Traveled to Boston area for family funeral. Great location. Very comfortable for ten adults and an infant. Property owner/manager very good about answering emails quickly. Would love to return for a happier occasion.

The house is in a great location, lots of comfy beds and well equipped. It was as described for sure. Our only issue was that we contacted the owner after arrival because one of the doors would not unlock and this is a major safety hazard. He took awhile to reply, when he did he did not understand what I was telling him and when I tried to explain and ask about it again, we did not hear back. Hoping they fix the front door dead bolt- as this is a huge safety issue in case of fire!

We were grateful for the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property, with such easy access to the town and the waterfront!

Our family group of 10 had a wonderful stay at the Harlow House. Plenty of space, very comfortable beds, very clean. The upstairs king BR shares a hall bathroom with one of the queen BRs. The other upstairs queen has it's own bathroom. The main level queen BR accesses the common 1/2 bath on that floor. The bunk rooms downstairs would have accommodated several more easily and has the 3rd full bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped - so easy to be able to fix your own breakfasts and we cooked in 2 nights out of 3. Easy walk to the historic Plymouth waterfront, bagels/delis/cafe's, seafood shacks. Good WIFI. The hot tub and back patio space was a bonus. FYI, Woods Seafood on the public wharf has great fried seafood to eat in/ take out, but also has an excellent seafood market. We grilled fresh swordfish one night and ordered pre-steamed/ pre-cracked lobsters for another night.
Scott was very responsive to our questions. We would certainly come back.

A mix of modern and antique decor with fabulous updates and old fashioned design made this an
interesting, convenient, and comfortable home for our family who were attending a wedding in the area. Close to attractions, restaurants, and convenience stores, many of which are within walking distance.

My son and my amazing daughter in law were married on Labor Day weekend 2023. We almost filled the house. Having grown up in New England I can say that this house is an excellent representation of a first period home. It is old. The floors are sloped. It is quirky, there are nooks and crannies, there is character.
Rob T. was correct the bed on the main floor is soft. All other beds are medium bordering on firm. We had a room swap on the second night, one couple found the second floor bed too firm and the guest found the soft bed too soft. After the swap all were very satisfied with their sleep.
We had a great time around the fire pit, in the hot tub and dinners on the deck. We enjoyed meandering on the path down to the mill stream and watching the people walk by. We walked to Plymouth center and enjoyed exploring the beach.

The house was perfect for our large gang. We could walk to so many different locales, historical/cultural/essential. We biked easily over to Long Beach and enjoyed the trails that take off from behind the house. We love to cook and felt very well supplied by what’s available in the kitchen! The home is comfortable, cool, clean and safe for our littlest children.

Our stay was great. We didn't have any problems. Everything in town was in walking distance or otherwise not a far drive and everything was entertaining enough for all ages.

Enjoyed having the space of a home. Fully equipted kitchen. Loved sitting on deck and using the fire heater and the hot tub. Very relaxing. Within walking distance of many places

Great space for teens/kids. Beautiful older home with stairs that are age appropriate. Older family will need to be able to walk without assistance.

This property is a very old house, floors are not level, old nails sticking up....do not want to walk around without shoes. Property was not ready for over an hour after our check in time...cleaners asked us to help with the laundry. Toilet downstairs was broke. Shower downstairs didn't work...that was fixed on the second day. Icemaker did not work. Bed in the main floor bedroom had a mattress that is so broken down that it was hard to stay in the bed without rolling out. if you closed the bedroom door all the way, it was impossible to open from the inside...luckily there is a second door that opened. Location is great.

We come to town every holiday season to see family and this location is perfect. Great for families with kids. Very roomy and has all the amenities you need. Highly recommend

Location Location Location. Walking distance to downtown sights. We visited for Thanksgiving and loved to be able to just walk anywhere in town. The house is Old so it was a little drafty (some window gaps) and some road noise from the street but that was expected. The Host has done a great job maintaining the house and keeping it up to date with current amenities. The kitchen needed a little cleaning but the rest of the house including bathrooms was spotless. We didn't have time to enjoy the jacuzzi but maybe on our next visit. Yes, I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area that would like a house close to everything and appreciates historic homes.

