Great stay except for 2 things…the shower had crappy water pressure (but it was doable) and the gentleman at the front desk was super agitated/frustrated about having to do his job. Lots of huffing and rudeness. I felt bad for the couple he was checking in because they didn’t have reservations. Clean hotel and the breakfast was good. Very convenient location to everything. Abs not very far from downtown Bham. The lady when we checked in was super nice and very helpful. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is with check-in. After arriving a little early, I went to my business meeting and my husband tried to check in. He was rudely told to come back at 4:00. Otherwise, the breakfast was better than expected, and the rest of the stay was fine.

Where to start? I arrived at 2:40 to check in, which was about twenty minutes early. The front desk clerk asked for my name and when I gave it he gave out and exhaustive, “Oh no” and then informed me that house cleaning had not even started cleaning my room that I had booked and prepaid for. I was finally able to get a smaller room, but was charged for the larger since I had prepaid online. That evening when I spoke with a manager she was dismissive of my situation and refused any refund even though I was in a smaller room and told me check in was not until 4:00. I showed her the check in time on my phone was 3:00 and she moved a lamp that the shade covered a small plaque which had a paper 4 pasted over the check in time. The next morning at 8:30 housekeeping was banging on the door to clean the room and check out was not until 11:00. At 8:45 my wife and I went to eat breakfast and all the food was pulled. When another guest told them breakfast was advertised to be served until 9:30 she just smiled and said, “Sorry” and walked away. I informed the front desk clerk and they had them bring the food back out, but it took until 9:15 and by then there were several women and children waiting to eat so I let them eat first. The food was not good. I typically look to stay at a Holiday Inn Express when I travel because of the convenience and included breakfast, but I will NEVER stay at the one in Trussville, Alabama again. The worst part was I was staying there to attend a funeral.

Nice hotel for solid value. The pool wasnt very clean and left my son's white swim shirt green. Other than that, it was decent.

The handicapped shower was not accessible for someone who is unable to stand. It was simply a tub with a whole lot of bars installed on the walls and a shower head that was monal. The sink hight was way too high for anyone in a wheelchair to reach as was the soap dispensers on the wall. The breakfasts were marginal and not to the standard of Holiday Inns unless you want biscuits and gravy. Also the trays of food weren't being kept full and some standard options weren't alway available. Lots of TV channels but most were sales. It would have been nice to know what number the major channels were. It was kept very clean and the staff friendly when spoken to.

Friendly, professional staff, safe and convenient location, very clean, quiet, lobby beautifully decorated, lots of restaurants nearby to choose from. Front desk lady who check us in was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

It was just a quick place to sleep after our family Christmas get together. Front desk was nice, check In was quick and bed was comfy- the only issue we had was that everytime people around us opened and closed their door it was extreme loud and ended up waking us up well before we would have liked

It was very clean. The staff didn't even greet us and when asked for additional towels stated there was some in room which we didn't see.

This hotel was cleaner than any of the hotels in the Overlook Mountain area of Birmingham. It was clean, well kept and the front desk employees were polite. The wifi was great for the meeting I needed to attend via Zoom. My only complaint was that there wasn't decaf coffee available in the morning.

I have no complaints with the hotel and it's staff. The property was clean and we'll run. The staff was pleasant during interactions and willing to help in any way. My children love the free breakfast in the morning. The hot food was good. The only minor shortcoming is how close it is to the interstate. Traffic noise can be heard, but it's tolerable. I would definitely stay again.

The stay and hotel is ok but one of the reason we chose them was because they serve breakfast at 6am, we were passing through had a long drive from TX to PA but we were disappointed that we woke up at 6 left almost 6:30 there was no movement or food nor coffee ready. Since we have a long drive we couldn’t wait for al these to be set up or served and we had to find a place to get breakfast and coffee. Should’ve known these were not ready like they said it is we could’ve chosen another hotel that’s prompt with breakfast to serve.

Was not made aware until check-in that rooms would not be cleaned, beds made, nor towels replaced during my entire three night stay. A note was given to me with the receipt stating this at check-in. Very annoying to have no maid service for the room. Any needed items had to be requested at the desk. If I had known this, I would have booked elsewhere.

The hotel was clean and well taken care of. I was very disappointed that the pool was only open until 7pm. Having a pool at a hotel is something that I always look for, but we couldn't even use that amenity. In addition, the staff needs to take into consideration the placement of people in rooms...especially since the wall/ceiling are very thin. We were awoken several times by the people/kids above us that were jumping and running. Also, we were right across from the ice machine, which is very loud when it is being used -- needs to be enclosed, or put away from rooms.
