Always appreciated when the description of the home is spot on!

My family of six adults thoroughly enjoyed staying at the house. The views from the upstairs sitting room are beautiful. The kitchen was stocked and we loved the large table to have breakfast. We had record cold (some snow) while we were there but the house was well heated. Only concern was the trash/recycle procedures. We are not from an area that recycles so we had no idea what was recyclable and what wasn't. Other than the anxiety of not getting fined for not recycling properly, we had a wonderful time in the house and would highly encourage others to stay.

Great location for staying and visiting the Seattle area. So close to Alki and the rest of what West Seattle has to offer and a short drive to the Ballard locks, Seattle aquarium, the Museum of Flight and so much more. The HUGH selection of Legos and other kid friendly toys was a bonus for our 2 boys!

The views are amazing! My 11th grade Girl Scouts loved staying here! The upstairs family room with the panoramic view of the skyline is absolutely stunning. They loved watching Twilight and Gray’s Anatomy on the large couch after long days of sightseeing. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is fantastic. Our only concerns were the dull kitchen knives and poor quality dish/handsoaps.

Super cool house to stay in with a nice view. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay. The views were fabulous and the location was perfect. Easy walk to the ferry so we didn't have to take a car downtown. The lights at night were spectacular, only wish the weather had cooperated a little more so would could have taken advantage of the porch more often.
Only one caveat - I understand how old houses can be, but between the weather and the age of the property anyone with bad allergies will want to be sure and bring allergy medication, I was very affected by the mustiness and had to take allergy meds every day during our stay.

The Big Blue House was the perfect place for our family of 5. Close to the grocery store & water taxi to downtown!
A quick drive to Lumen Field for the concert which was truly amazing. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. Thank you!

The neighborhood and house were beautiful! It's a great location with great views. Nick and Sharon were very helpful with telling us about things in the area!

I booked this property because I had friends coming together to celebrate birthdays, friendships, and all the other goodness in life. The Big Blue House was absolutely perfect! There were plenty of sitting areas to gather and visit. The house was so unique with fantastic views. It was cozy and absolutely charming. The neighborhood was so peaceful. You could look out at the city but not be in it. It was a perfect place to enjoy time with friends and soak up the beautiful weather (yes, we lucked out with some great weather!) My friends all loved it as well! I would most definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Admiral property to offer a few days of jet lag decompression for my parents, and to start off a summer family to British Columbia. The house was just as described by the owner and seconded by the great reviews that helped us make our decision to stay there. Absolutely fabulous location, and perfect accommodation for a large family.

Would go back anytime. Great place, clean, comfortable and very close to the water front.

This place was absolutely beautiful!! That front porch was one of the best parts of this house. We sat out there and had coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings, watching the water. There were six of us and we were all very comfortable. We were in Seattle for a concert and the house was a quick Uber ride to Lumen Field. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive. We will definitely stay here again!!!

Our family had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home in West Seattle. The location was perfect with amazing views of downtown and the Sound. The house was well stocked and spacious. It feels like a family home and we loved it. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Seattle.

Aside from the house not having air conditioning during a very hot week (despite the breeze from the water, it gets very hot upstairs and you will need fans to be even remotely comfortable), the house itself was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the front porch and sat outside nearly every evening enjoying the views. My daughter was delighted by all the legos and the bunk beds.
Communication with the owners was very timely and we had no problem getting checked in.
We would definitely stay here again (but maybe in cooler weather).

We had a great stay. The house had everything thing we needed, and the views of Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline were spectacular. The host was extremely responsive to any questions we had, always replying right away. Would highly recommend!

Big family wedding at Salty’s and my family had the best access to/from downtown with the ferry and Safeway grocery store just down California Avenue. Bedding and bath towels were clean and fresh with abundance of hot water for all to get ready for the evenings. Neighborhood is quiet and family friendly. House has so much character!!

This house was perfectly located within walking distance to the ferry across to down town Seattle. The home was exactly as advertised and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

We stayed two nights here to explore Seattle before heading off to Olympic National Park. The house and setting are lovely, especially the covered porch. We read Harry Potter #6 on the porch before bedtime and the sunset and light breeze were the perfect backdrop. We would definitely stay again.

The location of the house is beautiful and the house is very quaint. We had a beautiful view of the water and the skyline. We enjoyed sitting out and enjoying it in the evenings. It was a nice walk to the Water Taxi that takes you into downtown in under 15 minutes. Also there are eating places within half a mile. I would especially recommend Mioposto Pizzeria.
The only two issues we encountered is that the oven was very dirty and the previous renters had put soiled diapers and garbage in one of the recycling bins in the house which had not been cleaned before the house was rented to us. This was stinking up the house and we had to dispose it. My request to the owner is to check all the bins to make sure that they are all empty.
I would highly recommend this house.

