The room was filthy. The toilet was not clean, bed linen had permanent stains, carpet looked like it had not been cleaned i. Years and the heating system did not work. It is obvious the owners dont have the financial means to keep this place up or worse dont care. As a result will not stay in a Road Runner motel ever again.

The room was barely clean. My daughter found garbage around the room, including pieces of a hair brush that she could have gotten hurt on had we not caught her before she put them in her mouth. There were roaches in the bathroom and we killed a wasp! There was pot scattered on the end table and the "non-smoking" room smelled like cigarettes and musty. The breakfast was cold. I stayed a year ago and it was much better maintained and cleaned. The staff was super helpful and friendly but I will NOT be staying here again!

i was given a room that had not been cleaned! The bed was made and the sheets were dirty. The floors had not been cleaned. The tv did not work. The front desk attendant was not all that interested and agreed to give me another room. The other room was marginally better and the shower valve was broken and the remote control did not work. To top it off, the breakfast was inedible. I had booked for two nights but stayed elsewhere.

What a dump! The highway noise was insanely loud. My son came to see me and found a condom in the stairway. TV didn’t work. Beyond awful!

When we first arrived. We went to use the microwave. It looked like something exploded in it. We opened it up and sure enough there was leftover food from someone else.
We stayed 3 days 2 nights. They never cleaned the room the whole stay.
The mattress was very hard and felt like broken springs.
And we found bedbugs.

The staff was very friendly. It was quiet place to sleep. The TV screen was all messed up. There was mold stains in the bathtub. The furniture was very dinged up. The bed was OK comfortable. But for the price, what would a person expect.

Needs an overhaul. The room smelled weird. The heater didn’t get hot and the air smelled weird. No comforter so got cold at night. You can hear the freeway traffic in the room. The walls are thin and could hear the conversation in the room next door. Wouldn’t stay again.

The room I stayed was shabby. Smell like an old room. Some stains in a char, curtains, walls. Room light shade was half broken. I could hear my neighbors TV sounds...etc
But cost-wise, this is good deal (around $80 for me per night). So, if you are looking for a reasonable room and you are happy if you have a bed, this is the place you should try.
If you'd like a fancy room, you should avoid this place.

The room was in dirty and in terrible shape. Stains on the carpet, sink broken, curtains ripped, smelled bad and the toilet wasn’t stable and was leaking.

No hot tub as advertised. Window won't close. You can't listen to the tv with the broken heater on. It's the tv or the heater. I had to sleep with my coat on. The room is dirty. Dirt in endstand drawer, Stains on carpet. Suposed to be a disabled room. I have a broken back this room was on the second floor all the way at the end of the hall the bathtub was to high to get into the shower. Definately one of the worst properties I've ever stayed

First night the room was terrible! Downstairs Door jam not connected cold air came into room, curtains torn, heater controls very dirty, bed broken down not comfortable.
Next morning went downstairs front desk moved us to better room! Thank you to person who gave us a new room😀

Took awhile to get chrcked in because of a shift change right at check in time. Request of a security deposit that was over $200. Room was in shabby condition with stained rugs, worn furniture, stain on the ceiling, dirty end table. Bed was comfortable at least.

No staff at desk when trying to check in two times. First time no notice as to where staff was or when they would be back, waited 10 minutes and left. Second time, no staff present but there was a notice that they were out on property but not when to expect them back.

The clerk was great. Refunded immediately after we went to and quickly left an uninhabitable room. My 88 year old father opened the door and turned to me and said it's not made up. I looked straight through open door. Asked my Dad's companion to stay in car. I went in room. The bed had a mattress pad halfway on the bed. Bed linens were tossed on a piece of furniture, as you stepped in, you were assaulted by the smell of URINE. Window was wide open, bathroom and room dirty. I don't know of a living thing that could have occupied that room. My Father was NOT going to be that creature. So we put the two small bags back in the car and went back to office where, as I said was refunded immediately and really showed no concern for that room's condition. We left and found a beautiful place across the freeway that opened a room for us so my Dad could spend a night with his companion for his 88th birthday 🎈🎂 NEVER again will I book for a Rodeway Inn room again. Park bench would be cleaner and safer.

It has a famous old school grocery and counter cafe directly next door called Ikedas. On the other side there is a great breakfast cafe serving lunch as well. Very clean and all the amenities of a major hotel. Safe, ironing board and iron, microwave, coffee and tea maker,etc... Front desk lady could be a bit more personable but hey, that's life. Good value.

Definitely an older property. Elevator was very dirty, and the operating permit expired three and a half years ago! Breakfast was fine with many food options.

The room was about 85 degrees when I checked in at abot 10:30pm. I turned on the a/c on then showered. The hand held shower head leaked in every direction.
I came out to brush my teeth and the faucet felt like it would come off in my hand. I then turned on the tv and found that there was no signal. I decided to go to bed, then realized that the bed was still about 85 degrees. Knowing that after no one would answer the desk phone that nothing would be done, I spent until about 3am between covering myself (a/c) & uncovering myself (bed heat). When I told the desk clerk that I would'nt be back because of it, she replied "Don't tell me."

when arrived , we found that the pool had been closed, family had been looking forward to it, so manager allowed us to cancel and offered some options . really appreciated and will look at returning to this establishment next time through. very good service

Decent stay, besides the place is a bit old, bed sheets has some stains, there’s a nice breakfast branch place next door, and some other dining options close by. Staffs are very nice and welcoming. Would stay again.

The room stunk of cigarette smoke the moment we unlocked. Several things in the room was falling apart, or missing (including towel holder and sink stopper). There were hairs on the bed sheets. It was overall an unpleasant experience, -but- I picked the cheapest motel in Auburn since we were just spending the night. Next time I will pay more to go elsewhere.

There was a group of us staying here for a business trip. We were not going to be spending too much time in the rooms so comfort of the beds and functionality of the showers was key. I had no complaints regarding the beds, and I felt like mine was quite comfortable. The showers did produce hot water, but the condition of the showers (and other furniture)... let's just say they have seen better days. The shower/tub handles were all very loose and almost broken to the point where everyone was worried they were going to be the ones to break them when trying to turn them on. All furniture was very banged up, chipped, scratched, etc. The internet and therefore TV was very slow and some TVs did not work at all. The A/C units were quite loud, and if it kicked into high mode (while on Auto) the sound would keep me awake, so I had to keep it on Low. I was also bummed that the hot breakfast portion was not served one of the mornings. Overall, we had a place to stay that provided breakfast. But we would unfortunately never stay here again.

Pros:
The front desk staff was very polite and professional.
The breakfast offered in the morning was great.
Cons:
Our room was disgusting. Torn lamp shades, flickering lights, leaks around the the bath tub. No garbage can. The room smelled like stale smoke. The sink was cracked extensively to where it was almost unusable. The shower water was scalding hot, and never cooled off. I would have never gone barefoot in the room. God knows what was on the carpet.
I should point out that we were in a building in the back, which I requested because there was a large group gathered in the front parking lot for a charity event. The building up front, where the free breakfast was served, was likely in better shape.
I would never, ever, stay here again.