We had a great stay - loved the location. The accommodations worked well for our group. Only one issue: outlet in 1st floor powder room was not working .

We were in Massachusetts to bury our mother, four sisters and families. Plenty of space to spread out. Comfortable beds and everything you need. In a great location to "do" Plymouth on foot. Hope to return in a few years.

We had a great stay with family. The location was good. We were able to walk to the waterfront and enjoy what Plymouth had to offer. The house has lots of charm. It was very nice but because of its historical nature, it has some issues. We originally booked for 13 guests. Three of our family (1 adult and 2 kids) were unable to make it. That was fortunate since no one wanted to sleep in the downstairs area. The downstairs would be a fantastic place for a group of teenaged kids, but all but one of our grandkids are young and they were not comfortable down there. It is probably because we were there during the heat wave and because the house is old that it was musty smelling in some places, like the downstairs and the master suite. It was not over-powering but I'm very sensitive to smells so it affected me.
Our grandkids had a kick of watching balls roll from the front part of the house to the back, due to the slant of the floors. Their parents weren't so keen on that while sleeping since their bed, even with the blocks under the bottom legs, was still quite slanted. There were a few minor issues we noted for the owner but they did not affect our trip. All in all, it was a great stay. I do have to agree with one of the other reviews that the Rules and Regulations posted all over the house and in the emails were a bit much. We also felt the fees were quite high. One last note: I rated communication with 4 stars because I asked a minor question before we checked in that was never answered. However, when we were there and had a question about the spa that needed an answer, we got an almost immediate response.

Staying in this historic house was such a unique experience for our family! Couldn't recommend a better place for a big group space - tons of private sleeping spaces, amazing kitchen and dining area for socializing, and the outdoor patio and overlook are superb. The house is very well maintained and cared for in an unbeatable location. Could not have asked for a better stay!

Historic home was updated but retained its historic charm. It was clean of its age. Pretty well stocked. Fresh flowers was a nice touch. Location is really tough to beat - Historic Plymouth is walkable from this location. In town yet quite peaceful back deck. Our family would certainly stay at this property again.
A couple negatives:
- Deck was not repaired on time as the host had indicated. The large damaged portion was unusable with little kids.
- Many fees associated with the listing. The daily price is quite fair but there are a surplus of fees, from our experience more than other VRBO properties
- Many rules and threats of large fees/fines for non=compliance
= Hot tub area seems recorded on video - kinda creepy

A number of friends and I rented this home for a golf weekend and it accommodated 12 of us with no issue. The property owner has invested in kitchen and bathroom renovations that made our stay more comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the patio in the back, which overlooks a riverwalk after finishing our days on the links. The house is within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, the ocean and historical attractions. We will very likely be renting this property again next year if it's available.

Beautiful historic house, with well appointed kitchen. Walking distance from many points of interest including historical sites and a great downtown area to explore. We held a scavenger hunt that was hugely successful walking and exploring Plymouth, then back to the great house. Nice hot tub, but cannot use after 10pm was our only negative. Understandable in historic area of town, but we would have used it beyond 10pm if allowed.

