Location was perfect.

Parking was a bit confusing but then we were there during the eclipse and everyone wanted to be up in Vermont. Still no problem.

Wow! Welcoming from the moment we walked in. Beautiful decor, clean, great scenic views, comfy, well equipped. What a gem - and right behind a great coffee shop!

All was great.

Nice layout, right behind coffee place which blocks the traffic noice.

Dog friendly but had to drive downtown which has nice trails right behind the iconic church to walk the dog. Smuglers notch, be aware that Google maps does not know that the road past Stowe is closed in winter. If you plan to ski there, it is a good 1 hour around

The property is only 15 minutes to the mountain and less than two miles from town so it is in a good location. The house is well equipped in the kitchen (it is missing a 4th knife and wine and beer glasses though.)

There is no lock on the interior door except for a tiny ineffectual chain on a hollow door. There are no hooks, closets, dressers, boot trays. The sofa cushions are stained and the throw blankets have crusty stains that are very unappealing. The biggest problem is that Vacasa does not know the property and can’t help and does not respond to problems. We lost power in a big storm. It came back several hours later but Vacasa could never tell us how to get the heat back on even though we had power and the furnace was blowing more cold air into the property. Vacasa should be familiar with the heating system, the lock system, the internet system and should be able to talk the renters through problems that may arise.
