The room the I have is not smoking room and smells like the cleaning lady smoking before cleaning

The smell on the floor and in our room was horrendous. We couldn’t sleep. The room was missing furniture. The staff kept harassing our group for ID each time they came through the door or was seen waking in the hallway. Will never stay again.

I requested a service room cleaning 4days in row ,they didn’t do it and when I asked why the manager said to me I don’t care and they threatened me to kick me out and they were aggressive with me and told me a bad words .I was unsafe and scared after that incident.

Nothing has ROACHES

I did not stay there. They demanded an extra $50 per person extra at the desk. They also demanded the ID of my sister staying with me, even though she was not a part of the transaction. I thought that I had secured the room with my credit card, but looking at my bank statement, it turns out I paid for that room. I would like a refund because the price displayed on Hotels.com was not the price of the room.

When we arrived, it was clear that this Red Roof Inn in New Britain (not Hartford!) doubles as a homeless shelter. Children were running up and down the halls at 11 p.m. Our room didn't even have a small refrigerator. YIKES. I was afraid our car might be stolen the area was so unsafe. (It wasn't).

The worst experience ever. Rude staff and one came and barricaded my door and wouldn’t let close it. It was extremely frightening! He was upset bc he loaned me a lighter and I didn’t return it when he thought I should. He beat on my door at 6 am and threatened to not return my deposit if he didn’t get his lighter. The lady in the morning was very condescending and snarky. She made me feel like I was a problem and inconveniencing her. She laughed in my face when I was obviously upset. Contact with the manager was unsuccessful, and I am extremely disgusted with the lack of professionalism all around. BE BETTER HUMANS!!

The elevator smelled like weed and the room smell was awful did not smell fresh or clean at all. The bathroom was not that well clean and cleaning was spotty .

This hotel is not up to the standard of 2023. It is old and run down. The staff were good people though, but protected behind a shield. That screams unsafe.

Room was big and clean. Was worried about where my car was parked.

Sometimes people are talking loud in the hallways.

Constant smell of tobacco & weed. There is a 1/2 inch gap under the door and it was in our nonsmoking room the entire stay. We couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. I also killed a bug crawling across my suitcase. Thankfully it was closed. I would never recommend this spot.

This hotel was a never-ending nightmare. I had my room switched 3 times because I encountered so many problems. My first room had a broken shower that was leaking water into my bedroom, followed by roaches coming out of the bathroom. The second room was just absolutely disgusting. The mattresses looked like a crime scene. Blood stains and other foreign substances saturated them, and they didn't even have the decency to put on a mattress protector. The third room was fine. It was missing a remote but I got a replacement. After I checked-out I couldn't find my car in the parking lot. They towed my car because the slip I put on my dashboard "wasn't visible enough" and had to pay $170 to get my car back. Then after I got home 2 Bounty Hunters knocked on my door trying to arrest a woman named "Randy". Apparently she used my ID and my likeness at the Red Roof/ Auto-Body shop. These are the only 2 places I showed my ID too, I don't know how she was able to access my information. This place is corrupt, unsafe, unsanitary, and has no maintenance. Completely unacceptable. Staying here made my life a living hell.

I was told we would have adjoining rooms...they dont have any. Found out when we got there. Asked for extra comforters to make a place for mu son to sleep. Never for any. Asked for extra pillows for one of my guest with a mesical condition, and had security called on me. I was told that people who ask for extra stuff are trying to steal...this was in a lobby full of people. Also, there was a mouse trap hidden under one of the beds. When i called customer service to complain, the property, of course, lied.

This place should not be allow to be open, unsanitary, very dirty, roaches every where, smells bad everywhere, j would never say thereeven if is free

We had a great stay with our doggies - we love red roof inn because they love dogs too!

I said "Good afternoon" to the desk clerk upon arrival and she replied, "What's good about it." She did provide good service thereafter...even if without a smile. No cleaning service for days, one elevator out, had to replace key, etc. But it was the least expensive in the area so what can one expect?

No parking

It wasn’t easy to check in there was a mix up and it took a very long time to resolve.

Entire hotel smelled like smoke, there were burn marks all over the duvet, sheets were dirty, no mattress protector, mattress was visibly filthy with what looked like blood. Plaster and plaster dust all over the floor, door didn’t lock

The room was spacious and clean but didn't really feel safe here. Not located in the best area of New Britain.

You get what you pay for. It’s an outdated , dirty property. My room smelled musty and the towels are the cheapest brand.

The staff was very good …but the Hotel is in brutal shape , and SMELLS BAD the moment you step in the Lobby. I paid extra for non-smoking room, don’t Bother, hell, too bad it didn’t smell more like cigarette smoke because the other STENCH was unreal. The Bed is like sleeping on 30 Blankets, brutal.
