The Marriott was stationed by very responsible persons and they were not able to shift my room to the requested location saying it was too busy, but the hotel was not. The services at the kitchen offered specific menu items but due to lack of personnele, the same person had to make the dinner, as run the register. The meal was a bit different than the menu on the board. The sink did not drain and when someone looked at it, they left the debris in the sink and did not clean up after themselves, or fix it fully. The bed had half of the mattress lower than the other half. The room faced an area of troy that could use some greenery and tlc. The view was of a garbage dumpster and a church with broken windows and a parking lot next to a deserted building. The hotel welcome menu said there was a market next door for food. It was closed and empty. If there is a seasonality to the area, it should be made known. On a positive note, the area of Troy is undergoing renovations and the waterfront, though completely closed down, was clean.
If Marriott wants to give some extra effort to the location on all 4 sides of the location, it would be a plus. Two hires are advised, a security presence and a dedicated chef or bartender on weekends.

Recommend requesting a riverfront room. The street side was very noisy with traffic from the nearby bridge.

The refrigerator could be a little larger. Otherwise, the room was very nice and clean. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed for one night. Overall everything was fine but there was no safe in the room. This amenity is pretty standard and surprised a Marriott didn't provide one. Also surprised that no bottled water in the room. Finally, the tv channel selection very limited for this day and age.

Another good experience with Courtyard. Second time starting here and no issues. Only nit picky item was the clock was off by 15 minutes and unable to change. No big deal with a cell phone these days. Clean, modern and nice large parking. It won't be the last time we start here on our trips to upstate NY.

Bistro has an extremely limited menu and the bistro staff were constantly complaining they were understaffed. Took over a half hour to get two muffins, a bagel and two coffees. Muffins were inedible.
The staff checking guests in were extremely nice and professional. Cleaning staff were loudly swearing in front of guests about their inability to get on the elevator.
The neighborhood around the property does not seem safe at all.

Bathroom was not up to mark. Sink in the bathroom was clogging. Mildew on shower caulking was disgusting. Marriot need to improve on it to maintain their standards

This was a good hotel. It was obviously built very recently, and the rooms were well configured. I appreciated that the bed faced the window. And the bathroom was well organized as well. It seem to be a new style of hotel room into which some thought I had been put. the service when we checked in was very good, largely due to one very helpful and cheerful employee. In the morning, however, the service was indifferent. So it was clear that the experience of the hotel depended on who happened to be on staff that day .

I was so disappointed this time became previous stays had been so wonderful. There were literally no bed coverings. All i had was a sheet and some half blankey thingy so there was nothing to snuggle down under. I ended up sleeping in a sweatshirt because the sheet was so skimpy. I even had trouble pulling that up to my shoulders. Worst night sleep in a long time. But the gym was good!

The location is great and right near several main roads. The building and guest rooms are lovely, rather new and kept very well. It was really close to our meetings and had off-street parking. The view of the river is fantastic and in good weather would be a great experience. My only real issue was the amount of transient people criss crossing the parking area to access an adjacent open space.

Also there was hair under the flat sheet.
Towels did not smell fresh.
Encountered one of the cleaning people eating dorritos while handling the white linen..

Hotel is just on the outskirts of downtown Troy. There are a lot of safety measures in place for the hotel, the area around it didn’t appear to be extremely safe. Hotel itself is very nice and well maintained.

The hotel is newer, lobby is nice but the area is terrible. While there are a few bars in walking distance, there was no way we were walking there. Do a google map view before you consider this hotel. Way over priced for the area. The room was decent except for the bathroom. Dirt stains on the shower curtain, chemical stains on the wall next to the toilet, and the bathroom floors were very dirty in the corners. Our room slept 4 people, but only 3 towels were in the room and no hand soap, had to ask for both (not a big deal, but those should be easy things). The "barista" was extremely annoyed with having to make coffee for us 2 days in a row. She actually greeted us with "Breakfast is over", before I had a chance to just ask if we could order a coffee, not pleasant at all. I won't be staying here again, many more options in the area.

We only stayed one night, however room was smelling like an astray and partly I believe it had dirty filters on the AC unit. There was no operable window, so we couldn't get the clean air in. Room number was 417. Since it was late at night and we've had to leave early in the morning. We stayed. But I don't think I can stay there again.

We were there to bike the trails. We were there Saturday through Tuesday, July 4. Due to the holiday, it was difficult to find breakfast. Fortunately, the hotel has breakfast. My one negative is that they only accept credit, no cash and good prices were high.

Very nice hotel and super clean. It seems fairly new. Definitely stay on the water side as the street side is noisy due to traffic.
