Modernized building with nice design.

For the very high price, we expected a significantly better experience. I do not recall that I ever stayed in such a small room; there was absolutely no space to open our suitcase other than on the bed itself as the bed (which was uncomfortably small) literally almost fills the entire surface of the room. Also no closet fir hanging cloths. These shortcomings aren’t made up by the location either: the hotel faces some ugly 1980’s office buildings and it is a long walk to the city centre. And lastly, the parking should have been included in the price of the room (give the out-if-centre location and the already high price). I absolutely don’t mind paying a lot of money for my hotels but it has ti be worth the money, and this hotel wasn’t that at all.

Parking de l'hotel au prix de 25 EUR la nuit, que je trouve assez honéreux, si on y dort plus d'une nuit, c'est un budget à rajouter. Petit déjeuner à 22 EUR, nous ne l'avons pas testé, nous trouvons cela très cher également et avons préféré bruncher ou prendre le café en ville.

The staff were all very professional and nice. Very nice design, interesting art throughout.

Our deluxe room on 1F had an emergency exit. It was noisy early in the morning but the biggest issue was the dank smell in the bathroom. It smelled like a back alley or basement toilet whenever the bathroom door was open. It was so strong, we ended up having to leave the bathroom door closed with the light on to keep the exhaust fan on throughout the night.

This is a repeated stay as hotel was accommodative to keep our big suitcase while we traveled for 2 weeks in the region. Also appreciate the front desk staff being proactive to call us a taxi to the station knowing the morning demand is high before I asked. Thank you!

Mentioned before, just a small nuance with bigger furniture or lighting choice for a small size room.

A very welcoming reception from the minute we walked in. Great service from the bar and felt very at home. Great decoration and rooms are very well lit and have everything you need. Will definitely recommend and will definitely return on our next visit to Bordeaux.

Hotel and room is what you see in the photos. The decor is very nice and room is very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

No air conditioning - it was broken in all 3 of our rooms and was very uncomfortable. Staff could not fix it and they have no maintenance person. Rooms are very small (lovely), but very small. Cocktail bar closes at 10pm and only wine and beer served afterwards - no one told us.

Everything about this hotel was perfect for our mini-break to Bordeaux! We were on a tram from the airport within 30 minutes of landing, the tram dropped us only a 200 metre walk from The Marty Hotel. The hotel itself was just lovely, we received a very warm welcome on arrival and the reception staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Our room was very well appointed, nice and quiet, lovely decor, a very large comfortable bed and very welcome 'black out' curtains which ensured lots of quality sleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Bordeaux, it's located only a 7-10 minute walk from the centre of the town.

Location was perfect, the decor was so different-really nice. Outstanding front of house staff. So professional, friendly, always willing to assist. Bar staff also amazing especially Oriane.

Maybe bedroom floors could be cleaner

The concierges were wonderful, they are professional, very understanding, like they can read your mind, knowing what I was going to ask or say, and answer with great smile, it was really nice to have such a great experiences with them. The hotel is great for two people stay for one night without big luggage, the place is on point and just like the photos, very clean, very cozy, perfect!

While staying at the hotel, I encountered a minor inconvenience in the bathroom. Initially, when I attempted to take a shower, I noticed that the water was not draining properly. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the drain needed to be pushed down to allow the water to flow smoothly. Although this was a bit confusing at first, I managed to resolve the issue quickly. On a positive note, I found the water bottle branded with the hotel's logo, "Marty," to be a clever business idea. Not only does it serve as a practical souvenir for guests, but it also effectively promotes the Marty brand. By turning the water bottle into a merchandise item, the hotel creates a unique marketing opportunity. However, I noticed that the price of the water bottle was the same for all guests, regardless of whether they paid for it or not. In my opinion, the hotel could enhance this concept by implementing differential pricing. By offering a lower price or special incentives for guests who choose to purchase the water bottle honestly, the hotel could encourage more guests to participate in this enjoyable aspect of their stay.

The parking was next door, and secure. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially with our luggage.

The description in Booking.com states there is a microwave oven in the room, and a dishwasher, so we bought two meals to microwave at the hotel. But according to the staff none of the rooms has ever had a microwave or dishwasher. But the staff used their own microwave to heat up our meals for us. The staff were really good.

Staff were friendly.

Room was damp. Also smelled damp. Windows were not really draft proof and I think created the humidity. Location ok around 10-15 min walk to the centre.
