- How cosy and relaxed you feel on that terrace with such gorgeous garden. - The location: nice good restaurant and beach restaurant nearby, a bar with a free swimming pool on a perfect location on the shore to enjoy the sunset. - How extremely friendly and helpful the owners and their family are ( a plus: they speak perfect English and Spanish). - The possibility to take a boat taxi to Dubrovnik from a little pier which is at 10’ walking distance or less. - Parking on the property

I’d rather have a more private terrace. But since it was an accommodation to mainly spend the night and enjoy the breakfast with a beautiful view, it was just perfect!!

Carpe Diem Apartments in Plat is the perfect place to stay in the Dubrovnik surroundings. Located in a quiet part of the coast, it offers fantastic local beaches within walking distance, while providing easy acces to Dubrovnik, Cavtat and the rest of the Dubrovnik coast - both the bus stop and the pier where you can catch a boat taxi are a 5 minute walk from the accommodation. If you arrive by car, the apartments offer a private parking tucked away from the street. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, equipped with a full kitchen and all utensils and cooking supplies. All of these great impressions are taken to another level by the hosts. On arrival we were treated to Frano's homemade walnut liqueur and fresh figs from his garden. Every day we would find a new plate of delicious fresh figs that we kept simply devouring, to our delight and that of Frano himself. We had many great conversations with Frano and his wife Senka, but their presence was never obtrusive - we would often need to remind them that we enjoy talking to them and they don't have to take their leave. They went out of their way to accommodate us in every possible way, and we felt like we were visiting family friends more. Recommendations for good restaurants, secluded beaches, inexpensive parking spots and local cultural events were never in short supply. We initially booked three nights but extended another three. I can not recommend Carpe Diem highly enough, and we will surely be back to stay with Frano and Senka any time we come back to Dubrovnik.

Beautiful outlook from the apartment and very friendly host. Loved how close it was to the beach and the peace and quiet. Beautiful gardens and we'll equipped apartment. Close proximity and only a short bus drive to Cavtat. Boat taxi collects you for Dubrovnik. Fantastic

Nothing to dislike. Would have been good to have a small shop nearby but host Fran was very kind and took us to the supermarket.

With the information supplied on booking.com was really very difficult to find the apartment because the name of the village is not Mlini but Plat and the operator at the call canter of booking.com was not cooperative to help us.
