Every year at Christmas our family gathers to celebrate together, since there is 13 of us we rent a cabin. This house is the best we’ve stayed in yet! Communication with the owner was easy with quick response times! The house had everything anyone would need! One of the BEST things about this house was the mattresses on each bed!!! They were awesome and so very comfortable!! Most of the rentals we’ve stayed at did not have good supportive mattresses! The owner left up the Christmas tree and decorations which were beautiful and perfect! The views were amazing even from the two master suites! Hopefully we can stay here again!!

We had a large group of 5 couples and we had everything we needed. The kitchen was supplied with every utensil, pots, pans, dishes and appliances we needed. Even an air fryer. Most important were the 2 coffee pots and a hot water pot for all of us. We built so many fires and the property had plenty of wood at the house. Their was ample space for all of us inside and out. LOVED the swing overlooking the lake and the mountains. Absolutely gorgeous view! Most of all, I would like to thank the amazing property managers! We had no power when we arrived (there was a line hit during some construction in the area). Scott & Lynette provided plenty of lanterns for each of us and continually communicated with us during the outage. They assured us they would take care of us - and they did. They even surprised us with a smore's gift basket for our group as a consolation! SO KIND! Thankfully, the power was restored quickly, but we were impressed with how it was handled by the Martins. They were very responsive. It felt like home here and we really did have the time of our lives! Thank you!

Loved the home and the Views. The home was very clean and stocked (coffee, dishes, etc.) 17 years of the same group of friends this house was certainly one of the best.

Great property, with great amenities. We have been coming up for 4 years, staying at different houses. But i think we found our every year home, if had everything our group of 10 guys needed and then some. Great communication with the leasing manager and easy check in. Will definitely be back for our next golf outing.

Super easy communication with homeowners before checking in. Very quick responses. Homeowners also sent a list of activities going on for the weekend which was awesome!
Upon arrival, parking at home was easy, several level spots for 6-8 cars easily. The kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need or want. And the house is set up so a large group can really spread out and not feel on top of each other. Lots of fun games in basement - ping pong, pool table, foosball table. Then the 2 separate living rooms, fire pit stocked with wood, hot tub, and 2 huge back patios were so great. Also the garage had 2 extra refrigerators, coolers, lawn chairs, and pool noodles to borrow.
Our group goes to Rumbling Bald annually, and everyone agreed this is our favorite house to date! We’ll be back!!!

The Dirty Dancing Lodge was located with a view of a small lake, the golf course area where a scene from Dirty Dancing was filmed and Rumbling Bald Mountain. As the two oldest members of the family, my husband and I spent a lot of time enjoying the views both back and front of the property. The youngest found much to occupy their time. We even saw a bear! I recommend this vacation home.

We had such an incredible time celebrating my folks 60th wedding anniversary and cousins 60th birthday. The house was very clean, roomy and it had plenty of fun things to do to keep everyone busy when at the house. The back porch was perfect for enjoying the amazing view. Our family of my wife and I and our 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren stayed in the "Dirty Dancing House" at the Rumbling Bald Resort at Lake Lure NC. The home was perfect for our group with plenty of bedroom space and gathering spaces. Located just above the 16th hole of the Bald Mountain golf course, we had great views of the Blue Ridge mountains nearby. Everyone in our group, with their varied interests, all found something they liked to do.Some like the pool and beach at the lake, and some enjoyed playing golf. Some just enjoyed relaxing on the spacious decks surrounding the house. We had a great week.

We had five adults and eight children in our group. Everything the home has to offer was used; grill, fire pit, foosball table, pool table, ping pong table, and hot tub. The kitchen is very well stocked. The view from the decks is beautiful. Scott was an outstanding host. He responded quickly to any questions I had. Rumbling Bald has a lot to offer but if you want to get outside the resort, it is 20 - 30 minutes from other attractions (cities of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock).

Dirty Dancing Lodge was a perfect size and layout for our party of 16 family members. There were 4 family units sharing this lodge who all had their own bathrooms and privacy. The common areas were great sizes for our gatherings with no one feeling we were on top of each other. All the amenities on the resort were perfect for all our ages with multiple things that each enjoyed. A perfect place for memory making as we gathered from 4 different states. Really appreciated all the communications/recommendations received from the property manager who truly enhanced our gathering. Would return in a heartbeat.

We arrived in the afternoon and assumed the bed sheets were clean. When 2 beds were found to be gross and not washed we had 2 people end up sleeping on the couch. We had to wash our own sheets the next morning. Also the carpet on the stained and disgusting. We were not even offered some of our money back. The location was great but you will have to deal with a dirty bed.

Wonderful house in Rumbling Bald! We've had three family reunions at Lake Lure and this is our favorite house so far. The house was well-equipped. Scott was an incredible host. He communicated regularly and checked in to make sure everything was going well. We have already reserved for next year!

The property was beautiful—like a park setting! The winding roads and hairpin turns to get to the property set it apart as a retreat from reality! The house we rented was superb—6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a teen’s delights with a ping pong table and a pool table. The spacious upper deck we especially enjoyed with the hot tub. It was a perfect place to sit and view the wildlife! Scott was the perfect host always providing us with information about extra activities and extra info. to make our stay just perfect!

