. It was super dark in there. Half of the play areas were shut down. And the pool was an odd green color. I was not about to let my kids play in that water. The manager finally told us there is nothing wrong with her hotel and that we could leave. Ultimately we decided to find another place to stay.

The service was horrible. The grouchy lady at the desk was overly rude and the condition of that tiny room was unkept. No hot water in the shower and the desk lady was banging on the room early in the morning asking if we were staying another night or not.... I wouldn't recommend my worse enemy to stay at this place.. don't do it

1. I chose the “pay at property” though Hotels.com. A day before i was going there, I get a notification that they already charged my card. So I called the shamrock and she said “well it’s a long weekend and because you didn’t cancel on the 48 hours then we assumed you were coming so we charged all the cards.” Completely bad first impression before we even got there. I didn’t even want to pay with that card. I wanted to put in cash and also I booked another room for my sister and she wanted to pay for her own. Made my card overdraft because I hadn’t got paid yet. Hence the reason I chose the “pay at property” option. 2nd. my sisters room had large spiders in the bathroom. The floors in the bathrooms needed to be mopped, Bad! The light in our room was so dim you felt like you were in a club. We saw the cleaning lady bring clean linens to the rooms in an old shopping cart. Yuck Third (and most horrendous). The “indoor water park” was DISGUSTING, had literal green bubbly water that hasn’t been cleaned in ages. It was Dark and creepy in there as well as the stairs to go up the slides were covered in rust. I should have taken more photos but there was a creepy person walking around so I got my kids and we got out of there fast. If you are considering go to this town to dig for diamonds. Let me just save you a trip. It’s pretty horrible because there is such a slim chance of you finding anything. The mine has been open since the very early 1900s. There are none!

Water park, heated pool

The room was ok. The bathroom and sink are separated. The heater is ne t to the sink which is a safety hazard. The air-conditioner was very cold. The recliner was broken down. The swimming pool was brown and very nasty and the fountain in tbe front of the building was brown and nasty. They advertised they had breakfast but we did not see anyplace where they had breakfast. We wony stay there again we will go elsewhere if we ever go back

Loved loved this quaint little place

I dont know why people has so much expecttaions in this little charming town. This hotel is so much better than famous franchise for whre it is. Owners are polite and straight forward. The carpet in our room is spotless! The indoor pool maybe nit well maintained but my kids couldnt get enough of. We will surely be back!

An older property that they have tried to keep in good condition but it shows. The bed was good but the carpet was seriously dirty (from all the diamond miners i am sure) the only thing to really complain about was the bath area, not a flat surface to be found to set anything in our room, neighboring room was much better on this. They have some nice BBQ grilles and two outdoor areas with tables and chairs to sit and visit

Got to the property before the “closing” time. Had to ring the bell, the gentleman who answered the door seemed very annoyed at the fact we got there at 9:45 at night. Didn’t really explain where our room was and once we found our room and unpacked, all that was heard was the people next door fighting and the people upstairs literally stomping around. I understand, there isn’t anything you can do about bad neighbors, but come on. First thing you notice is how unkept and unclean the rooms are. The baseboards haven’t been touched in months, the amount of cobwebs around the room was disgusting, random “stuff” on the walls, no shower head, sink nor tub would drain, huge crack in the ceiling above the shower, and to top it off the what seems to be black mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. The pool has way too much chlorine and the black slide literally almost ripped my sons back open from the large hump it had inside of it. Definitely disappointed and will not be back. I was sure to take pictures to document our stay🙄

extra fees for pets, no breakfast, roaches in the microwave, small space heater for the entire room, poor customer service. and use of profanity to us.

The "indoor water park" was still being built so was not available to us. the indoor pool had 3 slides that weren't turned on. but my kids still had a blast. Room service didnt come around at all though.

They canceled my original room and then overcharged me for another room. I tried several times, giving them a call. They never answer the phone.

The Shamrock motel was ok. Older motel in a convenient location and it was clean. It could have used a security lock/ chain on the door. More counter space would be nice in the large bathroom. Major drawback was the Wi-Fi password did not work. The staff was not very friendly. Overall nothing terrible about stay but nothing excellent either, just okay.

Wish there was continental breakfast

You get what you pay for. Small room, small TV, no food options, the ice machine was out, drink machine was unplugged. Bed was actually fairly comfortable. You're looking at convenience to the diamond mines and a cheap room.

Property was convenient location. Staff not very friendly. No one in office. Charged extra for service dog.

it is a very small town so there are really not many options. we did not have much expectation. the place is old but it is clean enough to stay in. kids had a blast at the pool. water was very warm which is really nice.
