This property was ideal there was an abundance of cutlery and crockery the whole place was fantastic. Plenty of space for 6 of us and a dog. Beds very comfortable nothing to not like Ideal location for exploring the lakes easy walking distance to Bowness where there is plenty to do and lots of lovely places to eat and drink Really can not fault this spot

Lovely house. Great location ( although more than a 15 min stroll to bowness) . Really needs a thorough clean as the master bedroom and bathroom were dusty and fusty covered in cobwebs and grime. Found socks under the bed also - defo not ours ! Great garden . Has all equipment you would need so real shame the general maintenance is not up to scratch. Also I think someone came one day to put bins out and threw away bottles I was keeping outside for dog water which wasn’t helpful !

Afternoon tea lovely welcome. Fridge-freezer too small for 8. Lovely garden & outdoor seating. Beautiful views. Good parking. Very peaceful. Fantastic furnishings in all rooms. Took several days to sort out toilet seat which was already broken on arrival. Wasps nest under bedroom window not sorted out despite mentioned on 2nd day. We were there for 2 weeks. We would have liked clean towels and bed linen after the first week. We would be happy to stay again in this beautiful home.

Fantastic location which is close enough to facilities yet far enough away to really get away from it all, there is nothing not to like, the house is well equipped with everything you need and the outside space is amazing. Would not hesitate to stay again- everyone left happy and refreshed after a tough 12 months - just what we all needed.

Great location. Lots of walking from the property. Considering there was a 4 month lockdown, we did think this place would have received the thorough clean it deserves. First job was to give the kitchen a good once over, clean the dishes and utensils we would be using for the week, and ignore the remaining items. Considering we were there for 7 days, the owner, and I believe the person who probably lives there in-between rentals, turned up 3 times. A bit odd. Watering can be done thoroughly once/week. Other than that, we had a fab week.

Excellent. Everything was absolutely as described and shown on the comprehensive range of photographs. We had the wettest week of the autumn, but in summer with the patio furniture in position it will be even better!

The property is in a great location with amazing views of Lake Windermere in the distance. The only one thing we felt about the property is that it had too much furniture and breakables in it. Would love to visit again in the summer to take advantage of the outside space.

On arrival the house was very clean, great area, great facilities and an easy check in/check out using a lock box. We were celebrating my mums birthday and there was a fresh cake and tea set all laid out for us on arrival which was such a lovely touch! Thank you

I wanted a holiday with my family. My parents are elderly & over the last year have both suffered health problems which makes it difficult to go on holiday on their own. I wanted to book a cottage to make it feel like home from home & this is exactly what I got but on a much grander scale. The property was beautiful, fully equipped with everything u could possibly need, the location was picture perfect looking out we could see lake Windermere. The outdoor seating areas were perfect for us all to sit out on an afternoon once we got back from sightseeing for the day. Checking in & out was very easy. This property was more than I could have wished for, my parents both felt safe & very very relaxed, we all had an amazing holiday which was made that more special because of the accommodation, I would highly recommend this as somewhere to stay if you are staying in the Lake District

This property was one of the best rentals we've ever had. The house itself is beautiful, with distant elevated views of Lake Windermere, in a peaceful quiet position away from the roads. Everything was perfectly clean and never have we had such a selection of kitchen utensils! The only drawback is because of the house's age, all the toilets are upstairs, but its a small sacrifice to pay for such a lovely spot!

Fullfilled our expectations, and was a very well equipped property , with lovely gardens, and excellent views. The lanes were quiet, ideal for dog walking, select neighbourhood, and manicured lawns at all the surrounding propeyand verges. Stylish and elegant, whilst being homely.

Exactly what was needed for our family. A little old fashion in part but very comfortable for all of that. Excellent bathrooms although the bedding was a little tired and more luxury of bedding given the price paid and better and more towels would have really enhanced the stay. The best element for us, because the weather was kind, was the outside space. Really excellent facility with a lovely view and everso quiet. We enjoyed our stay ... thank you.

What a fantastic family holiday. The house is stunning and couldn’t be better equipped. Photos really don’t do it justice. Perfect for our base for a walking holiday but would be equally suited to just chilling. Loved all the outside areas for sitting and the views are magnificent. So quiet yet close to Bowness-on-Windermere. Couldn’t have been more perfect. Hope to stay again.

Home from home with a view of the lake

As we stayed at the property for Christmas I asked for a tree, we got so much more than that, the decorations where beautifully done and the mince pies, wine and tea/coffee and milk where very much appreciated. Plenty of space inside, bedrooms are very comfortable, 3 bathrooms 2 of which en-suite. The kitchen was very well equipped in fact we made Christmas dinner, plenty of additional accessories to dress the dinning room table to make the day special. The dogs loved the space outside and the location is perfect for any area of the Lake District you care to visit. The home owner clearly cares that every visitor enjoys their stay, there was lots of literature showing local activities, I found the short walk book very useful, thought was even taken to ensure we had a Christmas TV guide. If the weather is a bit poor you can log into Netflix, Amazon and other on demand sites through the smart TV or read some of the wonderful books available. We loved our stay so much we are hoping to re book for summer. We can’t thank the owner enough for making our stay special, we didn’t want to come home.

An amazing cottage, with so much space for all the family. We were a family of 7, but never felt like we were under one another's feet at all. The bedrooms were spacious and clean and enough room for everyone. The kitchen had everything in, that you could possibly need for a holiday stay. The gardens at the front of the cottage, were comfortable with plenty of seating for all the family. Together with great off road parking for 4 cars. Would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to return.

The location was perfect, minutes away from Lake Windermere. Had a great relaxing holiday to celebrate my birthday. Many places to visit such as Blackwell House. Afternoon tea at Storr Hall.
