Really nice hotel and good service. Good located hotel close to the beach and restaurants. No parking but paid parking is not far away. Good value to stay here. And Estepona overall was a pleasant surprise.

Amazing location, great place to stay on the Costa Del Sol, very pleased with what the town had to offer and the hotel was exceptional. So well kept and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is beautiful. From the minute you walk through the doors you cant help but say WOW! Reception staff are very welcoming and friendly, they even greeted us with a bottle of champagne as it was our anniversary, a lovely gesture we thought. Our room was one of the standard rooms but was definately anything but standard. It was beautiful. Nice big size. Beautiful quality bedding and pillows. Bed very comfy. Our bathroom was absolutly gorgeous, jacuzzi bath. A toilet with a remote control and even lit up! Fantastic. We also had bathrobes and slippers. Towels changed everyday and our room cleaned daily. The hotel is in a fantastic area of Estepona. A beautiful square that is buzzing with tourists and beautiful restaurants, flowers everywhere you look. It really is in a great spot. Dont let the fact there is no pool put you off from going as the beach is a 5 minute walk away. Our room also had wooden shutters so when closed you could barely hear a thing. We couldnt have asked for more. We will definately return to this wonderful hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so memorable. This is how a hotel should be run.

Beautiful Hotel right in Old Town Estepona. Being quite new everything is lovely. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar on the top floor is great. Our room was very well appointed. NOTE, you cant drive to the hotel at all. There is free parking a 15 min walk away or underground 5 mins away for 17 euros.

The El Pilar is situated in the heart of old town Estepona. It looks an imposing property from the outside, and yet inside it feels modern and smaller. Beautiful attention the detail such as the carved door surrounds to each room. The weather was terrible while we stayed, and we would have liked to option to use a lounge area; the only one the hotel has is in the reception lobby & it was way too cold, wet and windy to use this, so the only option is to relax in your room when in the hotel. The Spa was also closed. Many people comment on the noise in the hotel, and while there was some noise from the hotel bar, Coopers Bar below us, it went quiet around midnight, so wasn’t a problem for us. The staff were all lovely, special shout out to Hosè Antonio the bar man in Coopers Bar. Despite the weather it was a lovely stay and we hope to return and see Estepona in the sunshine.

I stayed at El Pilar last March and returned for one night because of the service, location and beautiful property. The front desk is always helpful and always wear a smile. The recognized I had been there in March, so check in was easy. The roof top bar is awesome as is a light breakfast downstairs.

The cleaners must have told the management it was my birthday because of the cards and when we came back to the room they had left me some chocolate cake and a card, absolutely a lovely place and right in the centre of bars, restaurants and 200 m from the beach. We will definitely come back, thanks to all at the hotel.

The hotel is absolutely fabulous but unfortunately our air conditioning did not work for the whole time we were there despite reporting it to the reception on 10 occasions. This made our sleep virtually impossible and preparing to go out was unbearable

The air conditioning did not work and when reported it was told sometimes it doesn't work which was disappointing because the room temperature was uncomfortable at night. Otherwise it was a spotlessly clean hotel with helpful and patient staff, great location, and lovely rooftop bar.

Loved hotel, great location and a fabulous room with a sun terrace and hot tub. Very nice food. Good selection of food at the buffet breakfast, albeit the serving staff at breakfast were a little chaotic.

Excellent hotel. Great service and very clean. Location was superb. Drinks on the rooftop were amazing. Cooked breakfast could be improved. Soap rack in tub needs to be moved to either end of tub. You bang into it where it is located. Also instructions for coffee maker would be helpful. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Good hotel, good location, good food and good team

Loved everything about this hotel. Staff friendy and super helpful. We was able to leave our luggage in storage at the hotel because we arrive early. Went for a wander and about an hour later they called us to say our room was ready😀 Got to the hotel and they had taken our luggage to the room and even hung my dress up😃 As a surprise for my birthday the hotel had put a bottle of Anna codorniu and chocolate brownies in our room😋 We had our evening meal and breakfast included,both superb. Would highly recommend the bodega resturant,Which is where we ate. We had a choice of 4 resturants. We did also have pre dinner drinks in the English pub..Coopers.. great atmosphere. Breakfast was plentiful, all the usual fayre and any hot food was cooked to order. Our Room was comfortable, hot water, fluffy towels & a dressing gown each. All the toiletries you would need, a hairdryer. Coffee machine & kettle. Mini fridge. free bottle of water The only thing missing was a full length mirror! Everything was absolutely lovely. We will be back😀
