The room was big and everything was first class

Very convenient, we had to leave our home for fumigation and this was very convenient for us.
The room was comfortable only it had an antiseptic smell that was not pleasant. We had brought our own linen so we used it instead.

Location was ok. Not great, but ok.
Excessively, offensively, strong odor of laundry detergent and mold permeated the room, requiring a half hour of open door and windows before my wife and I were able to reduce the smell sufficiently to close the door and commit to staying the night. Bed had a bottom sheet but lacked a top sheet. Mattress was excessively soft, leaving us with the impression that it should have been replaced years ago. Couch was similar. Both bed and couch were, as a result, uncomfortable.

It was super comfortable . The check in is really easy . The rooms are beautiful . It's quite . I left my necklace and the lady still has it when I called . I mean everything about this set up is perfect . Nobody bugged us. It's just another stress no hassle place . I plan on sticking with them and probably no other hotel . The price is well worth it

Very cute and great location just steps from the heart of downtown Carlsbad. Easy check in and check out, and nice amenities if you wanted to use them, such as beach chairs, a refrigerator. There is a great patio and deck to sit outside with friends.
They offer a keurig coffee and tea option in the lobby but I personally strongly prefer a coffee option in my room, as I don't want to have to leave the room/get dressed to have a morning coffee. Very minor point, but it really is valuable to me to have it in room.

The property was listed as a 4-star hotel. It was an older style motel when I arrived. The furniture and decor were from 1972. The bed, however, was comfortable.

Breakfast? Where was it? I saw a Nature Valley bar and a coffee maker....but never saw any breakfast
Instructions in the room about WHERE to get breakfast. Also, after midnight and after 1:20 a.m., there were people arriving and the cars are in the driveway, running....waking people up. The people were also looking at HOW to get into their rooms, so that was a pain in the ass....

It was clean and easy to check in. The room was also very cozy given that I was there in the middle of an extended rain storm. It was also conveniently located.
I think it would have been helpful to have received some additional information regarding parking before the visit, but it was easy to get assistance with questions.

Perfectly located close to the beach, parking and the coaster train. Many good restaurants are available nearby. The bad had a bathtub. The bed is an incredibly comfortable feather bed. The room had windows on three sides and a (gas) Fire place.
As normal with American houses, because of the thin walls, you hear noises from the outside and without heating it got quickly cold.

we loved everything about it. there was parking, it had a feeling of staying with family. the bed was super comfortable and we loved having a fireplace in the room. we definitely have plans to return here.
