Sooooo. 2 am….an alarm goes off. Loud sirens and strobe lights greet me as I wake up from my gummy induced sleep. After running into walls and finding the light switch, I almost get the dogs hitched and it all stops. I call down the the desk who told me it’s a general alarm, but the fire department is coming!??? I’m like do I have to evacuate? He’s like no. No apologies, no announcements, nothing.
The room is dingy, the couch had a mystery stain on it and there was no shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Beer cans piled up on the lawn outside. Not a safe feeling hotel.
Dogs and human traumatized. No one slept after that. The end.

The Breakfast wasn’t much of a Breakfast, porch of oatmeal, and some coffe ?

Late check in and staff member seemed generally disinterested. Not in any uniform or dress that would indicate he even worked there. Room was fine for my short stay.

It was nice and accommodating. Full kitchen.

This day was fair the couch was stained and ripped the mattress with soil through. The shower head was broken.

Very badly maintained hotel. Smelling corridors, no room service for 1 week. No shampoo or body wash. Breakfast Costco muffin and some breakfast bar. Not worth the price. Better at Home 2 suites. Very dissatisfied with hotels recommendation. The franchise people should inspect them. Not to the standard expected from a brand.

I would not use this place for a family vacation.
Pro: the room has a full kitchen
Con: the fridge was dirty; it literally had spill stains that could have easily been wiped down, and there was structural debris around the bathroom sink * I cleaned it up. Breakfast is the same every day: multigrain bar, or chocolate or blueberry muffin, no bold coffee, they have decaf instant coffee packets. The only reason we chose this place was because it was less for our budget and allowed dogs*** when we checked in, we were then informed that a $25 daily pet could have sooo stayed at HOME2U for that price. YOU are responsible for bringing towels to the laundry room along with taking out your own trash. They do count your towels, so make sure to get clean towels when you take your dirty towels to the laundry. Otherwise, you may not get a new clean towel. ** I had to explain that I was not aware of the laundry procedure and was questioned when I dropped the towels why I did not then get new towels at that time. YOU must also request any kitchen items; the kitchen is completely bare. They do not have paper towels, and all toiletries are single-use packets.

Location is noisy, being right next to the Oakland Airport. Parking lots are dimly lit. Staff and signs in the parking lots warned of theft and car break-ins. First morning of my stay, the hotel didn't have the Continental breakfast due to supply delivery. The second night of my stay the front security door had to remain propped open because of an issue with the door. After I checked into my room (222), I found that the AC didn't work and one of the outside windows was "off track," causing a loud whistling noise when the wind blew. I requested another room. The window latches of my second room (224) were broken off. The sink had cracks in it. There was only one waste basket, located in the bathroom. The clock radio did not work.

The only redeeming thing was the front receptionist who also seemed to be maintenance and housekeeping.
Shower knob broken and I just about scorched myself because I couldn’t turn down the heat. The dryer didn’t work.
Breakfast was not a thing “we ran out of stock” !!

Staff was very helpful and kind. The room was reasonably clean, but the hallways smelled intensely of cigarette smoke.
I had initially intended to stay at the location in Alameda, and the similar names between the resorts lead to confusion. According to the receptionist this happens a lot, so I would encourage corporate to change the names from "Oakland Alameda" and "Oakland Alameda Airport" instead to "Oakland Airport" and "Alameda" to avoid future confusion.

Just a place to sleep.

The property was adequate. The room had an iron but no ironing board. I called for one and the front desk took care of it right away. They were great but they seemed understaffed. The room was very basic. Stayed here for proximity to airport and cost, but what I saved in the room cost I spent in Uber fees. A hotel airport shuttle would’ve been amazing. Seemed like a safe area though.

The property is fine, our room this time was the problem. We’ve stayed here before and enjoyed it which is why we returned. This time is a completely different experience. When we entered the room we immediately noticed a heavy smell of incense. I called and asked for another room but was told they were out of rooms with a king-sized bed. We decided to stay, figuring we’d become accustomed to the smell. We did, only to discover the incense was used to mask the cigarette smell! In addition, there’s mold at the sink, a carpet nail sticking up near the bathroom that I caught my foot on, there are stains on the carpet, sink area, and bathroom ceiling (yes!), there is damage to a bedside table, the closet area shelf’s bracket is broken so that the shelf is unusable, and the bed is old and hard, not at all as comfortable as with our previous stay. I have pictures to demonstrate these things. We’re regretting having not rented a room at the Hampton Inn down the street.

The breakfast included was nothing. Only muffins and coffee. We asked for an extra pillow and was told that they did not have one. Then the person at receptionist needed to go to find one from another room.

Checked into the room and found leftover food & crumbs from previous guest. The wall near the restroom in my unit had floor boards peeling off. There was no coffee or tea inside the room & when I went to the "continental breakfast" at 730am there was literally 1 pack of instant oatmeal. That's all.

The staff were great. Unfortunately the entire second floor and our room smell old and smoky like people previously smoked in it. It could be in the acoustic ceilings and improper cleaning before painting. Our room 205!like like it was newly painted-poor workmanship. This place could be really nice it it was fixed up properly. The were lots of customers smoking marijuana. Informed staff at counter. The pillows could be better as well. Just things you should know. Good luck with the place.

This was the 2nd time I stayed at this hotel. Last time the room soundproofing was excellent, making the airplane traffic at the nearby airport nearly inaudible. The sound insulation in the room this 2nd time was horrible. I was kept up all night by the airplanes taking off and landing constantly, even at 3am. The a/c / heater was located right next to the bed and was equally as noisy. The other issue was the hotel advertising their "Free breakfast." It was pretty slim. Just coffee, packaged muffins, and microwavable oatmeal. No fruit, no yogurt, no juice or milk, no dry cereal, and certainly no eggs.

Unfortunately, the “continental breakfast” only had some small muffins in cellophane bags and very bad coffee. I was told “the manager is out picking up some supplies now” - and it was 7:30 am

When we reached there after our long flight journey we were looking forward to a nice kitchen equipped with basic utensils and coffee machine and toaster. But we found they had nothing. When we enquired on the front desk. That man said we are out of them as we are fully booked( I didn’t even see that many cars).we had persons with dietary restrictions and really wanted a fully equipped kitchen. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I would highly recommend you, at least in SFO ro call the hotel first and ask for utensils available before booking.

Couch torn and ratty.
Faucet handle in shower broken.
Parking lot poorly lit at night and dirty.

Employee at check in seemed in-different and rushed a standard amenity speech which was hard to understand because he rushed through it. We were given a room that hadn’t been cleaned. There was trash and food all over the room and bed was not made. We were able to return to the desk and we received another room. The second room was better. However, the bathroom door would not latch.

I reserved online, upon arrival front desk informed me that elevator was not working. I was there 2days. I called front desk the 1st morning about the breakfast, and was told they was no breakfast just coffee, which was very disappointing, i had to get out & drive to get breakfast, which i felt was very inconvenient.

Relatively inexpensive place to stay in Alameda. Room was dated, window’s didn’t open well; elevator broken. Fine for a basic place to sleep that was more convenient than staying in Oakland.
