The safety was not working. The building is too old. There were roaches in all 3 rooms that I reserved.

Nice stay

Employee was so rude and unhelpful. I travel for work constantly, this is by far the worst experience I have had. Will not be back. Avoid at all cost!

Room was passable. Breakfast was a joke. The room price doesn't match the breakfast offered.

Night staff was rude

Safety lock on door entry was broken off as if the door had been kicked in and the lock on the bathroom door was also missing, the frame too was cracked as if kicked in. Overall appearance of facility not appealing from outside, at first I thought it was closed down. Very disappointed and feel the price was exorbitant for this property.

There was no one at the front desk when I arrived and I tried using their intercom, and talking through the speaker on the window and end up waiting 20min before anyone showed up to check me in. When she did arrive she was unpleasant and rude and not welcoming. The room seemed to be overall clean, though I did not feel safe as the deadbolt did not work, and the lock above was questionable as seen in the photos. I had to put chairs up against the door to ensure that I was safer than I would be if I just relied on the one lock. I would advise against anyone else going to this hotel and I won’t be back.

Older facility and prevalent noise ruins the area.

I was exhausted and got a great night's sleep. It was very quiet.

The rooms aren't very clean and slightly run down, the outside is also slightly run down. The pool area was the nicest part of the entire place. Breakfast has very little to choose from.

Nice quite stay and rooms were very clean

The lady checking us was nice, but the man checking us out needs customer service training. He had ZERO customer service with no eye contact. We had 4 adults and 1 child and only 3 bath towels, one shampoo, no conditioner and one soap. Room smelled musty and the breakfast was all sweets! Would not recommend.

The property was outdated, dirty and smelly. The morning female staff did give me another room that was a bit cleaner and did not smell as bad. They refused to give me a refund, not even a partial refund, so we stayed the 3 nights, we did not have other options. The evening male staff was racist and rude. He yelled at me through out he conversation, telling me I must not understand English. The breafast pictures were not accurate. I will not stay here again. This was my worst hotel experience in my 25 years of traveling and staying at varies properties.

Was denied room and refund

This was an awful stay. Shame on Hotels.com for offering this accomodation. It looks awful from the outside and just as bad inside, which was nasty, unclean. Toilet had ring of mold. Corners of bathroom floor had accumulated debris and needed sweeping. Tub was not clean. Even alarm clock had visible layer of dust. Bed was not freshly made. The a/c unit was noisy. Everytime it turned off it made a loud gradual whistling and groaning sound. Don't think this room had been booked in awhile. I slept in my street clothes and washed everything I had taken with me when I got home. Also permanent/long term residents appear to be living there. All the room doors had dents as if a hurricane had come through or the doors had been kicked in. Whole environment felt unsafe. Needless to say we avoided breakfast.

It was very close to the hospital where my great grandson was born. It was a short drive across the bridge.

Nearby race track and a couple had a loud fight at 3 am. The toilet was loose and the faucet dripped constantly in the tub. The bed was comfortable.

Nice room, front desk was nice

Although mentioned availability of breakfast on website, there was none. As we left the staff said, “Oh, we would have brought you a bag if you had asked.” Nasty lobby and front; repairs needed. Advertised a pool on the marque, but empty and nasty. Don’t recommend!

Great for your money

This is the nastiest place i've seen and i really dont recommend staying there,and the front desk service is terrible they have an attitude and they dont try to work with you,its a take it or leave situation they dont care,i didnt even stay there and they didnt even try to refund me anything since supposly i had paid a day before,but i feel like if you dont stay the least you can do is refund the person out of courtesy but hell he just took the keys and said im sorry...but there is alot of noise oh and becareful cause the door knobs are all loose and from other reviews i've read people have actually gotten in to other peoples rooms at midnight,its scary and especially if traveling with family go somewhere else,you might pay a bit more but you'll definetly get your moneys worth somewhere else.

I didn't like that the comforter was dirty, hairs in the shower, sink and some of the receptacles did not work.

The people next to me woke me up and fighting all night

They don't let me get the room and I need my money back

I stayed for three nights and no maid ever came in and gave me new towels or took the trash out.

I was told that the “free brown bag breakfast “ was limited to ONE PER ROOM!!! Besides myself, I had three young children with me. I asked so all three are to share the little bottle of Sunny D. I was totally upset as the website shows free continental breakfast and then to be told only brown bags…. I get the Covid restrictions BUT ONE BROWN BAG PER ROOM WHEN MY RESERVATION STATED CLEARLY THERE’S 4 of us!!! The clerk actually called someone (who wasn’t in the building) to get permission to give me 4 brown bags for the 4 of us. Poor service. I’ve used your motel twice in the last 3 months when coming to Hickory. If this is the way things are going to be then I’m thinking I will not be staying here again!!

Old run down, terrible staff and no amenities overcharged to say the least. Horrible to be exact.

Hard drive way to go in and out.

They advertised newly renovated rooms but that was not the case. The room smelled terrible, I had to go buy air fresheners. The walls were dirty, the shower curtain was dirty, the fixtures were dirty, the fridge was dirty and the cabinet door almost came off when opening it. I mean you get what you pay for but they could at least clean it. The walkways were full of cigarette butts and there were blunt butts sitting on the window sill outside of my room. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.

This place is nasty and the guy that was working was the rudest person and took him 35 mins to even come to the window. After i already paid 99.00 dollars on hotels.com before arriving didnt know they wanted a 250 deposit and after hotels.com called hotel he refused to refund my money and they took 99 dollars from me and my family and this place is not what hotels.com claims it to be.