This house was in a perfect location and has great bedroom options for families to stay. We wanted to love this historical gem; however, the communication of the host and the conditions of the house were terrible for our stay. To start, shortly before our stay, I received a message that the porch was destroyed during a recent storm. When responding to question the safety of this for the two 3 year olds in our party, I did not receive a response. Closer to the stay, I sent another message asking again. In that message, I also asked about early check in so we could get this kids a nap in. I received a canned response about the possibility renting it the night before our stay and after our stay as it was available to us. So, a couple days beforehand, I reached out again about safety and early check in. Another canned response. The day before, I finally received a response saying that the house was rented the night before and that they were cleaning/decorating for Christmas so we could maybe check in around 2/3. He also mentioned that some workers would be coming by to work on the porch during our stay—a problem given that we have small children and we’re planning to celebrate the holidays quietly together as a family. So, my brother was the first to arrive and calls to tell me there is a hole in the front of the house with some plastic tarps over it and a cold draft coming in through that hole into the living room. This was the first I heard of it. When I reached out to the owner via the VRBO message, I did not receive a response. I called and it went straight to voicemail. I texted, no response. The next day, workers show up and instead of the porch, they worked to cover up the hole noisily outside the living room all day. We learned from the workers that the hole was from a drunk driver who hit the house the weekend before and that there was some structural issues. In other words, the house was questionably livable. Not to mention the owner did not inform us of the hole and likely lied about another party staying the night before. If we had known, we would have certainly liked the opportunity to cancel and find another option.
Recognizing that our situation is unlike most, our biggest complaints besides the hole, the porch, and the communication was that there were nails popped up on the floor ripping one of the kid’s foot open and the main floor bed/mattress was not usable.
Overall, disappointed, especially because of the potential!

We booked this property primarily for its great location and the cool looking back deck/fire pit/jacuzzi. Unfortunately a bad storm swept through the week before we arrived and took out the entire back deck. The property manager did not notify us prior to our arrival despite me reaching out via the app asking if the property was ok post storm. We arrived with three small kids in tow and a dangerous situation in the backyard-caution tape haphazardly roped up. We get that this was out of their hands but the right thing to do would have been to notify us in advance. After I reached out again conveying our disappointment-I got what seemed to be an automatic response from the manager that did not address the back deck. When I reached out again and called him out on the canned responses-finally he acknowledged me and said he thought he sent us a message warning us….Other than some broken items here and there in the house which we documented upon arrival —this is where the cons of our stay ended. The house itself easily feels like home. Paper products and disinfectant wipes, a multitude of appliances, fully equipped kitchen and cooking tools. The host has thought of all the small details-for example Robes for the jacuzzi, makeup remover wipes and toiletries in each shower. Other than our initial disappointment in the lack of honest communication-we do recommend this property and think it’s the perfect place to spend a holiday weekend or any long weekend with friends or family.

My family arrived from all over the world to enjoy a wonderful reunion in an ideal setting. The backyard is private and nice, the town exciting and close and the house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

This property was perfect. Such history but lovely updates including everything to make our family feel very comfortable. Walking distance to great restaurants, the "Plymouth rock," a beautiful walking path. Bunks were fun for our kids to sleep in, kitchen had all the basics we could have wanted. Loved our time there!

We had a fantastic time in Plymouth! The house was walking distance to town and the historical district. The house was clean and had every amenity we needed. I personally appreciate the history associated with the home and knowing we were staying in a place with such rich American history. Local restaurants were amazing—we hadn’t planned on it, but ended up eating out every night. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home and town with us!

Perfect accommodations for a large family gathering. Historic house which everyone was in awe of. Great back yard with hot tub, huge table, awesome views and greenery. Able to cook large meals but also walking distance to restaurants and the waterfront. Can you say quaint? Yes! Had so much fun it passed too quickly. Would definitely rent it again.

Enjoyed the backyard deck and green space very much. The old house was charming. I would say not well suited to children, lacking any board games or puzzles. There were a few young child books., problem with refrigeration, but owner sent repair person. Comfortable for 4 couples and additional communal space for short singles.

Perfect location and lovely historic home. We walked everywhere and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this wonderful area.

The house is lovely the area is great you can walk everywhere and the back deck view is beautiful, although it could use some trimming of over growth of the underbrush and repair of string of patio lights. All the bedrooms are nice and the beds are very comfortable. We would rent again if coming back to Plymouth!!

We had originally planned to have our entire large family come together for Christmas. Unfortunately several opted out for health reasons. If they all would have come there was plenty of room! A great setup. We hope to try again and would definitely rent this property again.
