Great location, great accomodation!

Everything was great! The walking distance to the city center. The beach was very near. The accomodation has everything you need to not to worry about anything. It was comfortable and clean. And our host was very helpful.

We paid by credit card and gave Euro100 in cash as a damage deposit. We got this back. Parking was in the street and we had no problem getting a park nearby. It was free. It could be a bit noisy during the day but was quiet at night. The two bedroom apartment was comfortable. There were plenty of cupboards and drawers. There were 4 barstools at the counter and a sofa. A large balcony outside had a table and 4 chairs and two sunloungers. There was a view of a quiet part of the wharf area. We had a great view of the cranes that light up at night. There was a washing machine and drying rack. The kitchen had a large fridge freezer, 2 gas hot plates and a microwave. It had a heat pump air con. The apartment is on the third floor - lots of stairs and no lift. It was a 5 minute drive to the old town and arena. A modern shopping mall with a large supermarket and a lovely beach were easy walking distance. There were many more beaches an easy drive away.

We had a bit of trouble getting to then into the apartment. Unfortunately our phones did not work in Croatia. The address on booking.com was not recognised by our Sat Nav but we had printed a map to show where the apartment was so found our way there. We arranged to meet Katy between 4 and 5pm and were told where to find a key by email. We had emailed to say our phones were unreliable and we my not be able to ring her wjhen we arrived. When we got there, there was no indication to show which was the apartment we were staying in. We waited well past 5pm and no sign of Katy. My husband eventually went to a bar down the street and a kind English speaking person rang Katy for us. She arrived quickly and all was well. This would not have been a problem if we could have phoned her ourselves. It was a bit the same when we left. We arranged to contact her by WhatsApp and gave her a time we thought we would be leaving. She didn't get our first message so we had to wait after we were all packed up. The only other thing I personally didn't like was the bed was against the wall at the top half. This didn't allow for a bedside light or anywhere to put a book, etc. It was also difficult to get in and out of bed.