The Dirty Dancing Lodge was perfect for our family of 12 to gather. The home was conveniently located for us to enjoy the amenities of the resort as well as to explore the surrounding area. The well-equipped kitchen and the large grill provided varied options for cooking. The ping-pong and pool tables received lots of use with lively games between family members. Scott was a wonderful host providing information about the resort amenities prior to our stay and communicating with us several times during the week to see if we needed anything. We would definitely choose this lodge again for a family gathering.

If you’re looking for the perfect lake house stop searching! This is the one! The house was everything we were looking for. Great views, plenty of space, and cozy. Plenty amenities and right on the lake. Also right there at great restaurants and Chimney Rock. Scott and his wife were amazing! Book this house!!

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay at Scott's home nestled near Lake Lure. Everything we needed was available for a comfortable stay and Scott repeatedly went out of his way to provide a top notch service even sending his son to drop off a few extra paper products on our last night when we needed them most. Everyone commented on the comfort of their beds and the space offered us a chance to unwind and be comfortable with the hot tub, fire pit, games area and well-equipped kitchen for those family style meals.
Only one thing of note which was our own oversight is it is a rather winding road to get to the place, common for most of this area though it did add a notable amount to travel times for some simple things even or if exploring other sites. Just be prepared to get your supplies and hunker down in cozy comfort because that's exactly what this home offers!

This property was excellent for our family trip, pool table, ping pong, hot tub. Plenty of room to play table games. Not hard to get to. Great fire pit for smores. Bedding was great. Kitchen has everything you need and more, extra refrig and freezer in garage. The was amazing.
Scott and his wife were two of the nicest host I have ever worked with. Hope to go bak again.

This place is great!! Scott was terrific with his communication with us, and truly put forward a genuine effort to make sure we were tended to. The house had all the amenities we were looking for with four adult couples and four infants. They had toddler supplies which was a huge plus. The views on the back deck are beautiful. Our family vacationed in large cabins in the Smokies for 14 years, and this place reminded us a lot of those experiences. The place isn’t for people looking for a luxury, brand new everything, contemporary stay. But if you want plenty of space, a cozy fireplace, plenty of large beds, all the kitchen appliances (air fryer, grill were super nice!), plenty of parking space (we parked 4 large SUV’s and a sedan comfortably), a hot tub, a game room, and beautiful views (granted, it was winter and not summer)—this is your place! Additionally, the resort passes were a really nice bonus feature to access the wellness center. Our family highly recommends!

This property was everything it was advertised to be. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were all able to sit together and have dinner. The views were amazing. But, my favorite things were the little touches. They left us an Ingles card so that we could get groceries at a discount. They left us toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags to get us started and some snacks and a couple of bottles of wine. The hot tub was ready to go and there was even a Christmas tree and chopped wood for the AMAZING fireplace. My absolute favorite thing was that three of the bedrooms had king sized beds. I can not say enough good things about this property. We hope to stay here again in the future. I am really anxious to see the views in the fall! This was my first experience with a VRBO rental and we had the best time! From start to finish, our property managers were welcoming and responsive to any questions I had.
My family, along with two others, have started traveling together over the last several years, as our teenage boys are in school together. The Dirty Dancing house was the perfect size for our group of 11 and the location in Lake Lure offered so much to do! There were two mornings that the dads booked rounds of golf on the two courses in Lake Lure. Another day, our entire group of 11 went to the Cleghorn gun club and shot clays, followed by a couple of hours at the beautiful Brookstone Winery. We also spent the good part of one afternoon picking apples and flowers at Stepp’s Apple Orchard.
The house was fully stocked with plenty of plates, kitchenware, utensils, towels, and tons of refrigerator and freezer space. The kids had plenty of room to hang out, but most nights were spent with all of us around the large dining table, playing Domino’s.
Do yourself a favor and book the Dirty Dancing house for your next vacation. It will not disappoint!!

We rented the Dirty Dancing Lodge to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. The house easily accommodated our group (9 adults, 4 children) and included highchair, toddler plates and accessories, 2 baby gates, washer, and 2 dryers. The kitchen is fully equipped, and a 2nd refrigerator and 2nd freezer are contained in the garage. There is a great hot tub on the deck as well. The view from the main living room, deck, and upstairs bedrooms is amazing! We did have rain for about 2 days, and a blackout of no electricity for about 11 hours. During the outage our property manager went above-and-beyond providing us with flashlights, candles, ice, and continuing updates. We survived that and went on to enjoy the rest of our stay. The Rumbling Bald resort amenities are wonderful! Beautiful pool, lazy river pool, miniature golf course, indoor pool, and beautiful beach with boating available. Despite the challenges, we really enjoyed the use of the property during our stay. It is a great house and a great resort! We plan to return.

Communication with the property managers was timely and helpful. Our group of 12 had plenty of space to accommodate us at this house. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment, dishes, appliances, pots and pans. There was plenty of space to gather or enjoy time alone. We spent so much time on the deck watching golfers, observing nature and gazing at Rumbling Bald. The grounds of the resort are lovely and offer plenty of activities for all ages. I highly recommend staying here.