We have been to Seattle, and to Alaska before. When we decided to make this trip again, we wanted to take some friends along and stay away from downtown. We wanted to have a more intimate, homey, experience. The Big Blue House did not disappoint! The decor was warm and inviting. Anything you could possibly want was provided, from a well equipped kitchen, to extra blankets and pillows. The views from every window was spectacular! But we found ourselves constantly drawn again and again to the extensive front porch! With comfortable seating, stunning views, and the warm hellos we received from the neighbors, we truly felt like real Seattleites. When we get back to Seattle we’re going to stay with you again! It was magically relaxing!

We loved staying at the Queen Anne home in West Seattle!
The bedrooms were great and allowed for a variety of options. The seating arrangements inside and outside were cozy, although a couple of the couches and loveseats could stand an upgrade. The kitchen was well equipped but should be stocked with basic supplies like oil. Seniors should be aware that all bedrooms are on the second floor and the stairs to the laundry in the basement are steep and without a bannister. All things considered, the home was lovely and very charming, and we enjoyed our stay there immensely.

We had (2) families for (3) nights and had the best time. The house was well equipped with anything we needed. Lots of kids movies and games which my three year old enjoyed. Would stay again.

The home is a classic Victorian complete with turret, porch, garden & squeaky floors. Perfect for a romantic or mystery novel.
The view was exquisite, especially from the upper floor & we enjoyed watching the boat traffic & birds. The neighborhood is lovely & quiet.
This is a perfect home for families or couples traveling together.
The kitchen & bathrooms have been updated perfectly and the bed is comfortable, clean & there’s lots of clothes storage & clean towels.
We enjoyed our stay very much & definitely would return and recommend.
Our only alert would be to anyone with mobility issues. This is not the home for you as everything requires climbing stairs, including accessing the home and all bedrooms are upstairs.

We drove from Vancouver, BC to Seattle and had a great vacation at the blue house on the hill. House was perfect for a large family. Very close to being downtown and very quiet neighbourhood. We've never stayed in West Seattle before so was a real treat. Our kids are used to sleeping with blackout curtains, so the only issue we had was waking when the sun came up, but oh well. Highly recommend the house and area.

We loved staying here and would definitely choose this house again! The weather was beautiful and a bit warm for the season but we were able to stay very comfortable. We opened windows upstairs and used the fans to pull the breeze inside. The beautiful porch was our favorite space and we took advantage of the views and the cooling breeze! Great Mother’s Day trip to visit my daughter in the area.

We had a great stay at this property. The location and house are both amazing. We had a lot of trouble contacting the owner/manager before we checked in--the number on the email confirmation was not in service and they did not receive our email request for an early check in until after we had checked in. Once at the house, one of the two toilets on the upper floor stopped working (flushing mechanism was broken) and the property manager was not able to address the issue or call a plumber during our stay.

We stayed at the house on a long weekend vacation with 2 Grandmas, 2 moms, and 2 teenage girls.
The description was a little misleading, as it says there are 2 twin beds in the upstairs family room. There are 2 twin mattresses that can be used on the floor in that room, which was fine for us, just a little misleading.
The rest of the house is fantastic! It's an older home, but kept up very well. It was clean and comfortable, in a safe neighborhood. We didn't cook a lot, but the kitchen seemed well stocked.
The views are great, the front porch is so very charming and the back patio is cute and well kept.
We walked down to the water taxi, and skipped the Seattle driving traffic.
Great restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores, and Alki Beach. Would recommend this house if you want to be close to Seattle, but not in the city
We had a great time at this house!

This old house is almost 120 years old and showing her age but also irreplaceable character and charm. There have been a few upgrades over the years but she is basically in her original form. Great spaces indoor and out, something very comfortable and relaxing about this place. Nice but not fussy or stuffy, best West Seattle location with good restaurants nearby. Would definitely rent again.

My daughter and her best friends enjoyed the weekend at this beautiful home. It is something that you cannot get in a hotel. They had a feeling of community and not tourist. They loved it!!!

We had a lovely time during our stay in seattle with family/friends traveling from PA, CA, OR, STL and AZ. This cottage was great for central meeting, walking to and from to the other rentals and all around enjoyable home and neighborhood. Highly recommend this North Admiral Rental. Great location for Downtown ALKI and views are amazing. Can't wait to return since we have a grandbaby on the way and need to visit often!
