Remote from city noises yet so close to everything. It is ideal for travelers from metropolis like us because we are looking for somewhere very quiet but definitely not somewhere 30 mins away from cafes and shops! The picturesque garden was such a surprise for us and we decided to take some pre-wedding photos over there! Nice neighbor also helped us a lot. Thank you very much!

There were lots of bugs on the grass of the garden and we got serious bugs bite. (It was not the owner's fault. In a rural area it happens) There were no kitchen cooker hood so we had to open windows when cooking indoors. Mass bugs flew in at night.

Room well furnished and clean. Nice outdoor spaces. Quiet place.

Wifi signal is very weak. Connection was almost impossible most of the time. No heat pump but electric blankets are provided.

We stayed in the cottage. It was excellent accommodation, exceeded expectations. The location is beautifully quiet and very tranquil. It's not in town, it's only 5-10 min's out. Would highly recommend the cottage.

Loved the view,the peace and quiet and Stefan was an awesome host.We could not leave due to the weather and the roads had all been closed.We asked Stefan if we could stay another two days and he said no problem. The only thing that I didn't like was having to waste the water.The hot water was very slow to heat up but when it did it was perfect.

Not too far from town (so long as you have your own transport), quiet location that makes you feel like you're miles away from civilisation, but just up the road from the residential suburb. Well appointed room that was perfect for the two of us. Cooking facilities sufficient Electric blankets provided (and on!). Heater in the room and on too. Coffee plunger provided (nice). Villas set in lovely grounds.

Quiet, Good Location, Lovely surroundings, warm. Good value. Friendly host, Would definitely recommend and very happy to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

WC could of been cleaner, but the rest of the bathroom and the unit was very clean.

Minimal extras ie tissues, soap. Many motels offer extra supplies. A nice touch is some biscuits on arrival.

I always love this beautiful place. It's run by amazing owners who are always kind and friendly. Ill always recommend this gem of a place. If you love a good sleep and listening to native birds. This place is for you.

Was told that one dog staying is free and any additional dogs would be $15 per night. But upon check in we got charged $10 for one dog.

we loved the size of the apartment, with three teenage girls and the weather being very wet it meant there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We all loved the lack of traffic and the beautiful grounds. Decor is beautiful and restful.

Not much to dislike! could do with salt & pepper and cooking oil.

just a sweep around the corners to get rid of spider webs etc would be adequate otherwise great stay

We stayed two nights, with our dog, in a studio room. Everything was clean and very tidy. The kitchenette had a microwave and two-ring hob. Kitchen was well equipped, so we had everything we needed for two people. Bedding was spotless. The room was a good size, so the dog could move around. Note: you have to supply your own dog bowls/bedding, but they have spares if you forget. The grounds are well laid out and pleasant to walk your dog around, plenty of room to play (for kids as well). There is a wee one-hole putting pitch too. Also, there is an indoor swimming pool which is not stated on Booking.com, pity as I would have taken my togs. There were several guests staying with children and we hardly noticed them, the noise level was very low. So a good night's sleep was had by all (incl the dog!). Location is excellent for New Plymouth. Diane and Stefan were excellent hosts, very approachable, and Di was brilliant with our dog. We would definitely go back, such a peaceful setting.

A small coffee table would be nice for when you're having a drink and watching TV as there's nowhere to rest your cup, but we improvised with the chilly-bin. Amazing cottage, beautifully styled and felt like home. Well appointed kitchen - both appliances and utensils/crockery etc. Lots of space - kids could play without being in the way. Decent size TV for the space too! Thanks for providing a beautiful space!

Driveway to the car park for the cottage is pretty narrow - folliage/plants just need trimming back I think :) was a bit tricky having a larger car, but manageable.

The garden is so beautiful. Nice and clean room. If a fan is also supplied, it would be lovely.
