This is a bit of a hard review to write. With the recent renovations, we see the potential in this location - but our stay was unfortunately very clunky. We were on a road trip and booked the same day. The hotel office closed at 5pm so we had to get a code to get in the office and get our keys when we arrived that evening. That worked fine but there were also other guest keys for pick up there as well - it felt unsecure. Before we arrived, we asked if the on-site bar would be open, and the answering service told us it was indeed open. But when we arrived it was very, very closed. We also expected the pool to be in service, but it was empty and closed as well. It was after 9pm before we found a place to eat and returned later for bed. Unfortunately, at 5:45 am the fire alarm went off so we all had to go outside. The police and fire department arrived and we found out the alarms go off often. They were also not happy because there was no manager on site to let them know how many guests were there and in what rooms. We had 2 more days in town and decided to find a different place to go instead. Maybe things run differently in the summer months, but our experience was rough.

I paid Hotels.com in full, in advance, for my room on September 9, 2023. When I arrived for my scheduled stay on May 10, 2024, the hotel billed me again. When I told the hotel desk that I was being charged for the second time, the hotel told me it was not their fault, that it is Hotels.com's fault. I now have to dispute the double charge with my bank, which makes me very angry. I will never use Hotels.com again, nor will I ever stay at Beach Walk Hotel again.

They had us waiting for our room for 45 minutes and they basically forgot about us. We had to ask again and they finally realized we were sitting there waiting for so long. We watched several people getting checked in right away. Some guests were treated wonderfully and explained every detail of their stay, others, like us, got the bare minimum information. Not sure why, maybe something about race.... The room was comfortable and clean. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything.

Will definitely be going back. Staff was excellent and very helpful. New rooms were beautiful with great water views

Room and view were great! Only drawback was that the elevator was down and we were on the 3rd floor.

Proximity to relatives we were visiting. Clean, friendly staff.

Property is lovely and picturesque...however i received a message that keys were kept in a safe zone and no one was at the counter. Had to wait for 2 hrs before someone answered my calls.. the service was really poor since they didnt keep my keys and i had to ring numerous times to get a response back

Friendly, helpful staff, clean modern rooms. Would stay again, highly recommended
