Since this listing was probably it's first as the property is new, we did not know how we would find the accommodations. The pix looked good. The price was expensive, so we hoped it would be great. Well the home was better than we had hoped. It was soo clean and had mostly everything you needed for a stay with the family. The bedrooms were huge with 3 with king size beds which worked for our adult married children and there was a room with 2 bunk beds (each with a double and a single above) and a room with a queen size bed and a double. You could easily sleep 13 people. The king rooms had attached bathrooms which was very convenient. And as they were new, they were immaculate. The kitchen had a lot of counter and storage space. The owners left us some goodies for a charcuterie board and wine for our first night. The kitchen had all appliances and they were brand spanking new and clean. The living area would not accommodate 13 people, but was fine for 8 of us. But we sat in the lanai most of the days and had our meals out there. The table really only was for 6 people but we could squeeze 8 of us. The pool, although small, had a deep area and they kindly turned up the heat to 86 so there was no problem entering it or for the little people. The guys shot hoops in the pool basketball hoop constantly. We spent a lot of time in the pool area and outside on the docks in the adirondack chairs. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe. It was close enough for us to walk to the beach each evening to watch the sunset. The grocery stores are quite close and on Wednesday we went to the Farmers Market in Mackle Park which was fantastic, with baked goods, veggies, fruit, smoothies, cheese, etc. Very upscale. We had a wonderful time in this house and highly recommend it. The only downside was we were to clean the BBQ before we left and there was no BBQ brush or cleaner so I spent the better part of the last day cleaning it and trying to get grease off of the rags, sponge and my nails. For what we paid, that service should be included. We had to wash our sheets and towels and be out by 10:00 a.m. which was very hard to do with 8 people. Again, we paid a lot of money to Island Escapes and that should be included in the price. Really didn't want to spend my last day cleaning.
