The room was clean and comfortable. The Bistro Restaurant and bar were both great

4th time here. Staff are great. Room is comfortable. No free breakfast and you need a reservation ideally if you want one at their attached restaurant

This is the best hotel in the Youngstown area for location and style. There was a wedding and a prom going on the night we were there, so we didn't get the room type we had reserved. We were told that reservations through Hotels.com (Expedia) are always overbooked and it's to be expected that the preferred room type isn't necessarily available. Our room was also near some sort of plumbing, so all night long we heard flushing and other water flow noises. The hotel bar is nice, but it closes early, so we missed it this time. I'll stay here again, but beware the limitations in amenities.

Lovely hotel and walking distance from music venues. We arrived at 5 PM on a Saturday and couldn't get into our room until 650 PM. We were going to a concert that started at 7. That sucked

Check in time was 3pm we got there at 4pm and our room wasn't ready AND they wouldn't let us check in. We had to leave our party and come back to check-in. They were not very understanding. I paid $400 for the room!!
Totally ridiculous!

Great awesome place. Definitely will return again!!

The hotel is the best thing in Youngstown. The restaurant is actually very good. Great onion soup. The only thing I don’t like is you have to pay for parking. Didn’t know that

The hotel is very nice and is right downtown in a historic building. It also has a nice restaurant on the main floor. We liked it a lot and would stay there again.

Very comfortable bed! Nice bathroom features including the mirror nightlight.
Did not like the skinny shower or lack of microwave!

Very recently renovated. The downtown section is being renovated as a whole and it's looking great! I loved how convenient everything was to this hotel. Lots of food options and shopping all within a few blocks. If you don't want to walk, then the Bistro 1907 in the hotel is a great restaurant itself. A great place for business or pleasure!

The DoubleTree in Downtown Youngstown is a gem. It makes my visits to the city so convenient, and makes them feel special in such a beautiful setting (unlike all the options by the interstate).

Hotel experience was generally quite good. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Restaurant was great and fitness room was well equipped. My stay would have been just about perfect, except I didn't get the room I had reserved. I had booked through Expedia and had gotten a sizeable discount for a king room with a sofabed. However, when I checked in I was told that room was not available. The desk person said he believed that someone in Hilton Honors club self-checked in and took room. Got a king room with a chair, but no sofa bed. Price was the same and there were no cheaper rooms available. Room was fine, but it bothers me that my reservation was second class compared to the 'Club Member'. If they want to hold back some rooms for their special friends, that's fine, but to poach my room seems patently unfair. This policy should be made very clear at the time of reservation and I'll just book the cheapest room.

Have stayed overnight about a dozen times at this hotel. Good experiences up to this one. The mattress was a cheap one, very uncomfortable. At around midnight, a fight broke out in the room next to ours. Constant screaming of obscenities, shouting, body slams against the wall for about an hour, then finally the fight(s) spilled out into the hallway. Called management, they sent some up to quell the mini-riot. Then, loud talking in the room, right behind my headboard, until 3am or so. We never heard anything from another room during previous stays - I don't know if this was a construction shortcut particular to the room we had on this visit, but the walls were disappointingly thin. This is an otherwise nice place, but be advised, if there is a brouhaha in a room around you, you'll be hearing all the action all night long.

Wasn’t told there was an extra charge for parking, it just showed up on my bill. I also asked if there was any way to move my stay to the following night as my wife wasn’t able to make it into town and I was told without hesitation that was impossible. The staff were friendly in appearance but not very helpful or accommodating.

When visiting family in the area this is my favorite hotel. Close to my parents home and next to YSU.

Where's the warm cookies :) Could've been just one of those days, but the lady checking us in that night wasn't very friendly or helpful at all. Stayed at a Double Tree in Canton, totally the opposite...everything you expect at a Double Tree, e.g., a smile, friendly staff, offered a warm cookie, and enthusiastic behind the desk. Very welcoming!

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Youngstown. Free warm cookies upon arrival!! Staff was pleasant. Rooms comfortable clean and nice. My only complaint is a fan in the bathroom that doesn’t turn off so bring ear plugs

The breakfast was cold… I’ve eaten there plenty of times, and the food was good. This tine, the entire breakfast was lousy. The electric burners were mot working (they were on). But not adequate enough to keep the entire batch hot. Every item was cold. I was disappointed…

Great service, clean property inside and out. Good views of the city skyline if your into that scenery. Convenient for walking around Youngstown. 10/10 would stay here. However, upon check out we had a hiccup w Expedia but they are making it right and so is the property. Would recommend this to anyone staying in or around Youngstown!!

Had a corner suite and it was huge. Sadly the TV in the bedroom didn’t work. Shower was surprisingly small for the size of the bathroom. I only stayed one night.

The Hotel is a restored building that was the first skyscraper in Youngstown. It is a beautiful building with very beautiful plantings and flowers in the front. Rooms are large and very clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. Parking is convenient in an open lot next door for $12.00 a day. Room prices were very reasonable. I have only one suggestion for improvement. The very fine restaurant has very limited hours and provides breakfast only from room service. A very expensive breakfast. The Restaurant, Bistro 1907, does not open until late in the day so no lunch is available the hotel. My daughters and I ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent and the specialty cocktails were delicious. I would recommend this Hotel highly.

I booked this room 6 months prior through expedia the room was not ready prior to check in and i booked a king room and received a 2 queen room. Despite weddings and a big concert on a saturday night the restaurant closed and there is no food offered in the morning there was coffee but no cream ormilk. The shower was way too tight for my partner. I paid $460 for this room not again.

When I checked into my room there were price tags and baby nuks under the beds. It had not been vacuumed. The maid busted into our room at 8:00 am. Woke us up from a dead sleep. I had the extra lock set so she could only open it a little, but it was very loud and it really scared my son, who is autistic. When I asked her what she was doing, she said "I knocked three times before I opened it. I had to see if someone was in there." I didn't hear the knocks because I was sleeping. Apparently they don't know what rooms are occupied and which ones aren't. The hotel restaurant was closed, but the girl at the front desk didn't even know. She sent me to a local restaurant for breakfast. We walked, it was closed too. The parking garage was blocked from the outside parking lot when we came back from a trip to the store, so I had turn around and find another entrance. If you like rude maids waking you up early and dirty rooms, this is the hotel for you. When I first got there, I asked the girl at the front desk if it was safe to walk around the neighborhood during the day, and she said, " Oh yes, I walk around here all the time during the day and at night." The next day I asked her if she knew how to get to a park that was only two blocks from the hotel and she told me she wasn't from there and didn't know the area.

Even though it is a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth the stay.

Rude staff at check-in. Arrived at 3:20 and room was not available until 4:30. Booked a king room and received a 2 double bed room.

The building was old and seemed to be renovated but didn’t look completely finished. Sofa in bedroom was old with stains on it. Loose fixtures in the shower, poor internet connections. Overall, I was very disappointed with the appearance and conditions of this Hotel!

We stay here whenever we come to Youngstown to visit family. The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant is excellent. The location provides easy access to most highways to neighboring areas. A great urban alternative to the surrounding suburban motels.
