It's an ok Suite-type room with Kitchenette. I much preferred the Holiday Inn that is in the same building. Staff was great and friendly and all was clean. Breakfast is better than it used to be but there is still room for improvement on that front.

The hotel is clean and modern with plenty of free parking. The location is excellent for us as we came to watch our granddaughter's ringette tournament and the hotel is minutes from the arena. Brittany Cormier was welcoming, helpful, friendly and accommodating - 10/10 for customer service as she made us feel at home.
Our room is spacious and comfortable - 2 very comfortable queen size beds and a kitchenette.
We like the coffee machine in the lobby.
There is a plaza close by with plenty of restaurants though if you have some dietary restrictions or simply prefer to make your own meals, you can easily do so in the kitchenette - pots, pans, dishes, bowls, cutlery available, and the full-size fridge will store your groceries.
We are very happy we booked this hotel, nothing really to complain about.

I like everything about this hotel! Like the swimming pool, and the pool’s hr was starting at 6am till 11:00pm. Which you can go for a swim before your breakfast and after your dinner. Love it!!!!!!!!

We stayed for two nights. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would stay again. The room was comfortable and quiet, the staff were very friendly.
Breakfast had a great selection. Our only complaint would be that the area to get your food was very crowded very quickly.

The hotel looks new and everything is clean. The room was warm where outside in Kingston it was -10C. We stayed overnight on Christmas Day, 2022. Didn't use too many amenities but everything looks clean and pleasant. Our double queen bed room had a kitchenette. The TV was large and worked well. Room was brightly lit. It is one building, with some of the rooms in the hall marked Holiday Inn Express while others were marked Candlewood. Odd but whatever. Nice place.

Property is relatively new and in very good condition. Very clean. It is about as far from downtown Kingston as you could be, so a car would be helpful. The property is surrounded by new construction sites. I am sure in a few years time urban crawl will surround the hotel and it won't feel so distanced from the city.

It was honestly fantastic! It's been built in an area that is clearly up and coming, so it's a bit far from downtown, but like 15 minutes. Not a big deal! There are breweries and restaurants close by!

The hotel is kind of confusing. You have two hotels combined in one building. The Holiday Inn is also housed in the same place.If you are a holiday Inn guess you get free breakfast but if you are a Candlelight guess there is no breakfast.This does not make sense.Pool is quite small.The beds are noisy and too soft.Eveytime you turn there is an annoying squeaking dound coming from the box spring.I can't understand why they will have corrugated cardboard box springs in a hotel.I am in the mattress industry and know that is the cheapest box spring in the market.I left there with a sore back.The mattresses are way too soft and sinking too much for my liking.

Extremely noisy most the night, children running in the halls until 2am and a dog barked constantly until 1am. No one cared that worked there.

Overall the hotel its self was great. But we wouldnt sleep for 2 night because there were teenagers running the halls and pounding on the doors. One night till 1am the next till 4am.
Tried calling down to front desk at 3am but there was no answer.

This newly opened Candlewood suites have very clean amenities near a nice hiking trail and close to the highway. The lighting controls system inside the building was energy efficient using motion /occupancy sensors to turn the lighting on and off in the hallway. Love the lighting and hallways were brightly lit on the floors. Love the stairs for fire exits with large windows to allow natural lighting which feels more safe while using the stairs as the elevators were a bit slow. he breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchenette was a real bonus for our 3 days stay as there are no restaurants within 5 mins walking distance.
