Brown House has always been one of the places I would stay. the breakfast is always good. the rooms are clean, and the staff is very pleasant.
They removed the pool. That was one of the highlights of the property. Unfortunately that is one thing I always look for in Thailand. I didn’t know they removed it.

Very clean older hotel with a tranquil setting overlooking a small lake near the center of Udon Thani. Decent sized room with a balcony and comfortable furniture
Location was remote despite being so close to the city center. Without a car you would fee trapped at the hotel with little amenities other than a walkable local Thai buffet restaurant.

they wanted to charge for every little service…$150 baht for me to use a bottle opener to open a bottle of my own wine..I understand a charge but that is outrageous

Brown House is simple yet homely. It is well kept and the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful without being overbearing. Everything Brown House does, it does well. I will most definitely be visiting again.

No swimming pool, its currently advertised with a pool, obviously recently removed, I went there planning to relax, swim with my partner. Disgraceful you have pool advertised.
