At first glance, I thought I’d made the wrong choice of the many hotels in the area. No frills hotel, not much thought put into decorating or layout. TV in lounge area is positioned behind the wall where the chair/sofa seating is facing the breakfast area. Room was clean and bed was comfortable which is the most important.

This hotel was exactly what I was hoping for. Very quiet at night. Everything in the room was in working order and clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The front desk staff were professional and courteous. I can't think of anything that needs improvement. The breakfast was quite good. I did not use the pool but it seemed people were having a good time swimming. Access to the interstate was easy and the restaurants immediately around the hotel were fantastic! I seldom repeat stays at hotels but this one I will likely stay at again the next time I'm in the St Louis area.

Check in was great, although the room keys didn’t work, had to go back to the front desk for reprogram and the desk person ask us “Did we forget and put the room keys in our pockets with our cell phones?” No we didn’t. The hotel is so very worn and shabby. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. I tried to call front desk and in room phone broken. Blow dryer only works if you keep your thumb on the power button. Breakfast the first day was terrible. No fruit or yogurt at all. Just packaged chemical “food”. We heard they had missed a food delivery, which actually came later that morning after we’d taken breakfast elsewhere. I complained to the front desk about all of the above, and they did absolutely nothing. This was one of the most depressing and disappointing stays ever for us. If you’re looking for a place to wallow in your sadness and pessimism about the state of things, then definitely check into the Discomfort Inn.

Says pet friendly but Travelocity does not say pet friendly under 50 lb. Desk gal called supervisor and got permission to let us stay. Problem was with Travelocity info.

The only real complaint we had was the room was hot or cold no matter what we did. We could not regulate the thermostat to get it comfortable in the room.

The hotel was clean, staff was exceptionally pleasant. Our last night there my son’s bathroom needed a plunger and the night shift attendant, I think she said her name was Kate. Was so helpful and stopped what she was doing Ie preparing breakfast, to go find us a plunger, the entire time she had a smile on her face and was so nice. So THANK YOU KATE !!!!! PS pool was a HUGE hit for my grandkids. Very clean and taken well care of !!!

They have “stink bug” issues according to them and there was a brown recluse at the foot of my bed. Nice hotel otherwise and people were friendly. Bed not great and room needed attention

Nice room. Stayed in the queen suite and the room was lovely. We had noisy people in the rooms above us, so if i stay again I'm going to request 3rd floor. Breakfast had decent options for many people, but i usually only do eggs, but the scrambled eggs were so overdone both days that i stayed as to be inedible, and there really weren't other low carb options. So i was disappointed in breakfast but otherwise would stay here again.

We stayed in a large room wth 2 queen beds.The bathroom was also large and the beds were very comfortable, so the room as a whole was amazing!! However, the smell of mold was so intense, it burned the nostrils!! I also found ants in the room the next morning, which we brought to the attention of the front desk staff (they were great!) who said they'd send someone in to take care of it once we left that morning. The breakfast was the regular hotel fare. Because of the mold, we would not stay here again.

I like how accessible and courteous were the people in the front desk. Breakfast was good. I guess they were remodeling something because the blocks were stocked outside our room window. Did not tried the pool but being in a covered area makes it safe and available to the hotel guest. Our room, 104, was really spacious and clean. Highly recommended.

I stayed over this Aug 12-13 in room 224 and while most of everything was very good, the room was VERY STUFFY. The bed when I tried to sleep on it felt DAMP. I’ve read in one of the reviews about a similar situation, I don’t know if this is only for one room but hope management will fix it.

Breakfast was a little weak. Breakfast opened at 6:00 AM, I went down at 6:10 and they were out of eggs, only three other people in the breakfast area. Juice machine didn't work one day. Other than that, stay and facility were excellent

I had a pet friendly room and it did smell like pets had stayed there. I preferred a 1st floor room so I kept it because a non pet room was on the 3rd floor.
I felt it was a very nice room for the price and will consider staying there when I'm in town again.

Where as the our overall stay was alright, there are somethings that could use some attention. The shower ceiling has mold which caused a musty smell in the room. The room also stayed heavy of humidity even with the A/C on. We had a pet with us, so the policy was to not come in and clean the room unless we requested so. When we did all we got was some towels and wash cloths laid on the sink counter. Nothing cleaned, nor the beds touched in a five day stay. Staff was friendly enough. Food was adequate, but could use a little better variety.

We stayed here after an event at the World Wide Technology Raceway, only 15min away. Check in was quick and easy even after Midnight. Breakfast was good and plenty of choices like biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, etc. I would stay again. I would stay again.
